Amazing! They said it'd be about an hr took about 30ish mins, was very careful with hooking up my vehicle and had it done very securely. I had joe he had amazing manners was gonna open the door for me but I got outta the vehicle before he could he helped me go thru the card payments I've never done it that way they put it where I wanted it was only about $100 for a two very good pricing, amazing manners, fast speedy sufficient service just everything was absolutely amazing and to my standards highly recommend and will be my go to company. Thank you Hillcrest!
Worst tow company I’ve ever dealt with. My vehicle was towed to a dealership by them and they 1, failed to mention that their was an after hours fee or I would’ve waited to get my vehicle towed until the next day. 2, they double charged me because my key “wasn’t” in the vehicle and it was so a bill that should have been $160 ended up jumping to $280 because of their own incompetence and they wouldn’t do anything about it even though it was their mistake and not mine. When I called to see what I could do about it their employee Kelly (male, not sure how to spell his name) used a rude tone then continued on to yell at me for a simple question I had. Wouldn’t recommend them to anybody, should’ve stuck with quality tow. Bunk company.
A good friend of mine was in need of a tow and this was the service she used they were fast professional and extremely helpful the driver did everything he could to get her car moved safely and damage free and the price was reasonable the equipment was in impeccable condition and believe me I would use them myself if needed all in all the give you that piece of mind you need in a less then desirable situation (great job Hillcrest )
Tim was great when I needed my car towed. He kept me updated with where/when my car was going. I recommend Hillcrest Wrecker to anyone who needs a tow!
They picked my car up from an accident and then one of their workers decided to take my beat headphones that were in my console out of my car. I dont know why people cant leave stuff alone that is not theres. I get it, you probably need it in life more than me. But thats just not having good morals!
Also if you go through their reviews they have others that have also gotten stuff stolen!
An absolute professional and accommodating! I made the mistake of agreeing to the location drop off only to discover moments later that the correct location was next door. I called Tim and he was able to accommodate my mistake in record time. Much appreciated and looking forward to working with this company in the near future!
Unbelievably bad service. Called at 3:30 pm to ask for a tow, the driver told me he was 2 and a half hours out. I said I am in no hurry, could they do it today? He said yes and took my info, fast forward to 6 pm, I take an uber to the truck. I wait around 15 mins and decide to call, an after hours lady answered and told me she had no information about my tow and would call the driver. Driver says he went there already and called me "over 20 times". I ask if I can speak to the driver, no. Is there anyway for them to help me? no. I asked what number they called because they were supposed to take it from the call log and she said she isn't sure but it must of been the wrong number. I responded "that's funny because my number is LITERALLY TAPED TO THE WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR SO THE BUSINESS COULD CALL ME" and the operator just said "I don't know what happened I can't control that sir". So I finally just said "I'll just leave a one star review if you can't help" and in response I just got "do whatever you want sir". Ridiculous. What if I didn't have money for ubers? I would of just been stuck 3 hours to get told to go eff myself, not to mention they wasted my money and time to go back to the vehicle. If they couldn't do it they just needed to say no. There's no way that driver ever went to get my truck, it wasn't even locked, keys in, number in the window! Literally, it won't drive so it can't be stolen! I hope this place burns. holy hell
Ryan came out fast on a Sunday pick up a loaded trailer that sunk on the landing gear. Fast friendly knowledgeable and was good to my equipment. Recovery was done very well no damage to equipment. Highly recommend Hillcrest if you ever need a rotator recovery.
I called Hillcrest to pick up car that had been sitting in a field for over a decade and had settled 8 inches in the ground. Hillcrest got it out on the truck bed and threaded a needle in getting the car in a storage unit. Hillcrest responded in short notice and the driver went out of his way to make sure he could do the job while taking as little of my time as possible. I was very happy with the service.
When no one else would help us and other towing companies just kept making us wait longer and longer, I called Hillcrest and I couldn’t be happier. Not only did they actually care about us being stranded, but they had a tow truck to us within 30 minutes of me calling them even with us being 21 miles away. Please please if you need a tow, please call Hillcrest. Give them your business. My dad who owned a tow truck company before he died would have been proud as hell of this company
Here is something that the insurance companies will not tell you, go ahead and order yourself a tow from any tow company like this great one right here. Once you do that, you can get compensated so long as you have the proper insurance level and coverage. Help your local businesses. These guys are always the best and are perfect for nearby in and out of Lawrence!
Each of the people I have spoke with have been super helpful & courteous. I personally had Jason tow my vehicle multiple times & he's always the nicest person. Hillcrest is by far the best when it comes to service, price, and convenience
Hillcrest was awesome and helped me out of a jam. My daughter goes to school in Kansas and I live in TX. She recently had car trouble on the highway and I needed to tow her car to a repair shop. They made the process seamless and went above and beyond to make the process easy for my daughter and this dad was blown away by what they did for us. They came highly recommended by another business and I saw first hand why!
Hillcrest tow? I don't think so! Waited over an hour past a prearranged pickup time. Called them twice (they never called me) and both times was told driver was on their way. Finally gave up as I had come to pickup site from kansas city and had already wasted 3 hours. I had to call the shop where it was supposed to be delivered to and apologize to the owner. Not acceptable.
The staff is very friendly. I'd like to point out one in particular, his name is Jason. He was incredibly helpful despite being as busy as he was. This will certainly be the only company I use for any future towing needs. I'm only giving 5 stars because I can't give more.
I'm super happy with this company! Jason came out & helped me avoid taking my car into an unreliable/untrustworthy shop for service which is something I really appreciate as someone who knows nothing about cars & the shops in the area. He confirmed it was a battery issue & not my starter and also got me goin'. Great rate, super friendly & reasonable, I couldn't be happier with them! 11/10, will call anytime I am in a jam!
They are very nice. They were waiting on me to get there because I had to drive from work to meet them, I also forgot to give them my key fob along with the key. The driver just laughed it off and was very understanding. I definitely recommend and I'll be using them again if I ever need towing as well!
I hit a deer at 1:30 am on my way home from KCI airport. The deer & my car didn't make it. The turnpike authority's gave me the number to Hillcrest Wrecking. Jeremy, the tow truck driver was awesome. He got there fairly quick & loaded my car up in no time. Let me tell you the price was reasonable & service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this company.
My parents vehicle had issues on the interstate. My husband suggested Hillcrest. They were beyond amazing. They communicated timeline well. Were more than professional, had a happy disposition and were just great. Thank you for making what could've been a more stressful day a bit better.
Have had to use their services twice in the last three weeks. Both times, the drivers were extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and very professional. Also extremely professional and patient over the phone. Highly recommend if you need a tow.
Wanted a simple removal of object blocking tire from car. Had ordered service, lady on phone was extremely rude and raised her voice at me multiple times. Would not listen to what I was saying. Ended up not even sending person to perform task and I had to find another company to do it. When you are in need of help, do not call this company. Extremely unprofessional and would not recommend. Lady should be as ashamed how she acted over what should have been a small simple job.
I had an oopsie with my car and a ledge in my driveway. Called them and they were there in less than ten minutes. They worked out a plan and kept me informed every step of the way. Very good customer service(they were both very reassuring) and it’s reasonable priced. I hope I won’t need them again but if I need a tow Hilcrest is who I’ll call.
Driver Erin was very friendly and helpful, these folks are on time and get their work done quickly, very reasonable pricing too. Nice! Only thing I didn't like was after they dropped my car off, I saw them drive by a little while later with a classic mustang loaded up. You didn't have to make me jealous like that!!
I spoke with Jason the Assistant Manager and Jason the Driver and not only were they extremely polite and helpful, but they helped me to understand what "rights" and coverage I had in order for me to make the best use out of my policy. They took a very unpleasant and hard situation for me and gave me hope that everything will work out for the best. I recommend them anytime you are in need of a tow, or even a car purchase because they are knowledgeable with that too. Thank you guys!!
When we called for a tow, we gave our location and type of car. We had a 45 minute wait time and when the driver arrived, we were told the price was actually almost double the original price we were given. At that point, we just had to pay the new price since we had already been waiting awhile and it was dark out. The driver was very nice, but I am hesitant to call again in the future.
