The only place I'VE recycled at for the last 7 years. I was so surprised after reading the reviews. The office has always been nice to me. I've never experienced any sort of discrimination from the office or weight Center. Sometimes in life on planet Earth our inner energies and mindset will reflect upon another person giving an outer appearance that it's the staff who is servicing us,when indeed it's a reflection of who we really are.
This place is something serious. The new management is horrible. They are changing the weights to benefit them because they can manage the scrap on the yard. Nobody has any knowledge of anything. No customer service at all. They say they improving but it looks more like downgrading

Drivers, avoid this place if possible. You will waste a lot of time and risk damaging your tires. There’s very little space for entering, exiting, or turning around. The worst place I've ever been.
The black girl at the desk is very rude and unprofessional you ask her a question and she turns her head and ignore you. She also operates the scale very slow leaving lines up to the Main Street with no consideration of people time, if she’s operating I recommend going to other scrap yard in Waskom or on Hollywood Ave. After this experience several other business partner will be relocating our business else where until the black girl has been fired and you stop getting ripped out your money. If you are in a hurry and trying to make money please avoid for 1 load will be all you will be able to get.
Rude staff and workers....got there 30 minutes before closing with some aluminum and was told to unload it myself and place it on and off scales over and over because employees had already washed up and weren't gonna get their hands dirty that close to quitting time. Worst prices on anything but trash metal. Very rude folks.
I have been to a lot of different scrap yards. This one is decent. They have reasonable rates (not the best, but certainly not the worst), they have cleared up the paths some since I first went there a couple of years ago, but you still have to watch where you go, and go extremely slow or you could very easily damage your vehicle. One of my biggest complaints would be the fact that they only have one scale coming in and going out. With the volume of business that they do, it would behoove them to install multiple scales, in my opinion. There have been times that they were so busy that the lines coming in and out made for a very long wait time. Friendly staff. I have and still do recommend them to friends.
The staff here went above and beyond to help us with our first load to their yard! Took their time to help us maximize our money, and the equipment operators are VERY good at what they do! We will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back!
I loaded 42,000 lb of clean copper going to Dallas the guys in the yard are great told me where I needed to go and how I needed to get into the dock to a T the woman in the office on the other hand came out and yelled at me and I was waiting for the green light to come on to pull on the scales. Said you need to back out of the way now so my driver can get out very freaking rude so I backed up let him out and then pulled on the scales asked her if she needed my PO number she said rudely quote I know where you're going and then talk to the yard worker really nice I do not recommend anybody hauling a 53 ft trailer load out of here
Both Of The Women In the Office Are Really Rude , Racist And Egocentric, am Latino And Everytime i Go In There I Wait to See What They're Gonna Bi+ch About ,About The ID Doesn't Look Clear, Have You Ever Been Here Before?(Rolls eyes) Literally Shoves My ID Back in My Hand , Pay You and Look At You As If You're Taking Too Long To Leave. WORST PLACE EVER!, BLACK FOLK THERE WORKING LOOK AT YOU AS IF THEYRE APOLIGIZING FOR THE OLD HAGS BEHAVIOR. IF i HAD A -5 Star OPTION I WOULD CLICK IT .
It's a scrap yard, that's for sure. Got to be careful when you go there, could easily mess your vehicle up. No real help as far as where you need to go to unload something.
Well I have a load of aluminum prices down it's down on everything but the price of gas keeps going up all in all I guess it was an okay day general scrap they're doing what they can I still read them very highly
I went there yesterday and on the aluminum side I was having to put on and tske stuff off the scale. I tripped and fractured my hand and rib. I'm just going to let a lawyer handle it from here.
I got ripped off. I had 1 piece. I weighed it before I loaded it. They had the truck weight wrong and definitely had the piece wrong by 200 lbs. Place is clean but no help once ya leave scale as far where to unload. I told her scales were off but of course. I didn't know what I was talking about. Not enough to argue about. Never again.
