Why is it every time I need a part it’s always at a different location. It’s like they only keep one any given part for a vehicle on hand, then scatter that vehicle’s parts at all the stores in Lexington.

Seems to be a problem with their computers being linked or just dont have the technology to keep up with items and their customers. Completely pointless to buy anything from these bozos. Their receipts fade out in less than a year and they require the receipt to honor any of their life time products. Not to mention I've yet to have a single member from management be of any help. They always have some bs story why they cant help or the customer is wrong. Their prices are high and yea they price match but why do I have to find an item for a lower price to get them to have a low price. Just do your self a favor and go to another parts store. Theres always at least 2 others in any town. If not make sure to check around for lower prices and take a picture of your receipt

I live nearby and have come to this place twice for car issues. The staff here are amazing! Both times the staff member came out of the store to help me check the car, identify the issue, and pick the right product. For one time, I caused small scratches which show the underneath metal, so I went to look for paint pan and scratch repair kit. After I described the problem, an old gentleman came out to see the scratches (while one of his arms was broken). He used his fingers to rub the scratches hard and then they started to fall off! The black thing was actually the remaining material of what I hit rather than the underneath metal. He said what I actually needed was heavy duty rubbing product. He helped get one and it worked! He also reminded me to wash off the residual product after removing the scratches. Such a great place! It’s not just about saving money; it’s about solving your problems!

Such a good experience! Had a little trouble with the dealership and had already visited one store that didn't carry our battery. These guys got us taken care of quickly and professionally. Awesome customer service! Both Alex and the gentleman with the spider web tattoo (sorry I didn't get your name!) were so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

I had to get a headlight lightbulb for my car. On my first visit, the sales lady helped me pick out exactly what I needed and explained my options to me. I had to return to the store because I couldn't get the lightbulb installed myself. The 2nd sales lady came outside to my car to help me. She discovered the prongs must be broke on the inside of car that wouldn't allow it to fit. She referred me to a shop that helped me same day. I was in a real bind since I really needed to drive that night. I'm thankful for all the knowledge, kindness and professionalism from these ladies.

Great service from Brianna, Jerry & Danielle at the store in Lexington, KY off of Richmond Road. I highly recommend them and appreciate their team work to get us what we needed!

I (33F) went in to have them read an error code for me on my car. Justin was great at explaining what the code meant and said I could either do it myself, or that a mechanic could do it pretty quickly. I went to Goodyear on Richmond Rd, who quoted me over $1,100 to fix the issue. When I came back to Advance and showed them the quote, they helped me look up the right parts and sold me the coil and 2 spark plugs. Jacob was extremely helpful in explaining everything and really took excellent care of me. I paid less than $80 for the parts and didn’t have to go back to Goodyear to get my car fixed. So grateful that these guys were so knowledgeable and able to help me out. I absolutely do not have $1,100+ to waste on a car repair, and thanks to them, I’m actually excited about being able to do this type of thing again in the future for tune-ups.

I could not be happier with my experience. It was the second auto store I'd gone too. With the first one not wanting to help and treating me less than. The gentleman at advanced helped me, was kind and was willing to go above and beyond. I wasn't treated poorly for my lack of knowledge with cars. He came out to my car to help without hesitation .I will now always go to this location for anything I need for my vehicles.

Save your time and headache and go elsewhere. They can’t figure out how to honor the simple oil change bundle deal they advertise all over the world. “The computer won’t let them honor the advertisements all over the store,” And apparently the employees can’t either. Every auto parts store offers a bundle deal. Pretty simple stuff. Spent 45 minutes in the store getting oil.

I couldn't find a place to send a review on the corporate page, so I'm just going to post this here -- Steve at the Richmond road location went above and beyond today to help me out. I've always had great experiences at this particular store, but today he was an absolute rockstar. He's very professional, fast and has an excellent attitude. I hope this makes it up the chain somehow to somebody who can give the guy a raise. Thank you, Steve!

Huge shout out to your worker, Dave. I was going to buy a pricey part, but Dave suggested I just change my bulb. I tried it and it worked!! It saved me a lot of time. I thank Dave so much and I’ll definitely be coming to this location from now on!

Avoid this location. If you want to be harassed for paying in cash this is your place. An employ named Jacob wants to harass my Dad for paying with a hundred dollar bill. He said they didn’t have change for it so he payed with almost the exact amount then goes on to ask to see the bill for no reason. He threatened to call the cops on my Dad for not showing the bill and said he’s no longer welcome there. My Dad showed the bill and he went on to tell him that he’s not to ever come back. I don’t what kind of place this is that bans customers for paying in cash and harasses their customers for paying in cash. Something needs to be done about this and word of mouth is going to be heard about this place. Corporate will be called about this situation and this is absolutely ridiculous that customers are treated with such disrespect.

I'll start with this is my #1 go to auto parts store here in Lexington. John the manager helped me to the fullest he could with a break part issue with my Honda Civic. To be quite honest I"d love to work for the man but as my circumstances are I am not able to. A happy customer returning again when parts are needed !!

I went in the store tonight red hot about an experience at another auto parts store, and these guys were great. I was met with patience and professionalism, even though I had an odd issue that took a while to get worked out in the system. I said it a million times on my way out, but thanks again for your help tonight, Advance. I really appreciate it.

Worst employees, don’t follow company policy! On 8/25/21 around 6 pm i called before heading to the store to confirm that I could do a alternator - rmfd core charge refund in their store because they were out of stock and I purchased it at another location. The person on the phone said “YES” but when I got there, there were a female and male employee there telling that they could not do it and said that they were the only one there and no one had called! Told me to go back to original store of purchase because they have a different system. I left super mad! Went to original store and was told that I the Richmond rd store could have done it, it’s jut that they didn’t want to because of the extra steps they have to do because it’s from a different store. Advanced auto parts Richmond rd zip 40509 is a bad bad store I wonder if the store manager is aware of this kind of situation when their employees don’t want to follow store policy. Last time shopping at this awful location.

The starter they sold me was defective. It would turn, but the mechanism that engages the flywheel did not work. I tried to return it to a different Advanced Auto and was first accused of trying to return the starter that I removed from the truck, and was then told I needed to take it back to the store I purchased it from. The salesgirl was very rude and really seemed as though she was being ‘put out’ to have to take care of a customer. I’ve yet to return the item, and may just write off the cost as a learning experience to never shop at Advanced Auto again. There are a lot of auto parts places out there, and if that the way I’m going to be treated, I’ll choose one other than Advanced Auto. Strike two. Returned to store that I originally purchased it from and now they can’t return it because they need to ‘test’ it first. What a load of BS. At the point I’m not returning to a store. If they want me back as a customer they will need to pick the item up and issue the return.

Came to return an item. Linda was rude. Didn’t feel welcomed. She was yelling across the store to another customer and trying to speak to me. I could barely understand her. I couldn’t even return the item to this store. I was previously told I could return the item to any store. It’s always a Linda.

Sometimes have knowledgeable staff but urgency of service is sometimes lacking. Also, tremendous turnover of staff so it's sometimes a crapshoot on kind of help you get. I have started ordering online and just pick up at this store now. (You always get discounts by doing this!!)

I bought a fuse and could not remember how to open the fuse box under the hood, I asked the girl at the register if someone could show me how to open it and I would put the fuse in and she was hateful and told me that they weren't allowed to do that, I have been going to AutoZone ever since

Had a couple clearance shelves which I love. Service was very polite and friendly. Someone arrived after the door was locked but they unlocked the door and and made sure that the lady had the battery she desperately needed.

Better than okay this review is more so for the website and store not correlating or being synonymous. On line they stated they had a item I needed in stock but when arrived the guys chocked around and sadly no luck that's not necessarily the Advance's fault they did direct me to the one off Richmond rd so no worries I'd honestly rate like 3.8

Bought a part online but when I got there Anna was very rude and very lazy and refused to even try to look for my part so I had to cancel my order and go to AutoZone so save your time and go to AutoZone trust me Anna is the rudest person I've ever seen who works at a auto parts store

I was on my way to work & suddenly my "check gauges" light came on & when i checked, my battery gauge was on 0. I pulled in & went inside where a very helpful & knowledgeable employee simply asked the make & model of my ride, then immediately made me aware of a recall on the dash sensor & assured me my alternator was charging fine, as was my battery. I left feeling relieved and it took less than 5 minutes & cost nothing. More places need employees like the 1 i met here.
