We always make time for a visit when in Frankfort area. Wonderful staff, beautiful views and great wine we always come home with a few bottles of our favorites
Yesterday we visited Prodigy for the first time, despite driving past several times over the past few years. The first impression is the beautiful property and long winding drive up to the tasting room. The tasting room is surrounded by amazing views and indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived around sunset and did a tasting while chatting with another couple who come often. The bartender (Marka) was awesome and knew those customers names. Then we got a pleasant surprise when a 130lb snow yeti walked in (actually a Burmese named Harry) which we learned was a Peach family pet. Marka gave us a history of the family farm, told us about all of the wines and how Prodigy came to be 25 years ago. Then we asked about tours and Marka showed us around the building and where all the wine is made. We found it interesting that the Peach family is so hands on making the wine and running the tasting room themselves with only a handful of staff. We were even told about the quarterly Wine Club which is a really good deal and we’ll be coming back to sign up and explore more of this place, and hopefully get to meet the owners as they sound like great people who love their farm, their wine, and treat their employees incredibly well.
Found this winery on Google Maps and stopped by for a tasting. Beautiful area and beautiful winery!! Eric did a great job with our tasting. Very great attitude and enthusiasm!!
The 3 cats made us feel like we were at home having a glass of wine instead of being 4 hours away having a glass of wine!!!

We stopped in here after we did a tasting at Woodford Reserve. Neither of us are huge Bourbon drinkers, so we wanted to check out a winery in the area, and found Prodigy. The staff were very friendly and nice. Service was quick and easy. But honestly, the wines were terrible. We only tired the red wines, so I cannot speak about the white wines. We’re not ones to not finish a drink, but they were hard to get down. I dumped half of them. I would’ve given 1 star, gave two stars because I really like the staff.

Prodigy provided the perfect venue for our unforgettable wedding weekend. The team was wonderful to work with—attentive, accommodating, and always mindful of our budget. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right, even graciously handling several last-minute changes and requests.
The winery and vineyard themselves offered a beautiful, picturesque backdrop for our celebration. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner there on Friday evening and loved the live music and relaxed atmosphere. There was plenty of space for our out-of-town guests to gather, mingle, and enjoy each other’s company.
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting or a more thoughtful team. Highly recommend Prodigy Vineyards & Winery for any special event!
Really great wines and drinks but what stands out to me the most is the superior customer service. Eric and Marka are simply amazing. I thought that the business belonged to them. Always nice willing to help and smiling. I go quite often and must say I have never been disappointed. The owners of Prodigy u have very good representation of what you would be like. Excellent job. A must try
A true hidden gem! We took at day trip from 2 hours away. It was totally worth and we would do it again in a heartbeat! It’s one of those places that you want to tell everyone about, but also want to keep a secret so it doesn’t get overrun with people. It’s a quiet and quaint little restaurant and tasting room with genuine southern charm and hospitality and not an ounce of pretentiousness. The wine and food are affordable and delicious! Indoor and outdoor seating, vineyard grounds you are free to explore, and friendly farm and pet buddies that like to say hi and get some pets. There was also some live music when we were there by one of the best little bluegrass bands I’ve ever heard. We went in the afternoon for lunch and it was such a relaxing and delightful experience. We will be back!
Great wine! Good food. Good service, amazing ambiance. Had live Music, horses, dogs, cats. Allowed to pet animals, I did ask permission for horses. Great experience!
We stumbled upon this winery as part of our bourbon trail tour and we're so glad we stopped! Everyone was SO friendly, we could wonder the property, see the horses, pet the dogs & cats all while enjoying a nice glass of wine! Plus their prices are SO reasonable!
The Management and the amazing staff are the best in the business. Eric & Marka make everyone feel like family when they come into Prodigy. The other servers are incredible as well. Their wine & food is scrumptious. Any business with a proprieter name of Peach is always going to be a warm & inviting experience.

This winery is amazing! The property was absolutely beautiful and every drink I tasted was awesome. The best part was definitely all of the lovely animals! All of the staff were so kind and allowed me to visit all of their resident animals (Harry and the horses)! Will definitely be returning (:
The greatest opportunity for improvement. The male bartender was so lackadaisical I felt sorry for the female coworker worker working with him. She was the only person trying to get tastings and food out. Even still of the few tables here it still took literally 1h 30 min for a charcuterie board. Tasting flights were over an hour. This could be great with proper staff or leadership. Honorable mention Harry the Great Pyrenees did his best to placate everyone and checked in more often than the actual staff. He's the best.
I dont know what to say, nobody was here. One other table. It took 1hr 15min to get anything of the 3 things we ordered. The charcuterie board took 1hr 30min!!! Unbelievable. I have no idea what's going on. On top of that 80% of the wines were terrible. I can understand slow service if one is busy but this was insane.
We had a very wonderful experience at Prodigy vineyards and winery! Eric was very friendly and fun!! We appreciated the caring atmosphere and the website listing the dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines that are available.

This place is absolutely amazing. A must go if you are in the area. Lauren, the bartender was super knowledgeable in the wines and really helpful in selecting which wines to taste. I loved every wine I tried. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Lauren was so attentive and kind! The winery is beautiful and so peaceful. I am so glad I stopped by. They have some really great wines and the scenery and staff made it even better. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the area!
We had such a good time at Prodigy! We came in during a busy time and had a 30 minute wait on our wine flights. That gave us time to walk the farm and appreciate the beauty of it and the livestock. Harry, the dog, is a character and loved all of the attention we gave him. The wine is delicious and the price is great too. We will definitely be back on our trip. Eric, our bartender was great as well. If you like supporting local small businesses, this is definitely the place for you. It is handicap accessible. Children are allowed in the building. They do serve pizza, and have cute boutique items for sale.
Visiting from Atlanta! Such a great winery! Eric made our visit! Great customer service & I loved the wine! Live music on Fridays. Marka was very accommodating as well! If I’m ever in Kentucky again I’ll be back! ?
Great winery all around. Wines were good and well priced, and had something for every palate. Harry the dog and boots the cat kept us company while we did our wine tasting and enjoyed a charcuterie board. The staff was also very welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. I don’t normally buy wine to take home, but 4 bottles went home that day.
Dog friendly winery on a horse farm! Very very pretty! Their Cheese is wonderful & live music was great! They love pleasing out of state travelers! Wonderful prices too. Website doesn't show up to date food options- but the chef that was there was from New Orleans! Which is pretty cool!
We had the Best experience today at Prodigy vineyards. If you have children this is a must stop. My husband and I did the wine tasting while my children were occupied with the animals. They have a dog, cats, llamas, and horses. The vineyard is gorgeous. So peaceful and beautiful. The staff was amazing. They also have outdoor games that my children played. My children had so much fun and were occupied the whole time. They were out of their most popular wines when we came, however I highly recommend a visit!
We had such an enjoyable afternoon and evening at Prodigy Vineyards. The wine flowed, the conversations were fun, the scenery was beautiful - especially with the cats and dogs and geese. The staff were so accommodating and the wine was delicious!
I went to this winery yesterday! It was wonderful! 6 wine tastings in a vial though you drink them in a glass ! Beautiful land with horses & dogs around ! Lovely ponds ! Love this winery !
We enjoy the ambiance of prodigy winery. The selection of wine is wonderful and the service is always excellent. My favorite wine is the Black Dog Blues. It's very sweet.
Prodigy offers a wine flight for $8 and you receive a complimentary free wine glass to keep as a souvenir. They have a wine club for additional discounts and festivities. Their charcuterie board was also excellent. Their gift shop also has many wonderful trinkets and gifts. We will definitely be back!
Omg! What an amazing spot to stumble upon! It was my sisters 30th bday and wed just come from touring some distilleries and wanted a little change. This property is so beautiful! You’ll see all sorts of wildlife/farm animals leading up to the winery.. horses, cows, cute cats, pups and of course.. tasting some delicious wine! Tastings were only $8 so just coming back from California where tastings were by reservation only at $30 a pop.. this was refreshing! They have a ton of choices and they were all delicious! We left with a few bottles and an amazing experience! Marka was our taster and she was wonderful!
