Absolutely love this place! Lots of fresh deli meats & cheeses, baked goods. Quite the selection of jellies, jams, sauces & seasonings. Seevice is always so nice at the deli counter & checkout.
Best sandwiches in town! I had a roast beef panini sandwich on sourdough bread with bread and butter pickles, mayo, and mustard, and provolone cheese. It was excellent! Try one!
Edit 02/12/2025: Try the new reuben panini sandwich. Really amazing flavor combination with just the right crunch on the rye bread. Very, very good!

This place was a great find. The only reason I don't give it 10 stars is because Google won't let me. This is a grocery east of Anna, they sell a wide variety of jellies, jam, some vegetables candy and a wide range of deli meats and cheeses. There's other items as well. You can also get homemade sandwiches on a variety of breads. These are good size sandwiches. Price is $5.99 for sandwiches or $7.99 for a combos meal. You can't eat that cheap at Burger King and it's a heck of a lot better. There's limited tables in there to sit. Sandwiches are made to order it will take a few minutes for them to prepare. Go check this business out. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
I love this place. If you want some fantastic Amish produce, or absolutely devine canned goods, from pickled eggs to strawberry conserves, they have it. Great cheeses you cannot normally find in grocers, along with meats and pre-made meals. Also, last week I picked up a straight from the plant, tomato. Wow! It weighed almost 4 pounds. Tasted wonderful as well. Good job folks!
There is a lot packed into this store including dry goods, jams and jellies, pickled vegetables, dairy, meats, a deli where you can order sandwiches, and fresh baked breads and pastries. I picked up fresh ground peanut butter, jalapeno cheddar bread, cookies, pickled okra, and pickles. I definitely will come back to buy ingredients for baking. They also sell amish made outdoor wooden furniture and playsets.
Always on our list of MUST visit when we come to the area. An awesome experience with a huge amount of choices. Whether you're looking for the perfect jam, the BEST frozen chicken sandwiches, fresh cinnamon bread or a sliced to order deli sandwich it's a win all the way around. Top it off with the amazing customer service and you really can't go wrong!
World’s best sandwich here in Anna. A must stop. My team member and I absolutely loved the home baked sourdough and the options to put in the sandwich! If you are near by or far away, make a detour here. Sorry for no photo of sandwich. It’s gone.
We love the atmosphere, always feeling welcome! They have an amazing deli and fresh sandwiches made to order. The variety of homegoods is amazing and fresh! So glad this was an addition to Union County.
This place is amazing and has a little bit of everything. The prices are reasonable for the quality, which is off the charts. I only wish I could afford to buy all my groceries here! Can't wait to go back and try out their fresh deli.
Love love love going here! I always get the same sandwich and it always turns out better than my expectations! Also am in love with the sourdough bread.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND don't leave there without some sourdough in your hand!!
A local favorite.. deli sandwich is amazing and budget friendly option for a quick lunch. Their jams and canned veggies are the best around. You can even find handmade casseroles and pot pies that are now frozen to bake later. Lots of baked goods and dry goods.
Wonderful little store. Has all sorts of cool stuff, including excellent dried fruit and a wide assortment of canned goods. I hear the sandwiches are awesome, but I have yet to try one.
We ducked off the interstate for a potty break and a snack. Farmstead was well beyond the sketchy station at the exit. We are glad we went the extra mile. It is clean. It is friendly. It is a nice little country market. They had typical c-store merchandise but mostly canned veggies, pickles, homemade bread, and pies.
I really wish it wasn't 4 hours from home, we would be in regular.
Best local grocery store I've ever been to. There's a wide selection of items to choose from, from candies to cheeses to soaps! All of them are things you can't find anywhere else in Anna, but they're not good just because it's the only place you can find them. They're good because they're GOOD. Not only that, but they have a deli area where you can sit down and choose from a variety of sandwiches. I personally recommend the grilled cheese. Overall, this market is very clean, affordable, has lots of variety, and good products.
Quick easy in/out. Nice, clean. I've been several times and now I have my favorites to look for. Cheese curds, dark chocolate treats, cinnamon rolls to splurge on some savory bites worth the extra calories and egg noodles. It is a drive thank goodness or I'd have to fight the temptation every day instead of every couple of months that we're in the area.
A neat store. A lot of repackaged bulk food supplies. Their sandwiches looked great. Didn't eat there because all they had was booths that weren't big guy friendly. Lunch meat was on average 5.99 a pound which is very competitive. They do a lot of business for good reason. Go visit!
Great deli sandwich made with their homemade sourdough bread. Friendly feel to this place. So many items to choose from to add to your individual cooking needs. Homemade goodies to choose from. The mums to purchase were SPECTACULAR as is their outdoor furniture that they make themselves. Gotta check this place out!!!
Oh my Heavenly stars the Farmstead store makes me speechless. My husband & I stopped in one time & now we have to go there at least once a month. We live about an hour away but this store is well worth the trip!!!! I've told several people & they love the Farmstead store as much as we do. If you've read any of the other reviews, you know this store offers so much & much much more. The atmosphere, the "Good" brand plain chips, deli, sewing goods, kitchen knives, candy, cookbooks, etc... But anyone that cooks at home you gotta try their "scubbies" they are the best!!! I cannot say anything negative about this wonderful store!!!
This place is simply amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming. The products are top notch. The people that own and work there are the best! From wholesome groceries to the best cold cut sandwich you will ever have anywhere!

Love this place! Very reasonable prices on cheese, fresh bread, and baking supplies. Some of my favorites are the ladyfinger microwave popcorn, corn chips, apple butter, and frozen cookie dough. Fantastic deli meats and cheeses and they will even make you a sandwich. If you haven’t been there, must take a look!
