Hands down the best shop I've ever been to! I'm someone who has trust issues with car shops, and I felt completely secure with these guys. Communication was a 10/10, very professional while also not feeling too distant and "corporate". The systems laid out for car pick up, payment, etc. are so ahead of the game and put them at #1 for me. The waiting room smelled so good too!
Brought my car in and they were very helpful and knowledgeable, and they diagnosed my car for free! They explained everything to me and were very helpful and didn’t try to scam me like some other auto places! 12/10 would recommend.
I found out it wasn’t my timing belt my oil was critically low from leaks that made my sensor say it was my timing belt but I wasn’t told my oil was low so this is why I don’t want to rate you guys at all I’m not trying to harm anyone s business as a female and senior I believe in truth kindness and not treating peoples with lies just to get money and my mounts are not right for the ones who listen to Auto excel if advise to seek a mechanic who tells you the Truth then go from there
I really appreciate the professional and quality of the work each time I visit. Having the codes saved for repairs makes coming back for any work that doesn't immediately fit my budget or schedule a breeze to select when scheduling a return appointment!
I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a water pump leak and the concern was immediately addressed. They sent photos and videos explaining where the issue originated and its implications.
They also advised me of other potentially harmful issues if left unattended that they noticed. Cole called me and talked to me about everything they were seeing. They sent videos explaining every potential problem they saw, and gave me professional advice. The estimate approval process was all online and I could very simply check "approve" or "decline" for any repair I didn't want to go through with (I approved all of it).
These guys are true professionals and I wasn't left in the dark at any point throughout the repair process. I would recommend this shop to anyone willing to pay just a tad more for excellent customer service and quality of work. They will receive my business again in the future.
The shop is a little tucked in hidden, but if they wasn’t they would always be book id say! The communication and pictures and even video that was sent showing and explaining the issues with my vehicle had me stunned. You have won over a new customer and someone that is going to recommend you to everyone!

Great experience when I took my truck in. They did a full inspection to make sure what i thought was the issue was the only issue. Turned out that it was a much bigger issue. They sent me messages keeping me updated on the progress. They even got me a ride to the shop to get my truck back. May have found a new mechanic. I worker with Cole through the whole process which he was super sweet but everyone I talked to was very nice.
This place sucks. I came for an oil change and an inspection and had to wait for 2 hours. After that they told me they were going to pull my car around. The inspection alone was almost 200$. I waited for about 20 minutes, still no car. I went back inside and they told me all of a sudden my car won’t start. I have never had any issues with it starting. I wouldn’t recommend ever. You’ll end up in worst shape then you came in.
Fav auto place always gives me a ride to chill at home while they handle the repair. Even offer rentals when the car is in the shop; extended stay style. Customer service is preem, always makes a detailed list of what I need and let's me pick what I want done. Never ever does work I didn't ask for and then charges like Ken towery's or Big O. Never a surprise charge.
Avoid this place like the plague. I took my car to get the brakes done and they checked it over for other problems. My issue isn't with what they found. My issue is with what they are charging people. To do all of the work they wanted would have cost me over $4.5k with tax. I did it all for less than $600. With some basic tools, YouTube and borrowing tools from autozone.
The photos are the print outs they gave me and an overestimate of what it cost me.
Even if you have a go-to service shop in Lexington, I highly recommend giving Auto Excel a try. Their team is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable—where other shops fell short, Auto Excel delivered.
While the diagnosis of issues with my vehicle wasn’t what I was hoping, they went above and beyond by working with my warranty company to cover as much of the repairs as possible. For anything not covered, they provided clear, fair pricing and handled the work with superior craftmanship.
Their communication and customer service are outstanding. Cole and Wesley did a fantastic job of updating progress, and any issues along the way. They have a comfortable lounge, and their complimentary Lyft service during drop-off/pickup makes it easy to get to/from home or work while they care for your car.

Listen.. a lot of us have been a victim of messy mechanics and auto repair shops that have caused more damage instead of fixing what was asked.
Took my car to Auto Excel after reading the reviews. They told me they would take a look and perform a thorough inspection on my car.. sure, why not. I was brought up to take care of your vehicle and keep it maintained.
They called and emailed the minor nonemergency repairs at which you have the option to approve or decline your repairs. Since they had my car already, I approved everything. Got my car back running smoothly.. A few days later, they called and said, there was a couple small things that we didn’t need for your car and we need to give you a refund..ummm, who does that...

Best inspection of my vehicle I’ve ever had. The work they did on my engine was quality, reasonable, and came warrantied by them. They even checked in weeks later to make sure everything was still running smoothly.

We've always been highly satisfied with Auto Excel. The customer service representatives are top-notch! We feel like their prices are reasonable, and they can be trusted with recommendations -- making sure our cars are safe but not offering extraneous, unnecessary repair suggestions. On our most recent visit, we approved $1,200 in repairs based on their initial assessment of our car's issues. When they actually started the repairs, they realized that the problems weren't as bad as they originally thought, and the work ended up only being $650. I thought that showed integrity on their part, and we'll continue bringing our cars here in the future!
This has to be the absolute best place to go in Lexington for general or foreign car repairs. Was definitely a hidden gem when I needed repairs done for my child’s mini cooper. I’ve always been blown away by their professionalism and customer service. The mechanics are highly skilled, meticulous, and proficient. The service estimates they send via email with pictures and thorough descriptions of their findings has to be my most favorite feature they offer. Highly recommended

Transportation provided when I have needed to drop off the car for work. Everyone is always extremely nice and very helpful.
