What clients say about Allmetal Recycling-Newton in Newton (KS)

One of the employees in his COMPANY truck attempted to run me off the road 4/28 at 5:15 pm on highway 50. I am now investing in a dashcam and will file a police report if this happens again. Be careful who you employ, this is a bad look.

This place is great! I was surprised at how clean the whole place was, although it's much smaller than the All Metals off of 21st St in Wichita and the crew is smaller, it's my preferred location. Ironically, it has almost become a work of art. It is interesting to see the upcycled metal used as art to give this place an American Pickers vibe. The manager definitely runs a tight ship but Chad and his junk yard dog just add to the character of this place.

I just wanted to say that today was my 2nd visit to the Newton facility. Both times the service was outstanding and professional. Took the time to explain the processes and even walked me through it without making me feel inept. They even gave me time to get a view of all the wonderful and original art pieces. I look forward to visiting again to see anything I may have missed. Thank you Newton for a really easy and stress-free visit.

Be careful, prices are not competitive because there's no competition. Was insulted by the guy helping me unload, told me if i dont like the prices i can go somewhere else. Had an ac unit and a blower motor they only wanted to pay tin prices on when its full of copper. Manager then belittled me and tried to say my business has a bad reputation when I disagreed on the prices they pay. Got $1.62 for an AC unit and blower motor. I realize I can break them down, but it certainly is not tin price. $1.62 is ridiculous. Insulting me and saying my business has a bad reputation is ridiculous. I will be contacting someone about this

I took a burned to the ground pick up in and got $400 for it. It was easy business. That truck was nothing but a shell and I was surprised. No hassle.

I am positive that the Newton location ripped us off, We had hundreds of pounds of pop cans because we weighed the truck before we ever got there and we got less than $10. We had already ripped open. The bags dumped them. They'd been crushed and smack thrown into their trailer or I would have taken them back and gone somewhere else. Never again! On top of that, the employees were extremely rude!

I WOULD NOT go here. On the phone they are rude and in person they are rude. Took a load there on my trailer and the guy operating the claws to pick the metal off the trailer didn’t have a care in the world for the trailer. We stopped him before he finished and hand unloaded it. He was dragging and dropping the several hundred pound claws on the trailer without a care. Before we stopped him he had dented up the fender and severely gouged and scuffed up the deck. I got the feeling the place was run by crooks. Told us one price on the phone and we got there and it changed. Would avoid this place at all costs.

I have been going to this yard for years first off the crane operator is the best I have ever seen second the young man running the scale is one of the nicest hard working guys I have ever met and then there is Chad the man who runs the show always pays the best price around always very eager to help with any questions especially on the phone well kinda highly recommend best yard around oh and the crane operator can make some killer breakfast although I haven’t been invited for breakfast but I am sure I will be some day

They might run a Clean lot, but EVERY employee is just flat out rude. It’s an unpleasant experience every time we come. We’ve decided to start taking all of our hvac scrap to Wichita (where they pay better prices anyway.) Ive personally tried to apologize twice to the manager(Chad) in an effort to smooth any beef over but that was pointless. This all started over a dispute on what was number one and number two copper. I felt that he and his employees were trying to take advantage of MY young employee by labeling lightly tarnished copper (no paint, solder, insulation, or any other contaminants, just lightly tarnished copper) as number two copper. He said that only bright brand new copper qualified as number one. Maybe I was wrong, and in the end In the end, the price difference between the two was negligible and I felt dumb for bringing it up, BUT the staff here (Chad and the guy who runs the scale who looks like Stiffler) still CLEARLY has a big problem with me and my employees (6 months later). It is true though, you’ve gotta watch these guys. They’ll try to con you any chance they can. Anyway, I’m the first to admit when I’m wrong and again, I apologized twice, but their behavior is still continuously unprofessional discourteous and rude especially in such a small town where I literally see these guys at the grocery store and around town. I know the loss of my business, by no means will harm them. But hopefully somebody on their management team will care

I have never been to a salvage yard. This was an easy experience. My Dad's van was from 1996 with over 400,000 miles and we were expecting $65 or $100 according to online estimates. We were surprised at $225. Drove on the scale and got a check. Thanks.

it used to be a good place, unfortunately this crew struggles with engaging their brain and using words. I eventually went to the wichita location which never disappoints.

Today was the first time I utilized this business. I didn't have a lot of metal, just a bookcase and some household odds and ends. Chad was real friendly, took all the metal out of my backseat, weighed it, and I was in, out and done - in less than 5 minutes total. Can't beat that! I'm glad we have a local metal recycling center, and I'll definitely return.

This is a great place to go. They pay a little less than they do in Wichita, but its local. I've taken cars, cans, copper, aluminum, and they have always done me right. Beats driving to Wichita.

Took 500 pounds of metal and he paid 3.7ceents a pound. Drive to Wichita to get paid. BIGGEST RIP OFF PLACE AROUND. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN OR RECOMEND ANY ONE TO GO THEREa.

Unbelievably rude. $7.20 for 320 lbs of metal, including refrigerator. Ripoff. Got yelled at for parking on scale. You would think that you were supposed to stay there till weight in is done. Does $7.20 make sense for 320 lbs of metal?

I will throw my metal in the trash before I go back to these guys. After they took all my cans they said the the would give me 1/3 less than the posted rate. My opinion is they are cheaters! In addition very poor customer service and they damaged my trailer unloading it.
