This is the go to spot for me for decades. My many cars go back to 1998 to 2020 cars/trucks for Hondas and Chevys. The staff is a great help and all my parts have always matched without a return.
I needed a rim for my vehicle and I was referred by my father. I called and the associate, David, was very helpful from start to finish. He referred me to tire shop around the corner that put my tire on the rim for less than nothing. Northlake was very patient and knowledgeable. The customer service is top notch and is very helpful!! Went to Northlake Auto Recycling yesterday to pick up a complete leather interior seating outfit for our 2020 Envision. We make the 4 1/2 hour drive from Ohio to get there. The seats were all pulled and ready for our inspection in advance. The business is very clean and tidy. Service staff was very friendly and helpful. The seats were exactly as they were described and in excellent shape. We left with exactly what we were looking for. Well done NAR and thank you!
I went to buy a Haolgen Bulb and David came out to make sure it was the exact match n it was but he noticed the headlight wasnt connected all the way and i didn’t need an new headlight fixture!

Everyone was sooo helpful! They had the part I needed and the customer service on the phone and in person was fast, friendly, and affordable . The kicker of this experience was how extremely clean it was for Auto Parts Establishment….wow! Literally museum clean! The gentleman are very chivalrous and that’s never dead. Very nice facility. I called to have a cylinder head pulled off and not only did they take it off but they made sure it was nice and clean and they also checked the part and gave me the opportunity to check the part before I agreed to purchase it. I called them and had them pulled apart for me and they said they would hold it for me until I got there to pick it up. I couldn't make it for a few days after they pulled the part and they true to the word held it for me. It is extremely important to me to do business with companies that stick to their word. I am extremely satisfied with my business dealings with them and will continue in the near future. I highly recommend anybody that wants a really good price on a high quality used part to give them a try.
We called for availability and we were given a great price. When we showed up the party was in great shape. Everything was with it, screws, foam padding, basically all of the tiny bits were included.
In been too many used parts outlets and this one is the best.
Spoke to Paul regarding a Hyundai rear door. He told me to come down to pay for it and it would be about 30-40 to pull the part once I arrived. Asked if I could pay for it over the phone so they could pull it and not have to wait. He said could not take payment over the phone so I told him I would come down from downtown Chicago.
Well when I arrived Paul had the door already pulled and waiting for me!!!!!!! What a surprise. Great customer service.

I purchased a bumper assembly for an Explorer ST. I couldn't find one local in Southern IN as complete as Northlake's and after speaking with Paul, looking at the pictures that were sent to me and the questioned that were answered, I decided to make the 250 mile trip. I'm glad I did. Upon arrival, they had two assemblies tgat had been cleaned up on display for me to inspect, and take the one of my choosing. I left happy and feeling like I mattered as a customer from the entire staff.

Lied to us on the phone. Had us drive out from 30 mins. Then said we gave the wrong information but when I asked to buy the part that we discussed on the phone, they would not sell it to me. They just kept saying I ordered the wrong part but I told them I wanted to buy the part whatever it was that was. All 3 Employees lied. So easy like they do it all day long. I’ve never entered a more un spiritual atmosphere in my life.
Today was my second visit here and both times i came everyone was very nice and helpful. They made sure i had the correct parts i needed and the pricing was affordable as well. I will continue to shop with them when needed and refer them to others as well.
This place is AWESOME!
They treat you great and were the least expensive place BY FAR in the area for tires.

My experience was nothing short of great. I called ahead of time to see if they had the spare tire I needed and they did; not to mention, it was OE too, at a good price too . The guy was nice enough to take my old spare due to dumping tires is illegal and I didn't know what to do.
I was referred to Northlake Auto recycling by a Michigan used auto parts store when they found the part I needed on car-parts.com. I called and spoke to Paul. He said he would have the Chrysler 300 screen pulled, and if I drive the 80 miles, I can test it in my car to make sure it worked before buying it.
He called me the next morning and sent a photo to show its condition. I decided to make the drive since it is hard to find one that is not fully delaminated. Before and during the sale, Paul wanted to be sure I could do as much testing as possible to not have to drive back from Michigan.
Upon arrival, this is the best business sales floor I have ever seen! It is REMARKABLE! The entire office is tactfully decorated with unique antiques, collector items, AND it is super clean!
I noticed ALL employees were very friendly, knowledgeable, and just like Paul, went out of their way to help me! I was able to test the radio, received help on how to access the security code, and even borrowed a screwdriver to finish the install. While waiting for the security code, I appreciated hearing the employees speak in English and Spanish to help all the customers coming in.
I 100% will refer people to this auto recycle business. Thanks Northlake!
Salesman was rude and seemed sort of ignorant. According to the website I looked at, they had multiple vehicles of different years that have the part I need. So I gave him the year range that had that part, and he interrupted me with a rude tone asking what year mine was. Could've just put any year in the range I gave him.
Then asks my location, then says "And you're willing to drive down and get it?" Yes. It's a bumper for a 10 year old vehicle, why would I pay more for the shipping than the bumper? Guy seemed like he might not know what he's doing, which would be fine if he hadn't interrupted me with a rude tone.
From the other reviews, I see that multiple people have had problems with a rude salesman. If one person says a guy is rude, maybe it's a bad interaction. If 5 people say a guy is rude, the guy is probably rude.
REPLY: Yes, I have reviewed 8 places total. 4 of which mentioned rude people, yours and 3 other businesses. Please go and look at any of the other 3s one star reviews. They look a lot like yours, with plenty of other people calling out rudeness. I see your employees get it honest. I tell people of good places by word of mouth, and business cards. I show my appreciation at the time of good service with tips. No one is reading through 5 star reviews on Google, they read the 1 stars to know if they should avoid doing business with them. I personally wouldn't have even called you if I had googled you and looked at the reviews, but I didn't. I got your number directly from a website. Also, absolutely hilarious the the "owner" has enough time to troll through reviewers other reviews. You must be an absolute joy to work for.

I am very happy that NAR an engine I needed for a customer here in Fort Wayne. It was a 3 hour drive but it was worth it. The engine was in great shape with only 83,000 miles on it and it looked as though it had been cleaned up when it was pulled. I truly appreciate that the main wire harness and the pigtails were all intact and in great condition. The engine was loaded into the shop truck by a very nice NAR employee who assisted with getting it secured for the 3 hour trip home. I have never seen a better maintained, clean, organized and professional salvage yard in my life! My only complaint is that I wish they were closer to me! Thanks NAR!

I recently purchased a transmission, axle and hub assembly from Northlake Auto Recyclers. Their staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Picked up 2012 Ford Focus mirror assembly earlier today and it was in perfect condition. The customer service was fantastic too and Brian was a huge help. He was very knowledgeable on the parts and answered every question I had. They also had great prices and a awesome location. I suggest anyone whose looking for any car part, no matter the vehicle, to go here. They will have anything you need all in one location.
