We are vacationing in the area from Wisconsin. Car broke down and we called John. What a great guy and wonderdul service. Gave us and our car a ride to the Ford dealership garage to be fixed. Put a damper on our vacation time but he made us smile and laugh. Some how making it better. Thanks for your great service John.

John Black towing is top notch! We were lake bound late on a Friday afternoon! Had some boat trailer issues that resulted in us having to have it towed via flat bed. After calling John he was there within 30-40 minutes, as he stated over the phone. He pulled up and explained everything he was going to have to do, kept the busy road way safe for not only us but passerby’s, and had so much care for the boat and trailer to prevent any further damage. He was so respectful and easy to talk with! Beyond thankful for him and his positive attitude in a semi tense situation that we had on hand. Would recommend to anyone and would use him again if ever needed! Thanks John! Much appreciated! 😁
I was driving a rental car that was electric. It died on me on the side of the highway. I gave John Black towing a phone call and they were to me in 10 minutes. They got me to my destination safe and my car is safe as well. Really nice kind of people. 😊 highly recommended
Late Friday night and the minivan died coming back from Cincinnati. Pretty nervous about leaving it on the side of the road. Chose John Black towing because they were the only ones in the area that could do a Saturday tow - plus they have great reviews. I was not disappointed! John assured us they would pick up the minivan and take it to our repair shop in Oxford right away. Super nice, capable and honest. Highly recommend!
I hired this company to pickup a project truck, crew cab dually, 45 miles away. The owner's son hauled it and he was very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I was so thankful for John Black Towing! I blew out a tire near Harrison. I’m from out of town and unfamiliar with the area. Upon calling, they reassured me everything was going to be okay. They dispatched right away. They recommended a few tire stores to call to see if they had my tire size in stock while I waited. Very friendly and helpful. Should you ever need a tow, give them a call!
Once I scheduled a tow of my disabled vehicle for service, I was contacted earlier the same day in order to take advantage of an earlier time that was made available. Driver was helpful in removing car from garage & did a great job in putting vehicle on flat bed & drop off @ destination. Would reach out to them for this service again.
I unfortunatly hit something this past Thursday evening as I was traveling for work out of town. Someone at the gas station recommended John Black Towing, and he was kind enough to come to the location 45 minutes away tow my car to the nearest dealership. John was extremely friendly and kind! John was wonderful and went out of the way to tow my mother and I. Our car broke down and no one else wanted to help us. He drove us all the way to our hotel in the AM hours. The prices were very reasonable too especially considering the urgency and situation.

My car had gotten picked up by them over night from someone stealing it and driving it drunk. When I went to pick it up the tow driver helped me and was very nice. So nice I almost asked for his number (so if anybody happens to get the guys name let me know so I can look him up haha). They understood my situation and was sympathetic and even looked to see the damage the guy who took it caused and offered help and showed me where I could go to get it looked at. Even offered to come help me out if I get stuck on my 45 min drive home. If I were to ever need a towing company I would be calling them.
I am from Richmond IN on my way to Kentucky while on 275 s I got a flat tire, I called John Black 24/7 towing and the woman on the other side of that phone was heaven sent! I was on the side of the road waiting on my insurance company to find me something and it was almost 11am when I called John Black 24/7 towing! The woman told me to call my insurance and give them her # after that she proceeded to send me #’s of tire shops in the area because my tire is kind of rare! Within an hour her driver was their to get me and my car! He was the most polite young man I had ever met!! If I could give them 10 stars I would! I’m grateful for this company and their humble hearts!
Im impressed with their service. I called this morning needing a tow, first company I called, said couldnt do it this week, 2nd company i called didnt answer. I nice lady answered on the 3rd ring, you could tell she was busy doing other things but still took my call. Got the tow setup and they were at my house quickly. The tow truck driver was one of the nicest guys. Great service all around. Thanks for coming through for me in the clutch!
I got a suv towed here, and because the title wasn't in my name, even though I could prove we paid for and own the vehicle, and the cops were willing to let me retrieve my items, they refused, all over I guess an issue with the title. Trying to get a new title for it isn't possible right now because of the covid19 outbreak causing the bmv to close for anything but commercial vehicles.
Long story short, even after the police leiutenant from Harrison and told them they could give me my items, but had to keep the car until I have the title fixed, they refused, saying "it's not the police departments decision, it's ours, and we're not allowing it".... I didn't care about the car. Just a very, very sentimental coat of my fiancee's, which was her dead grandfather's coat from serving for the United States, a car seat to my only daughter that was very much needed and used daily, and my brand new phone that I just paid 229.99 for, and my keys, all of which the tow truck driver could've got for me before towing, as the officer who had it towed was allowing him.
We were even willing to pay their outrageous $190.00 fee to retrieve the property, and took a loan to get that as finances are tough with covid19. Instead of having a heart, and just letting me get my items and gladly pay them for them, they were rude, unwilling, and, honestly, cold-hearted about everything.
I had used them for personal tows two times in the past, and had not had a complaint. NOW, I SEE THEM FOR WHAT THEY REALLY ARE... A GREEDY, HATEFUL company who doesn't care or want to help someone struggling, as long as they can make some money. ITS NOT LIKE THEY COULD GET IN TROUBLE FOR ALLOWING ME TO RETRIEVE THE ITEMS I CAN PROVE I OWN IN THE VEHICLE, especially the sentimental ones that are worthless to them, but everything to us...
I needed a car towed to a repair shop and had John Black Towing do the job. He arrived for the car within 10 minutes of calling! The driver John and the dispatcher were very friendly. The cost seemed reasonable.
Broke down yesterday and they helped get my car to the shop. John Jr. was dispatched and was extremely professional. He was very conscientious about making sure the car was dropped gently and was upbeat and conversational during our ride to the shop. Very satisfied with the service provided

Hi I was driving home from Cincinnati on 74 to Chicago, got a flat dealt with triple A for a tow to a tire shop 90 miles away. John Black was professional, kind , and easy going at a time that could always have been a lot worse. I actually had a wonderful time driving to the destination and we spoke about his family owned business and his commitment to providing services to his customers that is ethical and respectful of the people who need his services. He has a small fleet of tow trucks. My car was handled with the utmost of care on a beautiful new Peterbilt Tow Truck with a flat bed and automated/ manual lifts and hooks. His cab was impeccable- Mr. Black has pride and is transparent about the breakdown of his price. I wish he had a location in Chicago where I am from.

John Black Towing is a great company! I was stranded on the side of the highway when my transmission went out. They came to help me quickly and took my car to a shop that would help fix it. The people were great to talk to and very friendly! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
