My husband broke down Friday evening, turn lane on Juniper and Cleveland rd 10:00 pm . I called and was told they didn’t have anyone available until Saturday.
I asked why was there a big accident issue in the area . Was told They wouldn’t send someone out because our distance of being towed was too short and they wouldn’t make enough money.!!

This is the rudest most unprofessional unhelpful non-community oriented business I’ve had to deal with in seven years.!!! Are tow companies not there to help us?? For an hour waiting for a different tow truck who only charges a $75 who drove from the far southside!
This woman at Vic told me to call the police that they would come and help us.
I took my family to the Haunted House and made a mistake by parking in a parking lot that had a sign that says that I wasn’t supposed to park there (some how I missed it), So long story short I called the number to find out if my car was there, and I reached the most rudest, nastiest, racist unhinged person ever. Once I got there she didn’t want to accept my money and told me that she was not giving me my car because I asked her if she was the person I talked to on the phone, if so then I would like a supervisor or a number and name of one who I can call about her obnoxious behavior. We both called the police and when they came 3 cars and all. Two policemen came up to me and I explained what took place. She was not happy that they didn’t come to her first, apparently this has been going on for a long time with her and this place. The officers said that they were growing tire of it, and the fact that she did it in front of kids was ridiculous. So the policeman took my drivers license and payment to the lady and told her that she had no right to hold my car. The policemen were very nice and handled the situation so well. It was them who told me to go to their reviews and to say the least I was very disgusted at what I saw. Although I was very frustrated and disappointed in the service that I received, my night ended well cause for one she didn’t achieve with her planned to take me out of character and that I was able to help another family out by informing them not to park there and paying $241.00 because again they didn’t see the sign neither. I hope this review helps someone else not to do any business with them.

Absolutely the worst towing experience imaginable. From the moment we called Vic’s Towing, we were met with rudeness and hostility. The phone interaction was unpleasant, but things only got worse in person. Their customer service is not just lacking—it’s aggressively disrespectful. They treated us like an inconvenience rather than customers.
They tried to charge nearly $500 for a 20-minute tow, and when we asked for a breakdown of the charges, they refused to provide a detailed receipt. The price mysteriously dropped four different times during our conversation, which felt like they were just making numbers up on the spot.
In the middle of trying to resolve the issue, they kicked us off their lot, sent dogs out, and gave us only 30 minutes to figure out how to remove our car, which they had blocked in. We had no choice but to call the police just to get them to speak with us civilly. At one point, they even attempted to hit us with their truck while we were on the lot.
This business operates with zero professionalism, no transparency, and a complete disregard for basic human decency. Vic’s Towing should be shut down and held accountable for their behavior. If you value your safety, sanity, and wallet, do not ever let your vehicle end up at Vic’s Towing.
If you car or truck get towed by police for any reason be prepared to pay a lot this guys know that situation that’s the way they make more money and that’s the reason they take turns to towed SBPD and sheriff calls

I would like to say thank you to the young woman I spoke with over the phone for Vic's Towing she was really great very friendly and empathetic to my situation and even gave me some great suggestions and the price was decent. I would definitely reach out to them again if I need anymore towing assistant!
Don't believe all you read , some folks just can't be pleased, I had an amazing experience with this crew. Melissa and the yard guy I think Oscar were absolutely amazing and accommodating. This place is top notch and I owe them a debt of gratitude. Don't believe what all mad people.say in comments, experience things for yourself! Thank you Melissa!!!!!
My mother got in an accident and had a hard time getting ahold of this place. We needed the stuff out of our car and she broke her foot so she needed some time, it had been a week. She called twice, the second time, somebody answered the call and was extremely rude, said they were closed when in fact they had a few more mins to talk. The woman over the phone couldn't care less about anything she had to say
Had my vehicle towed here after an accident. Since my first tow company was unavailable, the officer recommended Vic's. The next day I went to retrieve my belongings and was refused entry, citing I must have a tow truck driver with my to access my vehicle, even though there's a photo hanging in their office stating you only need ID, proof of insurance, and ownership of vehicle. The next day I returned with a driver, they refused my payment stating they only take cash. They also told me I had to get a release form from the sheriff's office. Sheriff's office staff told me Vic's has been told multiple times that they do not require a release form. After returning from the sheriff's office, the receptionist lady had a much different tune!
Response to owner's comment: I called twice and confirmed the number is the same. You might want to read the numerous other bad reviews and consider hiring a new receptionist. Nice try on trying to say I didn't contact your business, though!
Google says they do impound towing, but apparently not. The receptionist was rude and hung up on me when I asked who they would recommend for impound towing after she told me they don't do it. I was told to "get a life." How is this place even in business? Avoid at all costs.
After an accident, the local police arranged for Vic's to tow my car since it didn't seem drivable. They are a little tough to get a hold of on the phone, but the staff are quite friendly. Melissa seems to be the secretary/front desk. She was very helpful and nice through my time communicating with her. The office is only available to visit by appointment. Weekdays until 2PM EST.
Called asking for information on my car and the lady on the phone wanted to act like she knew something. Assuming another car was mine and indicating I was lying. Unprofessional, rude, and not even helpful.
Overall horrible company. My dad called to arrange my car to get picked up, he was told on the phone we could come, pay, and the tow company I had coming could come sometime after the same day. When I called to pay, I was told my tow truck had to be there with me to pick up the car with me. I was charged for costs that were straight BS!
$150 for admin fee
$85 for cleaning up an accident MY DAD CLEANED UP!
Also charged for 9 days of storage (450) when my vehicle was only there 8.
If police would've given me a choice on companies to tow my vehicle, THIS COMPANY WOULD NEVER BE MY CHOICE!

Called to try and get my truck towed off the highway, wanted 25 dollars extra to drive an extra half mile to pick up the keys after I tried to tell the woman on the phone I would walk them down there but she wouldn't stop cutting me off and just hung up. Rudest company I've ever dealt with. Found another tow company that did the same job for 60 dollars less after being told "go find someone cheaper then!" While she was busy talking down so thanks for the advice! Olivers towing for all your needs and they are so polite!!
I called a day ahead of time to schedule a pickup, called in the morning to confirm, and waited for more than four hours. They kept repeating that they were "running behind" but were not able to tell me even an approximation of arrival. I've met toddlers with better organizational skills

A+++ Towing service . This is the 3rd time I have used Vic's towing service but this will be the first time I have left a review. So I'm giving them a 15 star. 2015 they towed my jeep to Chesterton, no issues ,no damage and super nice driver ..2018 they towed my firebird with a donut tire on the front across town in south bend , was worried about the front bumper but they were professional and again no issues and no damage, super nice driver. Today they towed my mazda cx7 from southbend to valparaiso , no issues and no damage and again super nice driver. He did a really good job and was pretty quick to get it unloaded. Also want to mention they did it from 55.00 to 110.00 less than other quotes from other company's. The office ladies have always been able to give me a fast quote over the phone and stuck with it. and I have never been disrespected from the office Not really sure why the low reviews but I'm 3 out of 3 with good experiences with this company and I will call them again. Thank you again Vic's Towing for the great service .
First of all it was driven drunk by someone who don't own it. So the owner wants her car back but first the lady who answers is soooo rude and won't even give me the money amount without vin number. Finally get off work to get the vin for her to say 300 but we closed already and u can get it til Monday now which she never once said earlier. Hey it's Friday if u can't get it u will rack up weekend fees. Have u heard of good customer service?? We did not drive it drunk yet we are treated like a criminal and all we want is to get our car back. We don't even live in that town. So U tow 24/7 but someone can't drive to your town to get their car back? And the fee is double the amount of anywhere I've ever called and then u hang up on me. If I ever needed anyones help I would never ever call Vic's. Hire someone new to deal with ppl if ur gonna have prices like that AND keep them from getting their car all weekend when they did nothing wrong to begin with except let a fool drive their car Insane
I had my Chevy Silverado towed from my house to a shop in South Bend. The receptionist was really nice, the driver was really well spoken, respectful and professional. Also gave me a great price where other companies were way over. All around great experience. Definitely recommend
The lady there rubbed me the wrong way over the phone. It was very short and no feel of concern. But when I went to pick up my car, she was the nicest, most informative individual that I have met in this town. She has the same concerns as everyone in the community. She was prompt in servicing us. Because we did all of the necessary things going there, we were in and out in 15 minutes. The only reason I give them a 4 star is because they are not open on Saturdays.
If I could give this place zero stars I would have but the lowest rating is 1 star. It is the worst service and personal I have every had with a company. My elderly father was in an accident and I was calling on his behave as he was shaken up after the accident and did not know what was going on. The people are so rude and would not give me any information and told me my father was the only one they would talk with. I told them he was shook up and please work with me and then they hung up on me and would not answer my calls. I would never give them any business and will tell everyone I know to never use them for any reason.
You have a choice on who tows your car after an accident in South Bend. Do not allow Vic's towing to touch your car. They took my car and would not cooperate with me getting access to my personal property.
The lady on the phone is extremely rude. The younger lady that also works there is extremely rude. The gate is always closed so you can't get to the office. My insurance company also told me the staff was rude to them and that Vic's Towing refused to tell them how much they were charging for my car to be onsite per day. The insurance company was told by one of the rude ladies that they would find out the amount when thet pick up the car. This operation is unprofessional and shady to say the least. The city of South Bend needs to get out of the contract with this company.
Again, stay away from Vic's Towing. You use them, you will regret it.
Honestly took a star for how long it took them to get to me. But other than that, they did the work, got my car open (keys in the car. Yeah I did a dumb.) and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Plus when they called after a bit to let me know that their driver was late after a few hours. The person who called was kind. Which I guess I got them on a good day. (From what I see on the other reviews)
My stolen vehicle was towed by this company. The lady who answers the phone was nothing but rude. When asked the condition of car she said she hadn't seen it but bring title or come get it. The next day I had title and asked to see it first to make decisions on keeping my only vehicle or not. She said I need insurance and Police report wasn't enough. Details of company policies matter to a person unfamiliar with a new process. I just feel like she is not a right fit for this company or customer service.
I had to retrieve some belongings from my rental car after an accident and the woman I spoke with on the phone was completely rude. I called to let them know that I needed to stop by only for her to say no and that I can’t get my items until enterprise has the vehicle. So I called enterprise and had to get the green light from them first. Then I called Vicks again to let them know that so I was allowed. Only to get there and get my stuff with ease knowing that they hadn’t gotten any information from enterprise so I’m pretty sure that the women inside just made an excuse so I couldn’t go. I didn’t even go in to retrieve my belongings I had to get my boyfriend to go for me because I refused to deal with those women again after the last lady I spoke with told me “to come get my shit” terrible service if I could give 0 stars I would
Had my car towed here, Spoke to a woman about coming to it. By the time I got there, MAYBE another woman was there, she claimed to of not spoke to me on the phone, I politely re-explained myself and she continued to be rude.
not to mention, she was very rude to the driver she was speaking while engaging with me.
the staff that came when they picked my car up were polite, kind, and informative. But she... she needs a class on how to speak to people.
