So the condensing unit they sold me was brand new but it turns out it was 3 years old. The matching air handlers for this condenser are no longer available anywhere so I paid Surplus City $1300 for a condenser that I can’t use. It just sits in the corner of my garage collecting dust. Update: I tried to sell it on Marketplace and then realized it has a freon leak in the coil! It was never even installed! This place is a scam.

My husband and I purchased a liquid propane gas control valve from this company, brought it home, hooked it up and it didn't even work! They stated their policy, was all sales final. Not a happy customer, that I spent the money for the part that didn't work. So now Im out of the money I spent and have to buy a new one ?

I was a little concerned about the 3-5 day shipment warning, but it turned out all the lost time was FedEx. Motor packed well, as shown in the photos, and its working great. Surplus city saved me at least $400 on this repair.

Bought home with old 3 ton 2007 condenser and AH...I REFUSE to cower down to the BS...Flamable...Green Deal..new units!! I got a new 3-ton condenser at a great price, delivered to my home. Very happy with price, quality and service.

2 separate orders: 1st order not happy at all due to all of the delays from leaving warehouse to delivery Co. I Took 2 days of vacation to be at home for delivery that never happened per the scheduled delivery. Schedule changed at least 10 times 1star review. 2nd order went a little better. HOWEVER, i still had to leave my house and drive to meet delivery driver with my lowboy trailer for my pickup while i was cooking supper. i paid for home delivery? 3 star review. Very Slow process from order to delivery, felt like a scam on order #1. But overall, this is a legit business with great name brand AC equipment at a very good reasonable price. Will use again in future

This company is a scam and does not stand behind their products or warranty. I purchased a 2.5 ton condenser and coil. The dock company never called me when it arrived, and when I finally picked it up, the unit came in a sealed, non-transparent box with no exterior damage. When I opened it before installation, the coil was bent. After installation, the system wouldn’t pull down to 500 microns, and a nitrogen test confirmed the coil was leaking. I contacted the company the SAME DAY of installation, and their response was that I should have reported it at pickup — which is impossible since the damage was concealed inside the box. Their so-called “warranty” is worthless, and their customer service is nothing more than a way to push responsibility back on the customer. Because of their negligence, my company took a total financial loss. We had to buy another new unit from a local vendor and was installed with no problem. I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau and warning other contractors to stay away. Save yourself the money and frustration — buy from a reputable local supplier.

Great company with can't beat prices on most items. I use them every chance I get. Never had a problem with the equipment that I've got from them. Until this time had a outdoor run for 2 days and a temp cutoff quit working. Happens but customer wasn't thrilled.

Exceptional customer service. Very good HVAC units for the modest price. However, I did receive a cased coil unit with a slight dent at the drain. (this could have potentially been a big issue). After checking it out all is well. My first purchase was exceptional. I made a second purchase a few weeks afterwards it to is exceptional. I will highly recommend Surplus City if you are in the market to purchase HVAC equipment. A well satisfied customer so far.

Great price on a good package unit. Found out the unit had a leak in the shield system. And since we bought the 30 day start up, we were refunded the full purchase price since they were out of the model we had bought. And they told us to keep the unit if we wanted too. Which I thought was above and beyond for customer service. And by the way i'm a retired, forty five year h v a c service technician. Harry

The condenser I got works perfectly, brand new in a box. The only problem is communication between me and surplus city.

We purchased a new unit because ours had bit the dust! Someone referred us to Surplus City so we ordered one. Everything came as described, boxed and ready to go. Our semi driver was very kind and called before delivery as I asked. The driving company was also very helpful when I called to ask that they would give me a notice before delivery. Purchased 3.5 Ton York Heat pump and Goodman A-Coil. Magee was very help full in facilitating my purchase and was very accommodating to arrange pick up which saved me shipping cost. Both units are now installed and are working to my liking. I plan to register both items for the 10 year warranty. Very happy with purchase at Surplus City

Was an awesome experience dealing with surplus city!!! Sheri was great! And the owner was even better!!! I was helping restore a home that had burned 4 years ago and the owner has been homeless, shorted by her insurance company and so many other challenges with the county inspectors! So money has been tough for the owner! I have to say that surplus city stepped up and really gave her an awesome deal, she was and is so grateful for their kindness, today many companies just care about the bottom line of Sales, surplus city is such a great company they really care about people!!! Bought a Daikin down flow furnace and the burners go out right before the fan comes on. Called in a repair guy and he's stumped on what the problem might be. I'm pulling this unit and selling the parts and will be purchasing a warranted furnace from a reliable supplier.

New 3.5 ton American standard heat pump next to an older Lenox 3 ton heat pump. I really like the new pump, it makes the other one look kinda cheap. Great price, fast shipping. This will be the first place I look for AC equipment from now on

Found some floor vent covers online for very cheap great price. Would’ve been very expensive if I had gone to a big box store. Had to get 12 of them. Some were bent just a tad but they’re beautiful, they’re the kind that open/shut but they’re so new that it’s hard to open. The price was phenomenal. Shipping cost was cheaper than I expected and shipping only took 3 days. Thank you so much!

Beware this company sells damaged HVAC units... They are very deceitful. I bought a York AC unit this company listed on ebay as brand new in box. When i received it and had a licensed technician install it, the unit was leaking from the coil. Contacted them with the issue they promised taking care of the problem but never did and stopped responding to my emails. I reported them to BBB and they lied that i did not send them evidence when i have proof which i submitted to the BBB. All our correspondence on ebay. When i read some complaints on the BBB site i realized this people are scams. They will hunt you down to leave them a good review. Now i know why. Do not buy any mechanical devices from this people. The will take your money, make false promises and leave you with a damaged product.
