Traveling from Chicago to Nashville, our truck had an issue with a belt tensioner and broke down. We had to be towed to wherever we could in order to repair it. No shop in the area would take us in. We were towed to the Autozone. This is where the bad day got better.
People there were helpful and set us up and even loaned us tools to do the job! We had an issue, and Kathy R went above and beyond to help make sure we got it all together.
They got us back on the road in a minimal amount of time and we made it to Nashville .

Cant sell you the right parts. My mother came to get a couple of light bulbs and they sold her the wrong ones. I would recommend to do your research before asking for parts from them. I prefer the one in seymour since they treat the customers better
Customer service is 3/10 1 other customer and one employee stayed on his phone and didn't acknowledge i was there, left for another auto parts store where customer service was 10/10
This store is amazing! I needed wiper blades for vehicle as the rubber was separating from the plastic.
It was raining and the store Manager, Andy, helped install them and even put in the washer fluid he sold me as well. Thank you, Andy! You are a life saver!
Somehow, the computer system caused a battery exchange delay. One of the cashiers was mad and cussed about it a few times, which I didn't mind, but it could be seen as unprofessional with a different customer.
This place is nice, and the staff is super welcoming upon entering every time. They always ask if theres anything I need help with, and when I say no, they respect that. (I've been to plenty of auto/car places that treat women diffefently. And, even though I dont know everything about cars, I know enough to know when I need help or not or when they're just trying to pull one over on me.) So, I appreciate the fact they do that. They're also helpful when you need them. I've been here quite a few times, with and without my fiance, and have had great experiences every time. Would recommend!
Awesome customer service! Very refreshing. I was on a 1k mile trip cross-country from AL to MI, Dec 2023, when my trusty Honda CRV spontaneously had a catastrophic engine failure (despite perfect routine maintenance ahead of schedule). I was fully packed with Christmas stuff, wife, two young kids, and no tools of my own. Mr. Neil (I think that was his name) and the other gentleman, did everything they could to help me out -- loaned me tools, offered their expertise, and supported me advanced diagnostics (beyond what my personal OBD could do). I was able to run some basic trouble shooting to determine I ultimately had to tow it to Honda. Thank you Mr. Neil and the other guy for helping me out!
So I was at autozone. I see a clearance tag on a stand with three different items. I ask manager hey are all these on clearance it looks that way. He said no the tag says air tank. I said the stand says jacks not air tank. How is it not false advertisement to have a clearance sticker on a stand and all different items on the stand but only one be 36$? Needless to say he didn't honor what looked to be a deal. Funny thing is they even have a button on the register that says false advertisement. I don't see how this is not a restocking mess up.
Today was win** at Autozone.
They had the same part that I had bought the previous day at Oriellys at less than half the cost. Allowed me to apply what I saved toward the replacement engine for my Jeep. Finally put me where I need to be to get it going.

I had to buy a part that I didn’t know if it would work or not. I asked if I could return it. They said no they don’t accept returns for that part. I also took a battery in to get recharged. They said it wouldn’t hold a charge. I took the battery to another store. They charged it for me. And they accepted the part that this location said they wouldn’t accept returned even though I bought it from this location
Great parts store! Friendly people, who do not mind helping you find whatever it is that you are in need of! The best price in town, when it comes to your auto parts!
Zero Stars & Good luck on AutoZone Lifetime warranty , they always cant seem to find you in the system, its happened EVERY time i have had to return an alternator, Starter, & especially Brake calipers, was told they were "kicked out" of the system after 2 years? that must be the "Limited" in Limited Lifetime Warranty, Dont waste extra money on getting that " Lifetime " warranty, you will have better luck & save more on Amazon
This location is ah-ight, they usually have to always order things if you're looking for car parts...the Autozone in Clarksville is waaaaay better, way bigger section.... Scottsburg doesnt have much of anything in ANY of their stores?
The auto chain has it right, BUT the wrong staff. The folks here seemed more engaged in themselves than in helping anyone. No greeting, no help, no service. If you go here be prepared to be a suffrage to their day. Have to say, wth, 2other stores one block away, no wonder this place was void of customers. Skip the non existent line and go elsewhere
Now this guy who is the STORE manager is all about taking care of the customer service experience he knows his parts and he will go above and beyond to get the job and sale done awesome job thank you .???????
I was never a big fan of AutoZone. But they have the better prices in town on a majority of their parts. Anytime I've needed to warranty any of the parts I've not had a problem. The place is starting to grow on me.
I Highly recommend going to any other auto parts store besides this one! ALSO AUTOZONE ONLINE FOR PARTS ESPECIALLY NEXT DAY IS A JOKE, I RECOMMEND ANY OTHER ONLINE PARTS STORE!
I have decided to edit my review from just okay 3/5 nand knock it down to 1/5 stars (would give 0/5 if possible) due to the fact that online orders are difficult to return at this store. Another reason, Most of the staff make things more difficult than necessary, because they either don't know how to do something or they are unwilling to provide solutions to loyal customers when difficult or unusual situations arise, mostly give a get rid of you apology, with a shrug and customer service number that's a huge waste of time because they direct you back to the store that didn't know what to do so nothing gets done. Once I was finally able to find the necessary information and procedure on my own and then have them process the return, they took the item and sent the money back to a closed account, when I contacted the bank as instructed by AutoZone the bank said No account was Available to credit so it was sent back to AutoZone and now AutoZone says it's at the bank, bank faxed me a document stating the credit was not accepted and returned to AutoZone. Now AutoZone won't give me my money back and say there's nothing they can do about it. They're unable to change the return payment information. So I have the rest of the wrong parts that I can now return to the store to not receive any of my money back. I feel like this is theft. So now this auto mechanic and car enthusiast is going to Napa or O’rileys for all my auto part needs from Now on.
Such amazing staff . went in there today after my windshield wiper blade tore up all of a sudden after only having it a few months. The amazing manager just gave me a replacement one because he said it never should have tore up like it did ! He gave me so much faith in our small town . he had no idea that he was such a blessing to me because getting the windshield wiper ment i would only have $5. Left for gas to make it to work all week long.really restored my faith in our town. Will always go to them and recommend them to anyone
Kathy helped us tonight at 11 920 about 8 and she was awesome check their batteries checked our alternator and her and her manager give a great deal on a battery because of the commercial was closed and we have a commercial, yes Superior Auto Body spiritually just awesome thanks to Kathy and her manager thank you
I have been calling them all morning. No answer. Seymour AutoZone answers immediately every time I ever call. They show scottsburg AutoZone has a part I need. I'm calling to verify before I waste my gas driving down there and no answer. I called repeatedly for over an half hour. I have better things to do then be treated rudely by people whom can't take the time to answer a phone or even put someone on hold. I have never been treated thus by any AutoZone. Scottsburg AutoZone is discourteous.
Absolutely WORST customer service I've ever witnessed in my life!!! You know what keeps your business thriving??? CUSTOMERS!!! I was just there today with a friend, he paid with a one hundred dollar bill and YANCY said it was fake. We'd just come from the bank and immediately returned to the bank. The bank checked it out every way possible. As soon as we get to his house, the police are there!!!! What an absolute ridiculous way to treat hard working people!!!

Help me out with a crazy used van I got for my girl to travel with.
Alternator went out. They tested it to make sure that was the problem.
Then found out the engine didn't match the year make and model of van.
so we had an unknown engine at the time and a van that we knew nothing about.
They ran the VIN to specify the van body.
Then a tech person turned around and id'd the alternator to the right engine make.
After two days of craziness. The van was back on the road.

I can speak volume about the people who work here. My van alternator went out on us on Tuesday afternoon we went to AutoZone the manager there female look it up sound is the part we needed that it ordered and gave me a call and let me know it came in why hasn't showed up pick it up got it back to her van if it's try to put it in find out it wasn't patible so we go back and German are houses found the found out we need an adapter awesome whitbeck try this again well my husband got the alternator out wake up with a new one in and totally two separate ones Zoey go back in time they're already closed and so they told my husband cut back in the morning when they would have a specialist there to help us figure out what the problem is my husband showed up specialist will there be between the two of them they figured out I had a whole different engine in my vehicle so the information from the bed and everything did not match they were able to find my right alternator I haven't got it back but it in works beautifully we went back up there the guy check came out check the alternator checked the batteries battery was good and says you're safe to go we could not have found a better group of people who was so willing to help us out the gentleman even put spray on my way to wiper motor wheels so my wipers would work better these people went out of the way I could not recommend them as much as I would thank you
Overall, this store does well. As with any of these stores, the level of advice offered depends on the person giving the advice. Some are experienced, some are not so much, so if you have automotive questions, seek out the more experienced ones. Service is friendly. Good value on parts, not so much usually on fluids,oil and antifreeze. If you need these, might consider Wal-Mart. I visit this store often and found no reason not to return for parts.
We stopped at this store while traveling from Florida to Illinois for new wipers. First, we were never offered the $10 off special on Bosch wipers. He sold us two Bosch wipers. He installed them leaving fragments of plastic on the car. When we washed the windshield atiyr next gas stop, one if the wipers fell off. When the young man was installing them, he discovered that one of the wipers was in the wrong package. He went in to get a new one of the right size and came back out saying that he wouldn't charge us more for this brand. He implied that he was substituting a better wiper.
After one wiper fell off, we stopped at another AutoZone further north in Indiana. The manager at the second store spent a lot of time helping us and told us that the wipers were the wrong size, that one fell off because it was improperly installed, and worse yet, that our substitute wiper was not what we paid for. we were given a " house brand" wiper instead of the Bosch we paid for!
I would NEVER go back to this AutoZone location!
Incredibly helpful staff. We realize that are windshield wipers weren't working on the way to Iowa, and stop by to pick up some new ones. The staff helped us install it with absolutely no complaint, and we're incredibly friendly along the way.
