Outstanding customer service! This was my first visit, but they took such good care of me that I feel like this is a local mechanic I've trusted for years! The first person who answered the phone took enough info about my car's issue, and she scheduled me at the perfect time during my busy morning on the very next day. All of their communication was clear and prompt, including a cost estimate that was completely fair, and lower than the other 2 places I'd called. They did the work right the first time, and got me out the door so much faster than expected. This was everything you could hope for in an experience with a new mechanic, and I'm so glad I found them!
Had a great experience with them. I work in this business at a large dealership in the quad Cities, but my wife's water pump went out in her Toyota and it was overheating so I could not get it to my dealership. So I tried JR'S as they were local. They got me right in, had the vehicle repaired within a couple days. I am able to look up standard repair times and what should be charged, and they charged me less than what it actually pays standard to do this job! I then took the vehicle to my dealership and had my technicians review the work that was done and JR'S did a great job. You couldn't even tell they worked on the vehicle except for it had a new water pump! Everything was done properly and correctly! Did a great job! Thank you! I will be back if ever necessary!
Nice guy seems honest, but took a long time and never got my vehicle fixed. Never diagnosed problem completely. Ultimately I didn't get it fixed vehicle just sat there for 2 and 1/2 months, I gave up on him fixing it. Every time I was frustrated about the time it took JR was really nice. It's hard to get mad at the guy. However when I went to get my truck in the evening my doors were left unlocked, probably the whole time it was there. It was stored in a field next to his shop. I have allot personal stuff/tools/decent radio in my truck, wasn't to happy about that. JR is very likable and it's hard to be to mad at him. However he's a really nice guy, I believe he is a good mechanic, it just took to long and nothing much was done. On the plus he is honest and never even charged me. I have mixed feelings about the place.
My car broke down on my way out of town an hour away from home, had my car towed here and in the end my car wasn’t worth the cost to fix everything (She had a lot of problems lol). Between living an hour away from this shop and having issues with the dmv about my title, I wasn’t able to get it towed to a recyclers right away…JRs staff has been BEYOND amazing, patient, helpful, and understanding in letting me keep my car there until I got things ironed out and could get my car out of their lot. The mechanics I spoke with explained everything so well, gave me honest recommendations, and made sure I understood everything. The lovely lady at the desk was awesome and so friendly!! Will forever recommend this shop from here on, y'all have some truly honest and kindhearted people working here. Can’t thank everyone here enough for taking a huge stress off of me when life got crazy.
DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! I was in need of having a SBC 350 rebuilt - this will be a little long but necessary - I called JR in August of 23 about having an engine rebuilt - he was going to be having surgery and asked that I call back after August, I called in September set up a time to drop off the engine in October of 23 - I drop it off, JR tells me he will call me in ONE WEEK once they get in to it - no call, I call him after 3 weeks - not available, no return call, I call every 2 weeks - not available, no return call - after 10 weeks he finally gets on the phone - has the audacity to act like I had done something wrong - at this point I told him I would come pick it up, and did - showed up and parts are missing - absolutely the WORST customer experience one could have, if you do not value your time and enjoy being lied to, this is the shop for you!
Traveling along 80 when the truck came out of overdrive and wouldn't shift...thought our trip to Indy for the NHRA race weekend was done, found JR's via Google after getting a "nope, scheduled out to October for service" from a Dodge dealership service dept. Made it to JR's and were greeted with kindness and a willingness to read the codes to at least figure out what was going on. They not only diagnosed the problem, but fixed the relay and didn't over charge us! Knowledgeable, friendly, and fantastic customer service!! Thank you for helping the travelers!
Wow this place is amazing! The staff were super friendly. Took the time to listen to my concerns. Had my vehicle fixed and running smooth in less time then predicted. Communication was great, they kept me in the loop with my vehicle. You just get the feeling that your part of the family and you can trust to be taken care of.
Jr's is a very nice place to take your car or truck or camper aND they work w you on prices AND try to find the best part available JRS IS HIGHLY RECCOMEND 5STARS A Really GREAT PLACE STAFF IS AMAZING
They always take care of us. We get our vehicles serviced and repaired here. They always get us in and get us back going in a timely manner. Nothing but good things to say about JR's.
I don't know cars, so I need a mechanic that I can trust to know cars. At JR's they figured out the issues with the car, and let me know the difference between things that can wait and things that can't. I recommend them without question.
They have always been available to work on my husband's 11 year old Dodge Dakota. Their service is and has always been excellent. We wouldn't use anyone else.
5 Stars. While traveling across country from work out West this Spring my vans AC unit froze up and imploded. I realized the repair was more than a roadside with hand tools kind of deal. I mapped for repair shops in the area and called JR's. The receptionist immediately arranged for a local tow company to get my van to their shop and at a very reasonable rate. Even though the shop was very busy, JR recognized my situation as a traveler and got my repair started right away. When the parts were not available locally that day, the shop arranged for discounted accommodations in town at a nice B&B and I was told they would finish the repair ASAP. They called the next afternoon and informed me my van was up and running. This shop had the perfect opportunity to over charge me due to my traveling situation but JR was completely HONEST & FAIR. The WHOLE STAFF were FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING. THANK YOU guys for getting me back on the road and home to MI the next day.
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! My sister and I were traveling back to Kansas City after the holidays when our car started making a terrible squeaking/screeching noise on the highway. We called’s JR’s and they took us in immediately! They are the friendliest people and truly cared about our comfort and getting us back on the road ASAP. They even offered to share their lunch with us! They checked out the car and discovered a walnut in our back tire (lol!) and didn’t charge us a dime! I honestly can’t say enough good things about them!
I know these guys for many years, they are the best, most reliable mechanical shop in town. They might be expensive but any dealer will charge you more. I know JR for at least 12 years and he's a professional with many years of expertise.
