Recently had my sons vehicle brought to their lot and towed home. The young lady in the office went over and beyond helping me with everything and was so kind! The tow truck driver went out of his way and shoveled snow from my sons driveway to ensure delivery safely. They are all so kind and helpful and I will support their business and let everyone know to contact them over other companies! Thank you again for all your help!
Called McCarty’s early to have my auto towed to the dealership and the response time was within an hour. They did great and the cost was reasonable. I recommend them!
Brought my vehicle in first thing in the morning to have the ignition coil replaced and they had it fixed before lunchtime! The price was better than other shops in Owensboro and everyone I encountered while there were all very polite and professional! Will bring my vehicles back and recommend to friends and family!
They usually do good work,but the last time I dealt with them, I called ahead and scheduled my car to get brakes changed and dropped it off on the scheduled day, at the end of the day they told me they were unable to get to it and would need to keep it another day. What is the point of scheduling work if you can't even get to it that day. I ended up taking it somewhere else and they got the job done that day.
Christopher helped me out in a bind to tow my Tesla to the supercharger in Beaver Dam. Very pleasant and professional! He’s a verified Tesla tower too so I knew he would know what he’s doing.
We had a tire blow out on the interstate. The tow truck driver was friendly and professional while putting on the spare. He followed us to the exit where we purchased new tires. I felt safe driving on the spare with him following us.
Repair was great, unfortunately I did have a AAA card and asked about their 10% discount for the repair. I was told that the cashier had run my card already, they would catch me next with the discount. It would have been a $100 discount.

My suv broke down on the Audubon Parkway the other day. I called McCarty's. They said it would be about 30-40 minutes for the driver to get there. My driver's name is Chris Busch and he was in constant contact with me about his and my location. He was prompt, respectful and very helpful in loading my suv. We dropped it off and he even drove me to my place. I would recommend you all to anyone that is need of a tow or hauling. Thank you.
Had service August 2nd, 2025. I don’t remember the guys name that helped me but he was very generous. It was my first time have a vehicle towed so the experience was great.
This garage is the best. They sure took care of me. My old truck is running super now. And they towed it too and the tow truck showed up real quick and the guy was real nice. And they weren’t outrageously pricey
McCarty’s does a great job and their pricing is very reasonable. Call and ask for Anita, she is very nice and will quickly schedule your service. I highly recommend them as the best repair shop!
I spent over $1200 to fix a loss of power and misfire. McCarty's told me a muffler system would fix the issue. They said that the muffler system was causing this issue. When I picked my car up the first time it did have more power, but the car misfired driving home the very same day they said it was fixed. I brought my vehicle back to McCarty's. After 3 weeks of them looking at it, they told me they didn't know what was wrong with it, I picked it up, still having the misfire issue.
I took it to another mechanic, and come to find out it was leaking oil onto the spark plugs through a crack in the gasket. The mechanic said that it was even flammable. My car was at McCarty's for 3 weeks and they didn't find this issue.
When I brought it to the other mechanic, they said that the exhaust system was even instilled incorrectly, and that it was leaking exhaust. That should not have happened considering it was a brand new muffler system.
I plan to never bring my car to McCarty's again.
My Ford has been to other repair shops in Owensboro but since I’ve tried out McCartys a couple of times I highly recommend McCartys. You know the feeling of dread when it’s time to repair something, how much will it cost, if I try a new place will they fix it right the first time, but most of all, trust that you won’t pay more than you should. McCartys team has the expertise to fix it right the first time, not looking for profit but instead showing you they can be trusted. I thought I would get the oil change while in repair but instead of doing that and charging me more money, I was assured my oil and filter are still clean so they suggested to wait on that service. I trust McCartys 100%. Also, they don’t have the overhead cost of a fancy repair shop so that’s probably why the repairs are not as costly! Just try them for once or twice and you will come to same conclusion!
Our vehicle broke down just as we were coming off the bridge into Owensboro. We were able to pull into a parking lot and then it died completely. We called our roadside assistance service and sat there for about 2 1/2 hours. So I called them back and said we would get some local company to get our car. Thankfully we called McCarty’s !!! Our driver came and picked us and our car up, took us to the Holiday Inn, waited to make sure we were able to get a room, and was so kind and helpful!! This was on a Sunday night They got us fixed and back on the road Monday morning.

I had my car towed to their garage. When I came to pick it up my brand new car there were 2 dents in my driver side panel. Black tie rubber all over the side. The owner did not offer to fix or help at all. PLEASE DONT GO HERE. I don't want to give them 1 star but I have to to be able to post this.
Literally myself just washed one of our tow truck drivers push somebody almost off the road because he was being impatient and demanded that the person that was passing me past me faster and get out of his way I will never call this company for anything you my sir are a complete jerk. Changing lanes in an intersection absolutely no consideration for anybody else but yourself. I don’t know how you’re still in business. The speed limit is 60. I’m doing 67. You have passed me and disappeared in the distance. You’re going way too fast.
Needed a truck towed from alley this morning. Called McCartys last Friday so they could check clearance in alley and make a plan. Well they did that and quoted me a price of 75.00. Great they showed up this morning pushed truck down alley to street. Went to pay and quote changed to 125.00. Needless to say I’m not happy. The guys they sent did a great job.But management could use some morals.
Today, I had the pleasure of meeting two gentlemen one for a battery jump and the other for a tow to Henderson.
I had my daughter with me and both men made us feel comfortable and they were professional.
They truly restored my faith in genuine people. Thank you to the owner for have the keen sense to hire them.
