I was in a hurry and dealing with a lot of pain, and I needed help figuring out the correct size wiper blades for my truck. The team was quick to help. By the time I finished paying with my card, I found out that one of the employees, Rodney, had already gone outside and replaced my wipers for me—in the rain. When someone notices that you’re struggling and takes the initiative to help without being asked, it really means something. Acts of kindness like that deserve to be recognized. I can’t r the name of the other employee who helped me, but he was great as well. Honestly, every time I come to this store, I’m treated with respect. That’s why you’ve earned a loyal customer. Thank you to Rodney and the rest of the team for going above and beyond.
Shoutout to the second employee who actually did his job, used the computer, and found my part with total patience. He is single-handedly saving this store's reputation.As for the first employee, today was an absolute masterclass in rookie mistakes. Since we’ve had perfectly fine interactions in the past, I can only assume he was trying out a new persona today: the aggressively lazy gatekeeper. He flat-out refused to help without a part number. I even tried to give him a pass by checking on him outside during his smoke break, but he proudly doubled down on his hostility. When an employee tells you "go ahead" after you say you're taking your business elsewhere, you know management has set the bar safely on the floor.The absolute highlight of the trip, though, was the passing stranger who decided to butt in with a comment about common sense. It is always a beautiful moment when a complete nobody opens his mouth just to prove he has absolutely nothing of value to add to the conversation.
The moral of this story is "Customers be kind to store employees and Store employees be kind to customers", you never know when someone is having a hard day. And any onlookers Mind your own business.
I had to stop by and get my van hooked up to the fix finder and Rodney Thomas found out it was the alternator! Great customer service! Highly recommend!! God Bless!!
Super nice person waited on me. I just needed wipers and a license plate holder. The older cashiers are the better ones. They aren't afraid you'll ask for assistance instead they'll ask you if you need any help with installation. The don't run and hide when they see someone approach the counter with products in hand.
I've recently had to buy multiple parts for both of my cars and my truck. Every time I go in TJ is more than willing to help me find parts and answer any questions that I have. The Owenton Kentucky location is the only one I will shop at because of his helpfulness.
went in for leather cleaner, owenton store so it isn't a big place. the staff at this particular store does not ask to help or even acknowledge ...If you forget to give rewards # they won't ask for it, you have to spend altogether in there to get a reward, every little bit is better than the zero
Jacob C. is always such a huge help on the phone and in the Owenton store. He listens to what you need and then sets out to find the best way to get it to you. He is always running around the store doing something and helping someone when I come in, really nice guy. Will continue doing business here
