I had 20 pounds of copper weighed it before I took it down there when I got up To the office to get my money they handed me $16 My receipt said I had 4 pounds. I recommend everybody to take their stuff to Somerset
Be careful following Google maps to this place. It will take you down the back road and literally into the woods to the back entrance and there is no back entrance. There is no road that goes to the back of this place.
They don’t weigh your stuff properly don’t classify your stuff properly and give you a guess at what they want to give you better off taking your recycling anywhere else 💯💯💯 just strait ripping ppl off
Great place to take all your recyclables. Plus you can search through there back lot of old cars and trucks. And find a part that you might need for your vehicle at a cheap reasonable price. Friendly ppl
This is a great place to get compensation for your old unused scrap metal! Great experience while cleaning up around Monticello KY! The first time we made our recycling drop off we met Jesse! He was at the scales where you drop off the copper/brass. Great customer service! At the next scale they weigh your vehicle and then you go drop off your load. We met Chris while unloading. Chris has excellent customer service as well! You have to weigh your vehicle again so they know how much you dropped off. Last, but not least I went to the payment window. On both occasions both women were pleasant to speak with and all smiles. I even got 2 free hats! We enjoy going to this location and are excited to recycle in Monticello KY and help clean up and beatify the environment! Thank you to all the employees of Iron Man Recycling that keep things running smoothly! We will definitely be back soon!
