Great service, great staff. They did a quick job for me and changed out my transmission filters and fluids. Long overdue and needed. They paid attention to the details and removed all debris from the pan and magnets. Grateful.
Would give them 10 stars is I could.
They repaired my AC and had to take the dash off. When I got it back, I had more problems than I came in with. Blamed me for the steering wheel being drastically out of alignment. Said it must have already been like that when I brought it in or I hit something since. They said the radio having static stations all of a sudden was coincidental. And both of these things happened the second I pulled out the parking lot? Doubtful! Plus, the heater problem that they were supposed to fix, that I bought the parts for, wasn't fixed. I've spent plenty of money in their shop, but after this I will never be back and I won't recommend them anymore.
My car is 55 yrs old. Ive had it since 1993. I dont let just anyone work on it. I have used used Boudreaux's on more than 1 occasion . They have always done good work and have always been fair, honest and reasonable with me. What more can you ask?? You cant go wrong with these guys!
I brought my truck in for a starter checked said it wasn’t the starter sold me a battery. Truck started first time then wouldn’t start I called them and told them about and the lady who answered the phone told me you tried tapping on that starter? Not funny.
Boudreaux tried to give me the sausage. I had my stick shift towed there to get the clutch replaced. This job should cost roughly $1500 and I was quoted $4000 minimum. When I asked how they got this number I was told they took the vehicle for a test drive during the diagnoses, which is impossible since the clutch had completely failed. Secondly, the parts list I was given for the repair included fluid and parts for a torque converter. The torque converter is not found in a manual transmission. If you are not educated about how your vehicle operates mechanically stay away from these guys. They are not honest mechanics.
Hacks. Had them rebuild a motor and replace clutch. They messed up the wiring, the clutch, and cut corners all over the place. When you call about the issues they hang up on you. Avoid this place like the plague

Very very honest and straight forward people who run Boudreaux's Automotive. I've taken my vehicles to other places around that area and was extremely unhappy with their work (Ascension Transmission).... But I tried Boudreaux's and every since my first experience needing repair Boudreauxs has been upfront, honest, saved me the most money on parts, quality work, very kind receptionist who is not just a secretary but knows her stuff as well. I have used Boudreaux's 4 times since the first time and the same experience every time!! If U want quality work, fair prices, and most importantly honest people to work on your vehicle, I HIGHLY recommend Boudreaux's Automotive!!! Thanks Boudreaux's for all your work and help!!! Honest quick work . I recently went in for a rear wheel bearing on my explorer , saved time money and most of all the heartake of a dishonest shop. Thanks again for a great job
They lied to me..quoted me one price and the called a second time and quoted me a high price after having my car..then on top of that they charged me $111 for a diagnostic test that was never performed..before I brought my car up here me and my uncle checked everything and there wasn’t any oil and water mix in my car at all..so they did that to my car because of the rude lady at the front desk. She very very very unprofessional.. I advise you all to go somewhere else before u get your car back with worst problems before entering this place..it’s the worst place I have ever and I mean ever dealt with..please take my advice bc if you don’t you will regret it in the end..!! I can promise you that..!!
Brought my 2013 Accord in due to a howling noise that would start at 40 MPH and change pitch as speed increased. I figured it was a rear wheel bearing but simply do not have the time to diagnose and change myself. Received a quote stating that not only both front wheel bearings needed replacing, but also the complete right CV assembly. There was never any indication of CV joints going bad, but I told them if one is going bad, the other is soon to follow. So I requested both be changed since removal of the bearing assembly requires you to do everything but pull the CV joint from the trans axle. I also told them to go ahead an replace the leaking valve cover gasket that I was aware of.
My wife called me at work after paying and picking up the car a couple days later. She was quite upset and explained that the car was making the same noise after spending $1600 for repairs. We had a flight scheduled for vacation the following day so we left the car and keys Thursday night. Received a call on Friday that the car was ready. One of the rear wheel bearings was replaced and would be an additional $275.
Upon returning from vacation my wife picked up the car once again. The original issue was now resolved by replacing one wheel bearing, $275. My personal opinion is that the problem was misdiagnosed resulting in $1300 of unnecessary repairs being done considering the valve cover gasket had to be replaced anyway.
Although I can't confirm it happened while in their care, I found an additional surprise of a dent on the right front fender.
I am not insinuating intentional overcharging, but I will say that management certainly needs to get a handle on their quality assessment and control (QA/QC) for diagnosis and repairs.
I have has a lot of work done at this shop! Will never trust another shop with my car again. They are honest, friendly and clean. They worked with me on the bill and is always helpful!
They do great work and I trust them with my car. I've been using them for almost 10 years and they've only made one mistake, which they worked hard to fix with no extra charge. Everyone is friendly & they all assume I'm reasonably intelligent and can make rational decisions about my own car. There have been places that I've been suspicious of for inflating prices or making up some bogus expensive problem, but never here. Highly recommend.
It’s so nice to go into a clean mechanic’s shop and to feel they’re being 100% honest with me. This is the place I’ve been looking for all this time. The work was done on my SUV both timely and perfectly. I’ve driven 600 miles since the repairs and I’m tickled with the performance of my vehicle. Thank you Bourdreux’s. I’ll be back next time I need a mechanic.
If you want it fixed this is the place to go.i took my 1996 Chevrolet s10 to mr fix its in gonzales where they kept it over aweek then told me i needed a new engine and ask me if would want to sell it (ive heard this happens alot) i told the mechinic no and picked it up the next day. Took it to Boudreauxs they replaced the bent valves and called me David Boudreaux did the work himself just to help me out of a tight spot. You do not find people willing to go that far anymore.you can believe this I DO NOT FORGET A SHOP LIKE THIS.THANK YOU DAVID BOUDREAUX AND ALL THE GUYS THAT WORK FOR YOU IT REALLY MEANS ALOT
Picked up my car today from their shop. They fixed the issue I had described to them, however they broke my parking brake and pulled loose my stick shift boot and did not put it back. The owner of the shop denied any responsibility for this and was very rude to me and basically called me a liar. I've used this shop numerous times, but I will never go back after today. I strongly recommend that everyone avoid these unprofessional liars.
