Can’t say enough good things about Michael, I was driving down 70 when we had car troubles, they informed me that they didn’t have anyone that was available to tow my vehicle but came out and tried to see if it was something he could fix roadside. Didn’t workout but the fact that he came out looked at it was honest about the fix and where he thought would be best to get fixed.
Looks out for you not just his business, that’s hard to find these days!
The most disrespectful shop i have ever seen, the operators don't appreciate the people who call them and hang up. I don't recommend this shop to anyone
Excellent service, very quick respond, technician was very knowledgeable and was able to fix our problem on the spot. very fair priced also!, will definitely recommend these guys and will not hesitate to call them again if we ever need another RS in that area
Great service for a cheap price. Front desk clerk has a really sassy rude attitude. She seemed a bit challenged technology-wise. She seemed to not know what cash app is and it took her a whole 20 minutes to print a receipt and I was the only customer there. A bad attitude on top of that. Wont be back, im sure
Drove to Brazil to pick up wedding decor with my fiancé. Was at Pilot Truck Stop when her car randomly locked us out with the keys in the ignition. Called Poor Boys and they were quick to respond. I never caught the service call guy's name, but he was awesome and super helpful! Not only did he help us get back in the car, but he also helped us find the car number code. Definitely recommend these guys!
The company was very quick to pick us up. Very accommodating. Not only did they tow our truck home but also gave my family a lift home too! Highly recommend. They were also affordable.

Towed my 97 36' school bus 45mins for $450. In reality it took about 1h10m, between maneuvering, setting up the tow, and the drop off. Low price, okay service in transit.
Now for the bad part. The owner himself did the tow, and was not overly professional. Additionally, while the tow went great, at the end he decided, instead of getting down under the bus, he'd lift the bus ridiculously high to undo the tow hitch.
This action not only risked damage to nearby objects and the bus, but was entirely unnecessary. My bus' exhaust pipe is permanently damaged, and will need to be rerounded, unbent, and unclogged from the dirt before it can be run again. I won't be surprised if I find more damage when I go to fix the exhaust.
Needed dragged out of a hole. No complaints on a Saturday. The operator was skilled and knew what he was doing. Better give them a 5 star or they will text you repetitively after a 4 star. Better now!
I wish I could give a zero star these guy’s messed up my truck gave my truck for clutch replacement ended up getting new transmission and clutch gave my truck in running condition they putted new clutch and messed up something and afterwards truck wont start and there answer to that problem was we don’t what happened to your truck zero diesel mechanical knowledge the tore down my truck at the end i had to tow my truck to a different shop and fixed up there and the owner didn’t paid for the mess he created.At the end i wanna say to all the truckers out there go to any other shop around the area but don’t come here. They gonna rip you off!!!

I really appreciate these guys . I will be honest with you guys, they have the best mechanic here in this area. The guy came in so quick when we had emergency issue. He did not even charge for inspection and road side service . It is rear to find these kind of honest mechanics, trust me .
Had a problem with our truck on our cross country road trip today. Our dispatcher contacted Poor BoysTruck Repair & Towing to assist us. Our driver got us hooked up in a few minutes, towed us 20 miles to the nearest dealer and kept us and our dogs safe. Recommend them highly. Very courteous and professional. Thank you guys so much!!
This company will quote one price then after they do the work they charge almost double the quoted price and hold your equipment hostage. I would be very careful if you ever try to hire them. The owner claims it was just a temporary fix to get the truck off the highway instead of having to tow it. But that is not what he said when going over what the truck needed. He told me on the phone it was no big problem just making the repairs on the side of the highway. He claimed it was an easy repair. Then the next morning he changed everything he said and tried to rip us off. They attached high pressure airline to the truck with zip ties and not bolts. It was a total Jerry Rig job.
I would NEVER call anyone else for help in the area! I just wish they were in MY hometown! Long story short…we broke down on the highway while towing our camper. The car just turned off. Tom not only scooped us up, he ensured he parked us somewhere safe! My husband had to change out the alternator in the middle of a parking lot. Tom made sure he parked us somewhere with some shade and even offered to have someone come help with the repair. He was extremely kind and helpful! In a world that is seriously lacking customer service skills, Tom at Poor Boy Truck Repair and Towing was a breath of fresh air!! Thank you, Tom!!
Brought a tire in to replace the valve stem from our travel trailer on our way out of town. Thankful for that, but didn’t make 75 miles before our tire-minder alerted to a leak. While checking it the valve stem they just replaced is leaking. Now we have to pay twice for this tire to be repaired.
Axle nut backed off and wheel seal burned up because of it. They got to me in a timely fashion, did the job in a good time, and the bill was very fair. No nonsense. I’d definitely recommend them to others, especially the head mechanic of their operation.
Stopped in to get a tire fixed, they got me right in and going in no time, office staff was nice and shop guys were great, met the owner. He was a top notch guy, glad to know they are there since i run up that way sometimes and if i have trouble i know where to go!!
They were able to assist me.
I did not get the name of the gentleman that was "in charge", there was 2 of them. The one that was short and round had some kind of speaking issue and would not stay still long enough to get the correct info. Almost made me miss my next load (over $750) because they wouldn't release me. Having the company I'm leased to info, the company that was in charge of the construction site info AND it being a city construction site. They hold the driver accountable for payment!!! I understand the importance of a small business needing to be paid. I also believe in using common sense. Then, they charge a service fee for using a credit card.
This shop treated me and my equipment excellent. I lost my driveshaft and took out an airbag and these guys were there SUPER-FAST and got me towed into their shop with my loaded trailer and took care of me!! Thank you for helping to get me back on the road in BETTER SHAPE THAN I CAME IN!!
Dont visit this service they dont now what to do .On 2/6/25 they replacement inner seal on drive wheel with hummer , after 2 days seal start leaking so I need next repair no even try use this service dirt dirt they dont clean eny parts of wheel from oil I use my own brake cleaner because they dont have it 00000 stars avoid this service
Had a great experience with this company. They helped me when I had a pretty massive trailer failure and got my stuff back to my house safe and sound. They certainly went above and beyond what I would consider expected service. They are very friendly and real pros in the tow game. Keep up the good work!
I'm out of Georgia and the other night headed back South with my Back load my oil pan took a dump South of Terre Haute around 1930 hrs. I was dead in the water. Poor Boys came and towed me back to their shop. The next morning they jumped on the job and had me ready to roll by 11 am. I do highly recommend them if you break down anywhere around the Terre Haute area. I was probably 50 miles South of Terre Haute myself at the time.
Came here because I’d sleep near by and the name fitted my description of my self image .
Had my drive tire replaced , although recapped .. poor people like me can’t be picky . The brother that was changing my tire reminded me of john bernthnal from the 2014 movie “ fury “ , great man he was .. even showed me his truck that he’d recently purchased . I was in & out within 30 minutes .

Tom and his guys were great help. Boat trailer bearings went out these guys jumped on it and got me back on the road. I was passing through headed to Oklahoma. They saved me time and money! Very lucky to find these guys everyone else said they didn’t work on boat trailers or were two weeks out. Poor boys had me back on the road in three hours.
Doesn’t get better than these guys . Professional as it gets . My dad and I are car haulers with an older truck . Top ramp above the hood broke off with a car on it . Gave them a call . They came right away and got to work . Was out of there within a couple of hours . Thanks fellas . Allowed us to get home right before thanksgiving
