Fantastic to work with. Quick, reasonably priced and definitely experienced. They will be my go to Tow from now on. Hopefully I won't need one but in the event I do Phelps will definitely be who I call and recommend. I spoke with Josh and the owner during my experience with them and both were great to work with.
My kid had a flat at a gas station. He was actively changing the tire when Allan showed up and tried to tow his car. He called my kid names and acted like he could control where he's at when his tire pops. Total unprofessional jerk. And he can't even be reprimanded since he s the owner. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't call this guy for anything.
Brought my truck into there to fix a abs pump because it went out, al phelps (the owner) told me he found one and ordered it for my truck he did the job it lasted maybe a week then the exact same thing started happening front right brake caliper started locking up again to the point i couldnt drive it would just pull hard right but this was during winter and the truck got stuck at my house until the roads werent as bad i didnt want to risk crashing (it was a ram 3500) took it back to phelps for them to fix he said since its been more than 2 weeks or 30 days he couldnt do anything about it and couldnt refund me or fix it because he said “its the only abs pump he could find for my truck in the whole united states” so im out $1500 and dont have a vehicle dont go to phelps.
From out of town and helped me out so fast! He said 10 minutes but I'm sure he was there sooner, thanks for making my first towing experience less terrible Nick!
Mr. Phelps, is wonderful!! He assisted my husband, and I with the towing of our vehicle, from the interstate. Allowed him, to remove the tire from his lot. Leave, return with a new tire, while resting assure our vehicle, was safe/secured, at his establishment, upon our return!! #KUDOSMRPHELPS!!
My wife hit a pothole and blew a tire out on I-74 at 6:00 on a Sunday afternoon. She needed the blowout removed and our own spare put on. They arrived quickly after calling and the cost was very reasonable.
Thank you Phelps Towing for providing excellent service. After waiting 2 hours for Safeco to send a tow truck driver out to tow my car I gave up and called Phelps Towing. Within 15 minutes the driver, Colton arrived and he was so friendly and efficient. They also went ahead and fixed my car issue. I highly recommend using this business. My only problem was not calling them earlier!
My grandchild broke down, I picked her up & took to Phelps. They were very helpful, towed her car & repaired it for a fair price. Courteous customer service. I would give a 5 star except for the $25 credit/debit card charge.
I've had my car towed a few times due to my own faults, or I've had them help me with a dead battery. Every time I've used Phelps Towing I've walked away a happy customer. This is one of those businesses that makes you feel right at home.
If I could give this company no stars I would. They up-charge $25 to pay with a credit card for starters. Second of all if you’re unaware of the up charge and you react to it with a comment like “wow” or “that’s a lot,” your met with rudeness, and disrespect. We will never patronize or refer our customers to this place again regardless if they’re the only company open in town at whatever hour that can help. They don’t deserve honest customers and they don’t deserve to be in business.

When I wrecked my car and was very distraught, he took advantage of that fact and he told me the car i just wrecked is his now and I’m not allowed to get anything out of it until i give him the title. Makes no sense but i did it because i was a kid and terrified. Hes not a good person. Many people i know have had the same experience with his business. One person got his truck impounded and before he could do anything about it he had stripped every good part off of it. The cops will not do anything about it.
My car was broken down. I needed it towed and fixed and i didn't know where or what to do. They took it to their shop and took care of it for a good price, good timing and amazing service. Eternally grateful and highly recommend
Good people, got my information and took my car from Shelbyville to Indianapolis no problem, got to me quick. They had planks to get the car on because it sat really low, that shows some overall experience.
These guys are just good people! They’re very kind, prompt, careful, knowledgeable, and have very good prices. It was a cold and rainy day when my son’s car broke-down and required towing. When I called the main number the guy was busy with another tow, but he gave me one of the drivers (Leroy) phone number to call and he arrived within 10 minutes! We had the car towed to Blue River for my son to work on in his Auto Tech class and Leroy knew exactly where the director prefers the vehicle to be parked! I can’t say enough great things about this business, but especially Leroy! Thank you kind sir!
They were so helpful. They called a place that could fix my truck and hauled my truck there. I was from out of state and had no idea what was available for fixing my truck. They took care of it for me. Highly recommend them if you have to get towed near Shelbyville, Indiana.
Was stuck 100 miles from home and was quick to pick us up. They were able to help us get truck fixed on a Saturday night at 8:00pm on Labor Day weekend.
I locked my keys in my car and they recommend a competitor that would be able to get to me sooner. I greatly appreciated the honesty and and integrity of the gentleman I talked to on the phone. I would definitely give them a call first if I am in the area and need a towing service.
I called he said he would call me back. Waited 2 hours called him then he tells me the same thing he will again reach me at my number he clearly read off to me and now it is the time I wanted my car towed and he still hasn't called back! Needless to say, my mother reached out to this other number who is going to pick up the car which if it is them and they already quoted me 165 I swear all hell's about to break lose lol. It better not say phelps on the tow vehicle otherwise Imma lose my cool!! Quoting her 220 smh. Time will tell..
Called Phelps Towing to pick up my forklift on a flatbed wrecker that I got stuck in the grass about 10 miles away. He was dropping off another towed vehicle and was there to pick mine up right after that.
He had it delivered to me in about 1 hour after I originally called him. This was a nice warm, sunny clear day, Wednesday about 1pm. (Not a snowy icy night that would be extremely busy.) Very fast service, and it was $85 total for everything.
Great price, fast service, nice helpful driver. I will call them again if I need anything else towed.
They helped me with my Pontiac. They helpsy grandfather with his truck and have helped a few of my friends with repairs. Great people and hospitable to new customers.
