Super flexible to work with and the price is very good. Jim delivered 10 tons with challenging trees and a narrow space to work with. He had a fantastic attitude and did the absolute best he could with the monster truck. I highly recommend their services.
A great place to get rock. Theybring it in from all over the country. The office staff was great. The guys that loaded us were great, they knew how to position the scoop so it would fall into the bed of the truck instead of the top rails of the bed. The prices seem pretty responsible.
I had three large raised beds, which are all three exactly the same size. Started with one scoop of “raised bed soil “which completely filled one bed to the top. Went back for two more scoops, and instead of the guy loading it a lady loaded it, and my other two beds are only filled 3/4 of the way which means that she obviously did not fill the scoops all the way to the top and I was shorted. It was tarped all the way home, so I know it did not blow out.
I was very impressed with our delivery guy (I’m sorry idk the pc term) but he was very friendly as well as the people I talked to on the phone. I got my sand very quickly all three times I had to order it. I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt this business definitely deserved my 5 stars
All my experiences have been great. I’ve ordered multiple times for large rock jobs and the experience has been easy every time. The drivers are amazing and very accommodating and kind! Thank you from this hobby landscaper!
I called Bones Rock Yard this morning and before noon our rock was delivered. Service was excellent-friendly and courteous. Good people to work with! Thanks so much!
If you’re a vendor I would suggest getting paid upfront.
We used to own and manage a motel that did business with the Bones company and Bones Rock Yard and we actually bought rock from Bones Rock Yard as well.
Both companies are owned by the same family. The bones company would have drivers stay at our property from time to time, it took more than two years to get paid on some invoices, I called and left a dozen messages from November 2021 to august 2022. I personally left messages for Sarah to call me back and nobody ever did.
(I know they have my cell phone number because she called me to give me an earful after reading this review. It’s funny she was able to call me back so quickly this time)
It took me getting upset and constantly calling to to get paid, I actually ended up showing up to the office and waiting for my check to be cut because they had told me months earlier that the check was going to be put in the mail.
Don’t waste your time, find another company to do business with.
Had some landscape rock delivered, they got a hold of us to make sure we were available before showing up. The driver was able to put it where we needed it. Put the rock around our house, and it looks great. Lots of styles to choose from. Thanks again.
3rd or more occasions, I have used Bones for my landscaping needs. Great people with many options. Willing to help when needed. Flexible with schedule when possible.
I an new to Ottawa and glad I found Bones Rock Yard.
Just by chance I passed the yard leaving ottawa I turned around and stopped.
I asked about rock and a day later I had it well wasn't enough called and a day later I had another can't beat that kind of service I'll probably be calling again ????
Very friendly. I've had 2 separate deliveries in the past month. Had I been ben told the first time it was cheaper to get a full load, If wouldn't have needed the second delivery & had to pay another delivery charge. Other than that it was a vfc good experience.
While a wasn't home I did how over a plan when I ordered. The driver was tipped. But did not even try to spread rock out. A little disappointed but rock was delivered
These guys rock. Delivered earlier than expected. Yay. Dumped the sand right where we needed it and cut down alot of manual labor. Highly recommend them. Thanks again for your great service.
Not great. Called on a Friday to get sand delivered on following Tuesday. They said they’d give me a call Monday night to confirm. Monday came and went and no call. Tuesday came and went and no show. I called Tuesday afternoon and they had forgotten about my order. She said she had just saw note to call me (but never did). We agreed to the next day (Wednesday) before 11am before delivery. Wednesday before 11 came and went, no show. I get a call from them 11:15 saying they knew “they were falling on their face with my order”, said they had a driver in vacation and one called out sick and asked to get it out there that afternoon. That didn’t work for me so we agreed on the following day (Thursday now) before 11am for redelivery. It was delivered and was fine. I feel like they should have offered me a discount or even a waiver of the $90 delivery fee for these multiple mistakes. I get things happen with people being gone and sick but if this had been taken care of and not forgotten about on Tuesday this wouldn’t have even came into play. I didn’t feel like a priority for them and won’t be going back.
Update: I spoke with the company and they were very sorry about this and made it right. I'm willing to give them another shot.
I would use Bones over and over again. Communication was great, staff was very helpful, kind, and understanding. Delivery driver was surgical with his truck, and spread the gravel load masterfully in a difficult area. Not to mention how inexpensive they were compared to their corporate competitors. Bones is a ROCK solid company.
We had a fantastic experience with Bones Rock Yard and will use them again. They are informative, friendly, and had what we needed at a great price. We can't recommend them enough!
