Just walked in and he popped out a ball joint with ease and put the new one in. Very reasonable. North Judson is lucky to have this professional and such a nice shop.
So I know this complaint is from a long time ago, but I just now realized that they were on Google. Back in 2007 I had my fuel pump regulator go out on my car. The car just so happens to die close to Skips, so I pushed it in their parking lot. They ran diagnostics on it told me what the issue was, so I opted to purchase my own regulator. Well they quoted me a price of $364. With me purchasing my own part I should have been charged $224. When I picked my car up I got the bill and it was for $364. I questioned why it increased, and I was told it also needed a MAP sensor. So I paid for it even though I disagreed, I was just happy to get my car back. Well 30 something mile down the road the car starts miss firing and stalling. I could only accelerate up to about 45 MPH, so I pulled over called Skips told them what was going on. The man refused to help without wanting to charge me over $100 to come get the car. Even after explaining I just left his shop 30 minutes ago.So I had the car towed back to my house, and another mechanic came to look at it. He towed it back to his shop, had me follow him then made notes of everything the guy who worked on it screwed up and showed me why. For starters they re used my upper intake manifold gaskets that were damaged, broke the wiring harness and lost clips for my MAP sensor, had never fixed a rubber hose causing a vacuum leak, and cracked two fuel injectors when they installed the pressure regulator. Thank goodness I paid with a check and had plenty of time to stop payment on it! This place is and will always be a “I’ll never go there again” place. They are frauds and horrible mechanics!

Great place to take your car for service. Skip does great work at a reasonable price. Takes week or two to get in but He's busy all the time. You wont be disappointed
