Been coming here from Michigan because of the good prices. Thats no more. The checkout guy who was very nice said they had new owners. They wanted THIRTY DOLLARS for an ashtray. TWENTY DOLLARS for a cup holder and TWENTY DOLLARS for one sun visor. I ended up leaving some things I had pulled because I can get them online cheaper. It’s crazy when Paul’s is double the price of LKQ. I was surprised how many things I found but now I know why. No one wants to pay those prices to pull your own part when you can just shop online and have it sent to you cheaper. I’m bummed because I used to love coming here. You could get some good used parts at a fair price. Especially since you are doing the work of pulling them. The employee was very friendly and I feel bad he probably has to deal with a lot of angry people once they get to the checkout and are given the crazy prices. Just a heads up to anyone needing used parts, LKQ is around the corner and is half the price of Paul’s now. What a shame.
Called and was immediately put on hold for over 10 minutes. Called back to complain about being on hold for so long and was told I was being put on hold again and was hung up on.
Pauls auto salvage is a disrespectful business that has NO respect for its customers!
They treated my grandfather well when he got injured in the yard and helped take care of of his cut down his arm and even unloaded his truck and offered to drive him to the emergency room.
Because I showed up at 4:32 and was turned away and your web site says open until 5pm but Omni source accepted me at 4:45. I mean you guys are definitely better than the others was just angry with it was handled

Used to be good, they no longer give you a weight ticket for your load so there is no wau to check (its "trust me bro"). Called and said 210 a ton then after we dumped it gave us 175 (lower then anywhere we called). Gave us shredded scrap prices for automotive rotors and scrap. Weight somehow was exactly 1500lbs on the dot (yeah right). I won't bring my scrap there anymore, I wondered how we got right in on a Saturday
I have been going to Paul's for years now. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think the scales are rigged. I went there today with quite a bit of angle iron and the scale says it was only 120lbs. I can guarantee it was definitely more. I keep all my receipts from when I go and I took the same amount last week which was over 300lbs. I'll have the same amount tomorrow but I'll be going to omnisource to see the weight difference. If it's drastically different I will be getting ahold of someone from the city.
I want to thank the gentleman who runs the copper scrap dept. He graciously let me turn in my scrap this afternoon. I apologize to him if he feels as tho he had to stay late because of the last minute I showed up. Thanks RON for your service.
BE CAREFUL. The employees in the scale house are not considerate of the customer loads. They do not pay you for the correct material, and give you a weight for the cheapest metal.
My suggestion would be to omni source, where they will separate the different metals and give a reasonable price.
My business with Paul's auto yard, will be my 1st and last. Put some professionalism in your work ethics.
I'll never go here again, requested for someone twice to lift the car they said the would do it and I sat out there for 1 hour waiting in the snow and rain. Maybe this place is for you but not me , I walked out got tired of waiting in the cold . I'll never be back.

Paul’s is the best around for disposing of a no longer needed vehicles. After checking around they offered the best price. The tow driver was kind and efficient. Amber whom I dealt with to make and confirm the deal was absolutely awesome. I can’t give her enough praise.
We had 2 cars that needed to be scrapped. Paul's gave us the best price. The process was easy. They came to pick up the vehicles and brought us cash. I was able to communicate with Amber via text through out the process which made things must easier. She was very helpful, professional and courteous! rude employees. had a couple truck frames i wanted to take in, but wanted to keep the titles since i am keeping the cabs. called ahead of time to try to ask what they could do for me and 11 seconds into me speaking the ladie hung up on me. terrible service and high prices, good luck
They keep the yard nice and clean. I never have any trouble with them. Everyone is very nice and it's even better when the prices go up

Ask you a ton of questions just to go in the you pull it yard. If it's wet out your screwed as it all mud, ruts and streams. Cars and trucks anywhere and every where. Chevy's with Dodge's and Ford's ect. Vehicles are on the ground. Have to jump over cars and trucks to get around in some area's. Saw no carts. No price sheets and prices vary for some reason. Don't know if any engines or transmissions are good. Other Paul's you know what your paying and no crazy prices.
LKQ at least you know what your going to be charged and don't vary. Then cars are organized and up on stands. Though they have fees for everything including walking in the door.
On the good side they have lots of cars and trucks most older models. No crazy core charges for misc parts only parts that are rebuildable like alternators, starters and engines. Best to go on days when it's not wet out or big boots.
As much as a purchase here for used parts I figured I’d give it a try to take in my non ferrous metals I save up and boy was that a mistake. I’m not an alley junkie that take in such small amounts for a beer. I’m a hobby scrapper and I save up my still till I have a large amount to take in. Take your stuff elsewhere. Had a brass radiator was graded as aluminum. Brought in 60lb of yellow brass they gave me dirty brass it was bright yellow not dirty. Graded all my bare bright stripped copper wire as #2 should have been #1. They even started to fill it out as yellow brass but crossed it out. Lost out on probably 200$ worth of stuff because they are in it to rip you off. My normal place was closed but I’ll make sure to just wait for them next time. Place should be investigated for fraud.
DJ from the South Bend location REALLY knows his stuff. He knows the inventory, the yard, the customers, the employees and the job at hand. He is friendly and helpful and goes above and beyond his duties. I will stay going to him for any of my needs when it comes to my cars.

He shared he’s been doing this for 30 years and I believe it-he made it look easy! I had Paul’s come pick up a scrap truck and between guys in office/dispatch/drivers it was all straight forward and timely. I’d like to give a shout out to the driver who picked up the truck. “CJ” ( respectful and great attitude).
He provided a great impression and image of Paul’s.
Really don't like leaving 1 star reviews but after dealing with the guys at the non Ferris metals side it's needed. Brought in 338 lbs of automotive wiring harness still in sheathing and with all the connectors and such. When calling before hand was told it would be $.80-$1/lb same with other yards as it's classed as #2 Insulated wire but has done business scrapping the shells of the cars harness came from at Paul's without issues befoe. Upon arrival it was graded as Christmas lights at $.15/lb. Management didn't care and also refused to return the harness though a ticket had not been cashed out as it has already started being processed less then 20 minutes after dropping off also refused to let me walk back to see that it had been started even offered to sign any waiver required. Auto yard itself is pretty nice with a decent though gets very muddy and messy.
Ryan was extremely helpful from just the 1st call that was even made! He was very courteous efficient and just a pleasant man. The other workers were just as efficient and helpful to. Thank you! When someone is far from home and you need help with car issues it can be very stressful. Paul's Auto Yard was able to ease much of that stress! Have a very blessed safe and joyful day gentleman!
My husband and I go here pretty often for vehicle parts and to drop off scrap. We've never had a bad experience. The staff is very nice and helpful. Prices are reasonable and worth the visit.
