Majid [Mike] Zojaji is being misunderstood by some of the used car buyers .Because they don't truly understand what it means to buy a used car.I have been working on cars since 1977 after I got out of the Marines. And from time to time I've had to increase my knowledge of newer vehicles and their changes .So let me share what I know ,when a person set out to buy a used vehicle....he or she is actually buying some one else problem, that is the reason someone got rid of that vehicle. .Sometimes these problems are small, because the person cared for that Car, Suv or Truck and there is other times. they the seller, are getting rid of their troubles an undercared for vehicle.Thats not the used car dealer problem, his only job is to buy and sell.We the consumer need to understand these are not brand new from the factory vehicles. So ,we needed to be prepare to take on the problem of the car,suv or truck we set our hearts and minds on to buy. No one force the money out of your pocket or purse,,,that your decision. So try 4 things and believe me you will be better off when purchasing a used vehicle.[1] if you see something you want ,but you also see it's more than what you are willing to deal with...its a Car Lot.. look some else more to your liking and lower your expectation because they are USED.[2]Always buy within your means having at least $500 to $1000 to bring your choice up to pare and title tranfer and the plates money. [3] test drive it,and once you decide to get it. Change the oil and tranmission fluid as soon as possible.these will be the 2 largest problems ,if they have been neglected.[4] Most important [ DO NOT BLAME THE CAR LOT OWNER FOR YOUR CHOICE,YOU COULD HAVE CHOSEN SOMETHING ELSE ]we human do have the ability not to be stubborn or so pride filled and blame others for our choice and mistakes .I'll be the first to admit because of our built-in self protecting mechanism called PRIDE ,we will find it to be hard ,but believe you me, it can be done .You will be happier ,if only you try. Mike is ok .. but a person has to open their ears and make up their minds to unharden your heart and ask questions and do, ,yes do,, listen to the answers he is educating you to.You will have an excellent experience in buying your new USED vehicle!!! P.S I bought a 2010 Chevy Traverse needing a tune up,brakes all way around and a control arm, inner and outer tie rods oil change transmisioon fluid change.stabilizing bar and ball joint, driver side .Is all the vehicle like that.. NO...But this is what I wanted and I chose to purchase.AND STILL I Give 5 STARS. JUST SHOP AT THE USED CAR LOT, THE WAY YOU SHOP, AT ANY OTHER STORE.You will be surprise how easy it becomes.

I absolutely love my 2013 Ford Taurus SHO!!! I named her Faucheaux (pronounced foe show); she’s my baby & I love everything about her. I highly recommend this place; Mike went out of his way to help us get the car we wanted & even stayed past closing hours to get our paperwork filled out. I would definitely do business with him again!!!

On 07/31/2024, I went to go look at a BMW that they had in their lot. the way it was shown on autotrader looked WAYYY different than it did in person. My boyfriend and I were very disappointed but we looked at the other cars they had. Every single one of those cars have a problem; whether its a light on the dashboard that is on, its lit up like a christmas tree, chipping on the paint, scratches, etc etc. The guys name started with a M but we didnt get his name. Things were cool until he started asking questions about our personal lives. Certain questions he was asking did not even have anything to do with the information that was needed when purchasing a car. Another thing that struck me was he told us he only takes cash, not card or checks or anything else, just cash. My boyfriend and I went to go get cash and when we came back, he looked at us and just sat in his chair. Didnt say anything, just looked at us until we gave him the money. That was very unprofessional and i dont know how a owner of a car dealership treat his customers like that. My boyfriend and I pushed those questions aside that he was asking and gave him the money for the down payment. He gave us a paper for the references and stuff, i have never seen a dealership need 6 references just to lease a car. We did not sign any papers or anything, just filled out an credit application with those references. when my boyfriend and i left, we decided we did not want to do business with him anymore due to his behavior and the lack of quality of cars. my boyfriend went back to ask the man for our money back. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE !!! The man refused to give us our money back. He and my boyfriend got into a screaming match and my boyfriend was recording THE ENTIRE TIME !! As my boyfriend is recording, this man is being aggressive towards him, inching towards him when my boyfriend told him to back up several times. this man accused my boyfriend of being a con artist. thats crazy. The man calls the police on us which was fine because we didnt do anything wrong. The police arrives and we give our story to a male police officer. A female officer shows up and rushes inside to talk to the man. he gives them FALSE information. he told the officer that we were in contact for a couple days when that was NOT true, we scheduled to come look at the car at 2:00 on 07/31. WE HAVE VIDEOS AND PROOF OF EVERYTHING THIS MAN SAID AND HAS DONE. Police did absolutely nothing. i dont understand how the police let him get away with what hes done, not just to us but to other people. man is absolutely crazy and unprofessional. he should be ashamed of himself with how he does business. I dont understand how you call yourself a businessman when the way you talk to customers is disrespectful. I would NEVER could NEVER recommend this place to ANYBODY !

This place definitely will get you in the car you want and deserve. I was referred to go see Mike and I'm so glad I did. Went test drove the cars I wanted with ease, filled out paperwork, and on the road I was the very same day! Mike listened to what I wanted, my concerns, what I could afford and put me in the car I wanted with the payment I could afford. I definitely recommend you to go to NEW HAVEN AUTO LIQUIDATION CENTER

Came here 15 years ago. Surprised they’re still operating. It took the Honda mechanics 8 hours to do a diagnostic TEST on a 99 accord which after all the waiting they wouldn’t even work on it because of how rigged up the engine was. I was 16 then and knew nothing about cars. Horrible first care experience.

Horrible didn't give any break on price 3400 car lasted a year and I had to fix it over and over. Going to this place was a huge mistake should of went somewhere else. I just read these other reviews I had the exact same experience with this guy, he should be out of business quite literally taking advantage of hard working Americans in this economy. Literally sickened.

This happened a little over a year ago.... I gave my daughter and her boyfriend $2500 for a car. They chose this place to get the car big mistake huge mistake. They put $2,500 down and plan to make payments on the rest. After giving the man the money and taking the car the next day he demanded the car back then wouldn't give us the money back. I had to pay the car off in full that day to take the car or I would have to go to small Kingsport to get my money back. The police couldn't do anything do not go here

It started out a great experience in the beginning and went completely left after an hour of 45 minutes of waiting . I was kind, calm, polite, and interested in getting a vehicle. The owner was short and rude with me when it came to me, asking questions that I didn’t understand and wanted clarity on. I was going to trade in my vehicle for the vehicle that he was selling. He showed and told me that you have to put $100 down to secure the vehicle along with my car being the down payment. I didn’t understand why I had to pay $100 to secure the vehicle according to his policy if my car was being used as a down payment, and on top of it The air conditioning did not work. I asked him since the air conditioning had to be fixed anyway and he was going to get it fixed, why do I need to secure the vehicle? this was a Wednesday I was there I said, can I bring the down payment Friday morning which I planned on doing then he acted like he got offended that I asked such a question . He refused to answer any more of my questions, and I was told if I kept asking questions, he would refuse to sell to me and after I sat patiently waiting an hour and 45 minutes after my appointment time didn’t complain not once. I even said I was going to try to see if I could get a relative to send me the hundred dollars to hold the vehicle anyway, but it did not work out that way and the way he talk to me really discouraged me from doing business with him. I turned around and went somewhere else and had the best service from the time I walked through the door to the time I left, and when I explained my experience, they knew who exactly I was talking about. The owner needs to learn how to talk to people without becoming rude and obnoxious unnecessarily. Common courtesy goes a long way, and when you treat people any kind away, you lose business, you don’t have to worry about refusing me business I took my business where God knew somebody was going to treat his daughter and God and said yes, and he sent me to someone who talk to me and answered every question, with the upmost respect. Shop here at your own risk beware.!!!!!

Had a great experience with Mike at Auto Liquidation Center!!! I got a great car for a great price and I enjoyed dealing with him. He was very busy when I came in to test drive but still took his time to answer all my questions and I didn't feel rushed or pressured. Thank you!!

Mike was amazing to work with. This is my second time buying a can from him and he's always been straightforward and fair. Offered to come in early and stay late to help me with my busy schedule to come in for paperwork. Definitely recommend this lot. Thanks Mike for another great van!!

DON'T BUY A CAR FROM MIKE!! This dealership is shady all around. The car I wanted was above KBB value price, so I asked him if he could lower the price at all. After a lot of negotiation he said he could come down $200-300, but I also wanted him to look into a check engine light. He ended up only taking $100 off because he had to deal with the check engine light, so it was still above KBB value (who tries to sell a car with a check engine light on?). I should've learned from this and ran. When I test drove it, it pulled to the side a little and I expressed my concern, but Mike blamed it on low tire pressure and a sloped road. Turns out several weeks after I get the car that it is still pulling when accelerating and there are bigger reasons behind it. He sold the car as if it was in absolutely perfect condition saying there was only some cosmetic issues when there was a lot more under the surface that I think he knew about and just decided to try to hide! The free "warranty" that he gives is worthless and when I called him to try to figure something out he just got super defensive and said it wasn't fair that I was making these claims and that I just shouldn't have bought the car when really I just took his word for it that inflating a tire would fix my issues. He offered to have it fixed for cheaper than a normal mechanic, but I am not sure why I should be paying any more at all since he sold it to me in bad condition. At this point, I don't trust him and won't even go back to get things fixed because I think he'll just do whatever he can to shut me up. He also wasn't going to give me my title the night I bought it even though I paid in full, what a joke!! Not a good dealership to work with and very untrustworthy. If you want a decent car for a good price, go somewhere else. Mike will lie to your face about cars, he won't negotiate at all even if his price is too high, and if there are issues down the road the warranty he gives out won't do you any good! Please just stay away, I didn't listen to the bad reviews and gave him a chance and I got burned too.

Very bad service, at first he seems nice, then starts asking to many questions about your personal life. & definitely judges off how you look! My husband got of work we went together he still was in his work clothes, and you can definitely tell the way he was talking to us and asking questions that we probably couldn’t afford his car, I highly don’t recommend this trash place.

Upon getting this vehicle I had one perception of Mike. After getting the vehicle initially. The headlights didn't work. This was what was supposed to be done before I picked vehicle up. When I contacted Mike he had the issue "fixed". I met up to make one of my original 500 dollar agreement payments, and I had my card. He tells me he doesn't except card payments. He grabbed his handheld credit card machine and said he would this time but in the future money order or check only. Come the next week my car shuts down on me while driving. With the next payment on me and taking care of bills I contacted Mike informing him of the break down and I was awaiting tow truck. After finding out it was the alternator he then has it towed to a guy he knew and tells the guy to not give me my car because I'm behind on payments. When I contact Mike we have an exchange because he saying a payment was missed on the exact day I paid him with my card. So I show him where it came out of my account, and he tells me I can't have the vehicle back because of my attitude. You would be mad too if you had to miss work due to an error on the owners side. It isn't my fault you are not up to date enough to except cards and had not input payment into computer. From that point forward. I swallowed my pride and apologized. Since then his system kept me behind so I have to deal with him trying to tell me , or even people I send in to make my payments my business. My life, my money situation.. he called my apartment complex and she could testify to all the information he gave, and asked inappropriately. Im 8 months pregnant at this point coming up on 2 years of having the car. I send my son to make payment, and Mike refuses to give him a receipt. Stating for my son to show proof of insurance. So I show up with my phone on record just in case. I ask why he didn't give my son a receipt. He states because of proof of insurance. I ask why he didn't call insurance company directly he says they didn't answer... I explain that when you are paid something you are obligated to give a receipt back. He gets hostile. I refuse to leave without receipt. He calls police. Start yelling and talking to them out the side of his neck. They apologize to me and tells me he was banning me from the property... I send my friend together a receipt the next day he gets banned. He states during another recording that anyone who comes up there on my behalf he will banning.. so how do you expect to receive payment and you have all these stipulations. Payment due Saturday he comes and takes my car while I'm at work.... I didn't care at these point having the vehicle is chaotic and toxic. Yet now im 9 months pregnant and he has all my items wallet, etc everything and going on 4 days and says he sent me a list from his attorneyand it has a date I can pick it up.... I kept detailed record, including recordings. So I hope at this point he realizes what position he is putting a pregnant woman in.

Mike is awesome to deal with!!! Yes he is very straight and to the point. But he is fair and he is honest! I would recommend anyone to go here for a nice, quality car or truck. Honesty and quality are the best words to describe Mike and Auto Liquidation!!

We bought a 2012 Fiat 500 from here about a month ago. I read the reviews before purchasing, but thought we wouldn't encounter all the problems other customers have had, but I was wrong. I'll be breaking down our experience into two parts. The salesman: I don't think we ever got his name, but I'm pretty sure he is the owner. We expressed interest in two cars and he kindly provided the keys for us and gave us time to inspect and test drive. We decided to go with the Fiat. We could only wait until he was free from the other customers as there are no other employees. When he eventually got back to us, I expressed our interest and gave an offer of $4500 OTD on the sticker price of $4900, expecting to negotiate upwards. I knew this car had been on the lot for over a year and had a few minor issues. He scoffed and asked "Why should I pay your sales tax if you don't pay my property tax? I can't go down on this price at all." I wish I took this red flag at face value, but we thought it was still a nice enough vehicle and were willing to pay full price up front. He brought us in to do paperwork and was very attentive, up until we signed the document obligating us to pay for the vehicle. He knew he was legally entitled to our money at this point, and started tending to other customers. He would give us some new paperwork to sign, deal with something else, and, after 15 minutes, come back and give us some more paperwork. At this point, 4 hours had passed since we arrived at the dealership and we were now finally able to pay, but we got stuck due to a problem of our own regarding our bank. After sorting this problem out, another hour had passed and I really just wanted leave. I asked about title and registration and told me to call in a week to check back on it. I asked about a temporary plate and he tossed me the closest one he could find, it literally had a different make and model specified on it. I asked about filling the tire that I had noticed was low on air and he obliged. After a week, I called him up to check on the title as told, and he acted like I was crazy for expecting it so soon. "I am legally allowed 30 days to transfer the title and you will have to wait until then." After 3 more weeks, I called again and told me I could get it tomorrow. So we show up ten minutes before opening at 10am. And we wait. We wait for 30 minutes and another customer shows up. We wait for 15 more minutes and another customer shows up. We can't wait any longer so we leave at 10:50am. We decided to come back the next day in the afternoon and thankfully he is there now. After waiting 15 minutes for him as he talks with his friend, he comes and greets me with, "I thought we had an appointment for yesterday." I explained that we showed up and waited for an hour. "No, that's not possible. I was there at 10:20. Maybe you waited from 9 to 10." I didn't bother arguing, just said sure. "Well I had it all ready for you yesterday, but now I put it away because I thought you weren't coming." He spent another 5 minutes digging around the piles of paper on his desk and eventually finds it tucked inside another customers folder. We finally got the title and am relieved to not have to deal with him again. The car: As mentioned, I noticed the driver's front tire was low and had him fill it up. I gave the benefit of the doubt that it was due to the seasons changing, but the tire was low again the next day. I found the leak to be caused by a failed tire repair. We had to purchase two new tires to go onto the front of the vehicle. I also noticed the hatch handle only worked sometimes, and after 2 weeks it stopped working completely. After driving it some more, the passenger side ball joint failed, requiring us to get a tow back home. The tow was supposedly part of the 90 day warranty touted with all the cars sold here, but received no response whatsoever from the roadside assistance. At this point, I also found that the spare tire kit was missing from the vehicle. None of this would bother me as much if he was just willing to negotiate the price at all.

Absolutely love Mike. He's very straight forward and he's more than willing to work with you. He's been selling my family cars for the past 20 years and I'm happy to say I got an amazing deal from him on my current one.

I bought my first BMW from Majid ten years ago and I love it! It still runs like a champ! I Bought another BMW from him a year ago and I love this one too! I noticed some people leave him a 1 star review. You can tell they’re haters. I will continue to buy from him and recommend my friends and family to visit him prior to purchasing a new vehicle from anywhere else. No other dealer does what he does in Tri-state area that I know of. I noticed his billboard says he’s been in business for over 32 years, perhaps there is a reason for this. He’s honest, doesn’t sugar anything, and has always been very helpful.

I recently bought a car from this location. They sold us a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. With about 1,500 miles that we put on it, we took it to a shop because of a "funny noise" in the engine. The entire engine needs either rebuilt or replaced. The car came with a "warranty" (90 days) and we are within the 90 days, but the warranty is basically useless as well with only covering up to $500. I would not suggest this used car sales service for anyone. They knew what they were selling and sold it to us anyway. When we try to call them to work something out, the salesman is always busy and never calls back to us.

Recently visited and i must say it has really turned around. The car selection is great and the value is even better. Mike is very easy to work with you can tell he cares about the cars on his lot they were all clean and gave me as much detail about them as possible. Highly recommend!

This man is a liar. I bought a 2006 Honda Civic ex from him asked him multiple times if it had been in a wreck and he told me no every time. Then later I found out that it had been and had to fix many problems with it like constant over heating. Then he later called me after to tell me that he was “tired of financing my car and I needed to find some other bank to finance it” (which was a breach of our contract) and when I told him no I’m not breaching contract he decided to try to have my car repoed. DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM MIKE OR JAY AT AUTO LIQUIDATION CENTER!!!!

We just bought our second vehicle from Auto Liquidation with the OWNER Mike on premises to help us with our purchase. Was helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle we purchased. Was concerned that we got the right fit for our budget. Mike takes pride to help customers make their dreams come true. You can see why Auto Liquidation has been in business for over 31 years. Thank you Mike Sincerely Joe - Missy Eveland

Horrible people.. was 4 days late on my payment and having issues with my insurance because they wanted my home deed which I don't own my home, I am renting. And when I went to make my payment Mike accepted it knowing the issues with my insurance. As I am trying to straighten thing out with my insurance Mike would not let me live out of the building then took the keys to my car so I couldn't leave which made me late picking my 6 year old daughter up front the bus stop. He also called the police on me and put me on a trespassing when I was caught up on payments and did not cursed or raise my voice at him. All this after paying for my plates and registration right before coming in and making my payment which I paid a week for a car I don't have anymore nor did he try to give me my payment for the next week back.

I was with my family when they had gotten a vehicle here almost 2 yrs ago. Do not look to buy here, unless you want to do several repairs on a car. Would give less than a star. You give them a bad rating with the truth they threaten you... "We have no record of you coming to our dealership and this seems like a competitor as it is false and libelous. I would be be happy to discuss this with you if your are legitimate but suspect that you are a competitor and will forward to our attorneys with a view to legal action."
Mar 21, 2018 -
Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had purchasing a vehicle! The owner Mike had “misplaced” our paperwork, and then proceeded to be rude to us. When the truth finally came out that he had to order a new title, he still treated us horribly and continually swore at us. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone for any reason!

One of the worst experiences buying a vehicle that I’ve ever had to deal with. I am a manager of a fueling station and know all too well about customer service and let me tell you, these people don’t have it. At all. One of the employees even engaged in a screaming match with me and successfully made me feel like less of a person because of my gender. Never will I return, nor will I let any friends or family members purchase vehicles from this location.

I bought my first nice car 23 years ago from Mike at Auto Liquidation. I bought my dream car last friday 10/7/2016. An jet black Audi S4. What a beautiful car. Mike even knocked off 5% of the interest because I am a returning customer. I never missed a payment and Mike has always treated me right. For all you haters, it isn't Mike's fault you can't make your payments!! Be a stand up person and do what you agreed to. Make your payments. Mike is a stand up guy and I will always return there to buy a car from him. I would recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from him. Brian S.

I wish there was an option to give less than one star. This is the most unprofessional and unethical business I've ever encountered. I live several hours away, so once I found the car I wanted, I called and spoke to Mike Zojaji. Let me pause here to say: Did you notice the only positive review on here is from Mrs/Ms. Zojaji??? At first Mike was pleasant, but not informative. Actually he seemed clueless. He failed to answer several of my questions (is this the original clutch? how many previous owners?) and acted like he couldn't hear me. After repeating my questions several times, he finally said he didn't know and that he got the car from Kelley Chevrolet and I would have to speak with them. Really??? I set a date to come visit anyway, and he asked for a deposit to hold the car. I told him I'd mail a $100 check. He agreed. I did some more thinking, and decided I needed to get the car inspected once I arrived. It's a 3 hour drive, so I didn't want to take the car all the way home just to find out there is a major issue. I called Mike that night, and let him know I wanted to take the car to a local dealership or mechanic to get it inspected. Here is where his attitude completely changed. He got angry and EXTREMELY rude. He told me that he would not allow that to happen, and I was wasting his time. I asked why he was so against me taking the car for an inspection, and he said, 'dealerships aren't used to looking at old cars (this was a '99 Miata) and they wouldn't help me'. I told him I would call the dealership ahead of time, arrange for this, and pay them for an inspection. He firmly said no and almost hung up. I continued prying and the more I did, the more I realized he does not stand behind his products. He claims not to know anything about the vehicle up front, and then denies my request to have this professionally inspected. I knew this deal was too good to be true. The conversation ended when he said 'I have a lot to do tonight, can I call you back?'. Fully understanding this would be the last contact we had, I said yes and hung up the phone. Needless to say, I've not heard from Mike since.
