I was told to go here becouse they gave top dollar on scrap around Columbia area,i had 129lbs of number 1 copper,90lbs of red brass from sprinkler heads,156lbs of aluminum wire,and a catalytic converter off a dodge ram 2500,,I left with 680.00 bucks,,but i was new to scrapping at the time so I wasn't sure bout pricing and weight and number 1 copper or the catelytic converter off my dodge 2500 was even worth, needless to say 680.00 bucks wasent even close to what I should had gotten at least triple that number another scrap yard told me,he said the converter alone was bout 3000-3500 bucks! Only reason I gave 2 stars is the guy rammed me with a smile.
I bought a old school desk imma clean it up and use it also traded some scrap had 600lbs and came out with $32 and some change so could be better but you won't see me complain.
Its really nice when you load up scrap metal show up before noon an your web site says you close at 5 an no one is around...if your not going to be open on Saturday you should change your web site....
Always friendly faces.. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because when I took aluminum siding I thought it was the same for the can prices, but it wasnt. I called before I came and asked the price for aluminum and got paid 30 cents a pound, which at that time, cans was 45 cents a pound. Then I brought cans as well and I was told the baskets weighed 6 lbs a piece a didn't know it was added in until he told me they had to deduct 24 lbs for 4 baskets. But the was fine, I will continue to go back, Nice people.
