About a year ago I Took my Suburban to have the AC repaired, picked it up guy said that it needed Freon. AC worked for about a week and quit again, took it back, guy said it needed Freon, I reminded him that’s what he said last time and he said “oh I also added dye and didn’t see any leaks so I added more Freon”. AC worked on the way to a Dr. Apt then stopped working on the way home. Took the car to Browns Chevy they ran dye and found leaks in the lines. DO NOT GO HERE. Wasted my time and money. ??
Mike was very professional and helpful. He gave me the cheapest price around to get my rotors and brake pads replaced--all with quality service. I trust him more than any auto dealership, in terms of identifying what issues need addressed on my car, and I know he'll charge a fair price. I find him very trustworthy, and will be coming back in the future!
Mike was prompt and professional. I needed tires mounted and balanced ASAP, and he took great care of my truck. Good communication and great pricing. Will definitely return!
I was traveling on 1-70 when all of a suddenly, lots of dashboard warning lights and tones went off plus I lost use of the speedometer.
Fortunately, I could see the Wamego exit sign so obviously I got off the highway.
Pulled over, got my phone out and found 4th Street Auto. I called frantically trying to explain what had just happened. I was blessed to have the calming and kind voice of Mike on the other end. He offered a couple of different ideas on what he thought the problem was.... this was offered to me for free.
I asked if I came into his shop could he take a look at the car, sure he replied.
I arrived and instantly I was Mike's number one priority. He came out to the car with his diagnostic meter kit and discovered it was the battery. Which by the way, was his reply when he offered me his free advice. Apparently it was a bad solenoid that was sending too many amps thru.
Mike took care of it abd made certain all warning lights were gone off the dashboard. He also asked if I had any other questions or concerns. From the time I frantically called to me pulling out of his shop with everything working correctly was less than an hour.
I was treated with pure respect and Mike was very polite and incredibly professional.
I live over 100 miles from Wamego, but any of you near there are very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable, kind, caring and HONEST person as Mike at 4th Street Auto. Nobody likes car problems, but going to see Mike is the answer.
To me...... Mike is excellence in action!!!!
Went to get my car worked on that is higher mileage, and I specifically told Mike what I thought the problem was with the misfire. He replaced a coil, which is fine, but didn't even replace the spark plugs like what I suggested. He cleaned the MAF and throttle body which I made no mention of doing and this really irritated me Moreover, it cost me $412.15, and I am in grad school.
Outstanding work! We took our van to Brian for multiple issues. He gave us an estimate and was able to get parts and fix it all the next day! Plus, he was able to do save time on the labor since he had it torn apart for multiple issues so he passed the savings on to us!! It's great to see that kind of integrity! We'll be going back to Brian next time we need any auto work! (Hopefully, it's not too soon!)
