They could have "sold," me. They didn't. I was given an honest assessment about the situation my vehicle was in, and Lonnie's opinion about said situation. He didn't pull any punches, sweet talk me, or try to shine me on. I respected and appreciated that.

Anyone looking for a honest, reliable mechanic check out Lonnie's!!! From the start beyond helpful got me right in. Came to pick up/drop off @my home. No charge, I am blown away how I was treated. What really set them off the chart was the surprise they had for me!!!! I cannot row my windows down, Rusty😁 is 21yts old to say it's hot outside is off the chart in temps when I drive my car I can bet it's over 120 in my car while driving. Lonnie tells me to get in when they delivered my car once done. To feel the air conditioner that never worked as long as I have had the car, blow ice cold air!!!!!! Like what!!!!! I was speechless and overwhelmed by the kindness and went out of their way!!!! They wouldn't take a tip, you know who isn't struggling I am thankful and humbled by the way they carried themselves, to say they cared about their customers is a understatement!! I heard through the grapevine that Lonnie was the best auto mechanic in the whole Sauk Valley area...and I found out it was true! I took my 20 year old Lincoln Town Car to his shop because it started misfiring really bad while driving back from San Antonio Texas. Lonnie gave it a complete tune up and now it runs like it was brand new! The repair cost was also very reasonable and I will definitely be back if anything ever goes wrong with ANY car I own and am recommending his shop to all my friends.

I was traveling from Chicago to the corn fields (2-3hrs each way) to pick up family to take back to the city (to a hotel, my home is in Florida) I was on 88 and suddenly I started smoking intensely, I pulled over and inspected it. Recognized it was transmission fluid (no idea where it came from) but I let my van cool down then cautiously headed to a mech in Rock Falls (4 miles)
I was basically in a panic being in an unfamiliar area with no idea what level my van just broke and being late on a Friday didn't help my panic either. I went inside and spoke to someone and they were already into a project. I proceeded to inspect my van in hopes I could at least diagnose it.
A mechanic saw me inspecting it and came out to lend his Expertise (Which I was/am so very grateful for) We spent a solid 15 mins looking at it and discussing everything that led to this problem. He ultimately tightened two of my transmission coolant lines and topped off my transmission fluid. That's where the transmission fluid came from and that allowed me to continue my journey. He left me with solid advice and the best of hopes. I am very grateful for his knowledge and the time he gave me, I can't thank him enough, regrettably I didn't get his name but he seemed as if he was the owner (I can't confirm that)
The INTEGRITY of that guy is what I look for in someone who works on my vehicles. I felt a trust while speaking with him that I don't get a lot.

I have taken my work vehicle here several times over the last 1-2 months and every time I get it back it still has issues or more issues. The last 2 times I’ve had to call them after 4-5 days of hearing nothing. Now this time he has driven it 2ce according to the secretary. Has no diagnosis and hasn’t returned my call. Im now unable to work due to no vehicle to use for my job.
I've came here a few different times for my vehicles. I like the fact they call you to tell you what is wrong before they work on it. Their service is fast. Customer service is great as well. And the price is affordable. Trustworthy shop!

Great experience. We were on a road trip to a special doctors appointment when we had trouble and we were able to come in and get repaired right away so we could get back on the road and still make our appointment!
Very affordable prices. Does what's needed without sandbagging you with unnecessary replacement parts. He was quick. It's the old style trustworthy town mechanic experience
I would not recommend Lonnie's horrible customer service. I had the phone hung up on me. I needed to get my transmission pan changed. The secretary supposedly ordered it, would not tell me where the item was purchased from, charged me more than half the purchase price from online pricing and refused to give me the gasket when they originally told me they would. Additionally they refused to give me the receipt. Horrible place of business. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!!
