If you’re wanting to go to a place this feels like going to grandmas house out in the country this place has got the vibe had great food would recommend looking if you are wanting to go somewhere for the drive because even the drive down is scenic
I absolutely love this place. It's a mother, daughter, and stepfather who run it and they all are extremely nice. The daughter remembered me when I came in again and that meant alot. I also got the pork chop special with a baked potato and side salad for $11. The food reminds me so much of my mamaws cooking.
I own some land down close by me and my son eat in there everything love the place great food. You will see me in there all the time I'm the guy that owns the land down from where you live awsome place thanks for having this close for me and my family to enjoy keep look out for me on the big bucks thanks
This is THE place! Where else can you get a homestyle cooked meal that is as good as mama used to make, and then go downstairs to the basement to one of the best stocked gunshops of its size in Kentucky! After Summer and Reggie feeds you a great meal, Tom will make sure you have whatever guns, ammo and accessories you needs for hunting and /or home or self defense! So, if you have never visited this place, you need to JUST DO IT! If you have been to The Sweet Owen Country store and Gunshop, then you already know what I'm talking about, and are no doubt a frequent customer!
I love this little place. It’s like stepping back in time. Good food, love the fried bologna sandwiches. The older gentleman that waits on is a treat. Gun store down stairs. We stop by every time we go to Elk Creek shooting range.
Great food, and wonderful atmosphere. One of the last old time sit down places to grab a good bite of food, read a newspaper and enjoy the peace of the country.
This was a nice hidden gem that I came across one time 10 years ago when I was driving up 127 and they had a sign pointing down a road saying "Burgers and Guns". Naturally it caught both my interests in burgers and guns. So I drove down the road to find this store and just keep coming back to it. I enjoyed the burgers, and I enjoy the gun store that Tom runs, and just keep coming back for their products and friendly service.
Quaint primitive store and cafe with wood stove. Great blackberry cobbler! Sweet tea. Great deli sandwich with quality meats. Unique fried balogna and egg sandwich was the reason we drove out if our way to visit. Gun shop downstairs.
Have breakfast nearly every day during hunting season. food and the folks there are amazing .Summer treats you like family, and Tom will keep you in the woods with his gun smithing skills. This restaurant/Gun shop is 5 stars every day . If you don't try this place, you're missing out. And if you try this place you'll understand my post. Hunting season is 6 month away, and i can already smell my sausage and eggs by the wood stove. Check out the gun shop , GREAT people, GREAT service, GREAT selection. Tom will take care of you. LOVE YOU GUYS

This place rocks! Old school hospitality, prices, and feel. Little bit of almost everything. Gun store is cool. Tom is really nice to deal with. Truly a place where your word is still your bond. Can't recommend highly enough.
Absolutely Bizarre. Walked in at noon on saturday. Server was chatting with another table and completely ignored us. We sat there for 15 minutes and she saw us sitting at the table but nothing. No Service!!!. Setting is charming and they could have a good thing going if they got their act together.
