At the end of march my car broke down. My then boyfriend and I took it to Auggies to see what was up with it. Come to find out the engine is no good. We agree to replace it along with a few other things. When getting my car back (3 weeks later) it still drove funky. Lately it was getting worse despite staying on top of maintenance. Come to find out, when the new motor was being put back in and the rest of the car being put back they did not put one of the transmission mount bolts back in and now it is causing some pretty serious issues.
Small issues they aren’t a bad option, big repairs and rebuilds I would not, especially for $90+ an hour for labor…
These Guys Truly Know there Engine's! Repaired my Motorhome within an hour and had it back up and running! Even noticed that my cruise control cable was un-hooked and gave me Cruise control again! Awesome Job Guys!!!!
I called for a mechanic and a possible tow. I broke down at the fuel pumps. When I looked them up, they were only 4 miles from me. I was told someone was on their way. 2 hours later, I was told he was coming. 2 hours after that, I was told he would be there any minute. Finally I had to find someone else. 😡 No regard for my situation.
Absolutely stellar service from Matthew. Caught a flat on the interstate, he towed me to his shop and had me back on the road in no time. He was also very accommodating to my cat!! Highly recommend.

My truck broke down on the way to Denver. Thankfully I was able to make it to this truck stop in Hays, KS. I went inside to ask cashier if she had any numbers for local mobile semi truck mechanics. At that moment, a customer checking out, Matthew, said he works for a semi truck mechanic, said he was there fueling up for a call he was on but said he would call another mechanic to see if he's available.
So Matthew called Dayne, from same company. Dayne said he was just 1 mile away. Perfect!
He showed up, found problem, fixed problem, I was back on the road within 2 hours. 😁😁😁

Can’t say enough good things about Augies. We were on our way home from our vacation in Colorado and the car broke down east of Hays. Bad water pump. Called Augies and they came and got us and towed the car to their shop after dropping us off at the Hotel. Super nice and helpful, even said they would fix the car. Got a call the next morning from the mechanic and gave me a quote, which was amazing, then by 11am called me back and it was fixed. New water pump, coolant, and new thermostat and housing. These guys were a life saver. Can’t thank them enough. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Car ran great on our 6hr drive home. Thank you all that helped. Our tire flew off on the highway while we were road tripping. Matthew and his team were amazing and super helpful with getting us everything we needed to get back on the road that same day. By far the best mechanics we’ve come across. Highly recommended :)

The Craig Curse of the Chevy Colorado strikes again!! 🤯. This time 0.1 miles from our hotel in Hays. Truck broke down 6 hours from home while on a 9 day road trip with my dad, my dog and my 17 year old cat. Augie's Repair & Towing to the rescue. Matthew is AMAZING!! I was back on the road in less than 24 hours.
My car is lowered so Kyle had to really use some finesse to get the job done. He got it towed without any damage. He’s a hard worker and a great guy. Thank you so much !🙏🏽
Having tire issues and not being from the Hays area, a Google search led us to Augie’s and I’m SO glad it did. They took care of my SIL’s tire in a timely manner so she could get back on the road quickly, were so accommodating with her schedule, and went far above and beyond to fix her tire and save her the most money possible. The guys at this shop are honest and easy to work with. When another local shop left me on the side of the road for 4 hours these guys quickly picked up my Freightliner bus and towed me to their shop. They did everything in their power to help get me on the road before the holiday weekend, I would come back in a heartbeat.

Don’t use this towing company unless you want to be left stranded on the side of the road and left hanging for hours. Our vehicle broke down about 30 miles outside of Hays, KS where this company is at. We called at 1 pm, and the guy said he was headed our way. 3 hours later and still nobody showed up. We tried calling back numerous times and there was no answer. It went to his voicemail a number of times, which was full, so we couldn’t leave a message. Disappointing of a towing company to say the least. Would definitely recommend Ellsworth Service Center Towing & Recovery instead. They picked us up within 20 minutes of us contacting them.
Not sure why my dads name came up but my husband and I - Wendi and James Cox - was broke down in Ellis, KS on a Sunday. What we quickly learned is that nothing is open on Sundays in a small town. However, we could get a tow. I apologize that I can’t remember his name but the tow truck driver was amazing, He did a perfect job towing our truck and trailer. He was not only good at what he does, he was kind and helpful. Kudos to you Sir. Thank you!
Unfortunately the repair that was supposed to happen on Monday didn’t as no mechanic was on shift even though we were told otherwise. Our truck got repaired elsewhere and we are able to get back on the road.
We broke down while on vacation and needed a tow to a Jeep dealership. The guy that helped us out was down to earth and very professional. He got us where we needed to be and had a good conversation about the current state of the world. Hopefully we never break down in Kansas again but this is the place to call if you need a wrecker.

Locked my keys in the trunk of my car after a ball game and couldn’t get my insurance to get me through to anyone. Did a google search saw they’re rated the best in this county and now I know why. I called and within 15-20 minutes Bill showed up and got me in my car. Very professional personable experience.
A HUGE shout out to Cole and his team! Long story short, our daughter's Subaru blew an engine in the middle of nowhere and they were able to help us get the vehicle towed to their facility where it stayed until they could order in and install a new engine. Everyone was courteous, responsive, helpful and committed to getting our daughter's vehicle fixed properly and back on the road. They are fantastic. They rescued us on the side of the highway when our boat trailer burned up it's bearings. Very professional and extremely courteous!! Got us taken care of and everyone we dealt with there were very nice!! Would recommend them to all!!
Broke down about 10 miles outside of Hays, KS. Called Scott to get a tow. He was there within 20 minutes of my call. We pulled into the shop around 445P. Scott was able to quickly determine what part I needed and ordered it right away before closing for the day. The part was there by 8A the next morning and Scott had me back on the road by 9A. They even let me use a loaner car to get a hotel for the night. The prices were fair, the service was excellent and the professionalism was top notch. I would definitely recommend this business to other travelers and locals.
Highly recommend this fast and friendly service! Immediate tow, part arrived quickly and the labor was instantaneous. The entire experience, from the call for the tow to leaving the shop, was complete in less than 3 hours. Everyone that I interfaced with was very personable and courteous.
Our truck broke down on the side of the road. They were there in a flash to pick us up. William, the guy who towed us, was really sweet. We got in not knowing how long we were going to have to spend...how MUCH we were going to have to spend. Luckily, we were in and out quickly. Everyone on staff was kind and fun to talk to. They were reasonable on price and honest about what we needed and didn't need.
My alternator died, and took my battery with it, on a Sunday afternoon when I was supposed to be picking my husband up from DIA. They came and towed me to their shop, then fixed my truck so I could be on my way, all for a reasonable price. I could not believe my luck that it was fixed within hours on a Sunday. What a fantastic shop. Thanks so much.
So helpful!! AAA told me it could be over an hour until someone arrived and he was there in less than half an hour. We are from NY and have never even been in Kansas before. We were brought to a trustworthy repair shop and he even drove us to a nearby hotel after the shop. Cant thank you enough!
