Quick, reliable, can leave the car, to go for a walk by the movie theater or the shops that are ever growing in number.
Well lit area, safe for late night charges too.
Kinda ghetto spot to put chargers lol. Beware of people parking there just to park. Fast charging though! Just didn’t want to see 8 19 year olds in swimsuits and no tshirt while im charging my car….. ya know?
Only 6 stalls with 150kw max. Usually 3 or more in use so charging may take awhile if power is being shared. Wish they would upgrade to v3 or better yet add more stalls
I didn't visit a Tesla Supercharger GOOGLE. I visited a Sonic Resturant which happened to have a Teslas Supercharger located near it. I don't own, drive, or want an electric vehicle. I don't have anything against EV's, but they are not a realistic solution to every person's driving needs. They are fine for city driving and short distances. But charging requirements make them impractical and unsuitable for a majority of the population.. Plus they seem to have a unusually high incidence of spontaneous combustion of a somewhat explosive nature. And they are too damn expensive for most people to own. I prefer to not even be near one. And there is no climate crisis. That's a political and big business agenda intended to force the mass of society to comply with the Elites and governmental utopian dreams.
Getting a bit old. The chargers are showing their age. There were 2 inoperable. But I was able to pull near 150kW. So it's still chugging along. Hopefully it will get a 250kW update.
Good lighting, shopping mall and a Sonic, BBQ and Target nearby. But one of the slowest charging rates of any supercharger I’ve ever used. Slow with or without other cars.
Had a good experience charging at this location. Stalls were not super busy (used it at night). Has good places around to eat like BWW and Sonic. Also has a shopping mall around. ??
A very good location for a supercharger. There's lots of food options (sonic, Arby's, and Buffalo wild wings.. That's what I saw within walking distance.. More in the area) there's also a strip mall if u want to pass the time when not hungry, also walking distance. And obviously the car charged so fast we barely finished our sandwiches before it was all charged and ready to go.
The one stall that you drive into, that is forward, Does not work. We had to wait for another stall to open up. Today is Friday, June 25, 2021. Not sure how Tesla tracks these chargers that are not working.
Chargers are in a secluded side of the parking lot, but it is well lit. It was actually rather nice being away from all the traffic. If you have dogs, there's actually a nice field for them. Walk past the chargers/behind them and you'll see a nice size field fenced on 3 sides.
This was the best charging station of all that used. At this location there are several place within a short walking distance to go to. The only draw back is when you are there late at night and everything is closed it can be a little daunting. Not a lot of security. After a long drive a stretch is needed.
Charger is fast (145kW+), but you’ll often get blocked by gas vehicles. Also, Lake Charles folks seem to not see Teslas too often, as you'll get neck-breaking stares from literally every passing car, lol.
Close by to the Golden Nugget and L'Auberge casinos if that's your destination. Otherwise, there's a few dining and shopping options available. Charging stalls have always been available and functioning for me.
