After being told by Discount Tire that my wheel couldn’t be replaced and would cost $900+ OR recommending that I purchase a whole new set of tires from them for $700+ (my car is a 2025), I came to Auto Tech for a second opinion. Not only were they incredibly kind and patient, they assured me that they would take a look and could give me a much better price. Turns out my wheel COULD be fixed and was only $220! They were thorough, called me at every point in the process, and ensured I had the best options. As a younger woman, it’s hard to feel trusting when dealing with services in the automotive industry… but I would recommend Auto Tech to everyone and anyone!
Me and my family have been coming to this Autotech for years. Oil changes, brakes, tires, belts, everything. I figured I'd share my specific story from today (Christmas Eve!) because this particularly impressed me. Yesterday, my car had a coolant leak. We called first thing in the morning, and they said they'd take a look immediately. After bringing my car over, they saw that I had a hose leak and by the time they notified me, someone was ALREADY coming from the Woodstock location to deliver it. Within an hour and a half, my car was ready! Aside from my experiences, their prices are incredibly affordable and customer service is spot on. Dan has been our go-to! Brought my Acura MDX in to get the timing belt service, tires and trans/diff fluids. Worked with Dan. He provided excellent customer service. He worked with me on getting the right products and a great price for everything. He assured that they only use high quality parts for the timing belt package which is very important. Would recommend to anyone who needs maintenance or repairs done to their aging cars.
I usually don’t write reviews, whether my experience is good or bad, but after this visit I feel compelled to share. I’ve been coming to this shop off and on for a few years for various services like alignments. In the past, I had minor issues with the alignments not being perfect, like the steering wheel not being straight, but I let it go.
This time, I scheduled an appointment specifically for a check-engine light diagnosis and dropped the car off the night before. I agreed to the $160 diagnostic fee. However, I didn’t get a call until late the next afternoon just to tell me I’d left the wrong key. I brought the correct key quickly, but then I didn’t hear back until the following day.
When they finally updated me, they said they just cleared the check-engine light without a real fix. I knew the code was a permanent one that wouldn’t just disappear, so this was disappointing. They also looked into a secondary issue I had mentioned, but that wasn’t my priority. Then, when the check-engine light came right back on after I left, they wanted me to wait for a manager and suggested another $160 fee, which wasn’t disclosed before.
In short, the lack of communication, unexpected fees, and the unresolved main issue made this experience frustrating. I hope they improve their transparency and service for future customers.
I called Tuesday afternoon to set up an appointment for 4 tires Tuesday after work. I was given a great price on 4 tires. They really aren't the tires that I would have choose but they highly recommended them and said that is I wasn't happy with them that they have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. The Wrangler Steadfast HT are amazing! I love these tires. I showed up at 5PM had 4 new tires and an oil change and pulled out at 5:45. The team at Huntley Goodyear Auto tech Scored a Touchdown! I highly recommend
Tires replaced quickly at a great price. Alignment checked. Did not need the alignment as it was not out. This is the only dealer that has said you do not need to spend more money for something you do not need. Very honest place to do business.
Been here a few times over the years. Always very good service. Today took a family members older car in for an alignment. I didn't know what poor condition the tires were in. They couldn't do the alignment. Didn't charge anything to look it over and gave an estimate on the paper work for what's needed when they're ready to have the work done. A+
Called in the morning asking how long they told me 1-2 hours so I dropped off car then I called again . And they haven’t even worked on the car . Saying they don’t know why they said that . Then they just hung up with me while I was mid conversation like that’s crazy how they do that . Honestly i don’t know . That was not professional at all
Fantastic service!! Great prices!! Ask them about coupons and rebates! I had my Suburban tires replaced getting ready for winter, these guys were kind and I feel pretty darn honest. Thanks for the quick turn around on getting these new tires.
I went in to have my front brakes and rotor done. They let me know that my caliper was also seizing up and the cost up front before doing the work. I got the job done fairly quick at a good price.
We purchased tires through Goodyear. We had a very frustrating experience at the Auto Tech Center in Huntley. My husband went in for the scheduled tire installation, but they couldn’t even find the reservation—completely disorganized from the start.
When we asked a simple question about the warranty, the employee dismissively told us to “take it up with whoever you bought them with,” then mumbled under his breath something along the lines of, “we’re independent contractors, I don’t know why we would offer warranty.” Whether he knew or not, it was unprofessional—especially since some businesses do offer warranties with their installations.
To top it off, they refused to do the tire installation without a wheel lock key, which our car didn’t even require. We figured that out when we switched our reservation to the Crystal Lake location and they informed us. He didn’t even take the time to go outside to check that indeed we did need it. This led us to make an unnecessary trip to Honda and waste both time and money.
If you're looking to do business with this franchise, skip Huntley and go to the Crystal Lake location instead. The team in Crystal Lake is professional, helpful, and clearly takes pride in their work. Night and day difference.
My truck was towed there on a Wednesday afternoon and I received a call the very next morning saying that it was ready. Very friendly group over here and I thank all of them for their work in making this as painless as possible. Definitely recommend going here and will return when I have an issue arise again!

On my way to Chicago coming from Des Moines while on vacation my engine died on the highway. It was late Saturday afternoon. Google showed only one shop open and close by. Auto Tech. I called in a desperate situation. They said they could try to look at it before they left. The tow truck got me there before they closed. The tech “John” diagnosed the issue within a few minutes. I asked if any of the employees could drive me 35 minutes to my hotel so I could compete in the triathlon I was registered for. A guy named Austin happily agreed. Auto tech said they would call me first thing on Monday and would hopefully have the part. At 9:10am on Monday they called and said they could get it fixed. The Manager sent the same employee out 35 minutes to pick me up at the hotel and bring me to the shop. I waited for like 45 minutes and they had my car fixed. Amazing customer service!!! I can’t begin to thank their staff enough.
We’ve been in the area 15 years and thought we’ve finally found a place for our break, tire, and oil changes. Service was great at the Huntley location, until it wasn’t.
My wife’s car needed breaks and rotors, so we got them done on separate occasions (front / back). Then the noises started. We brought them back and they replaced them with better pads. They were good for a little while, and then breaks started making noise again. We brought them back and they said they were dirty or something and they found something wrapped around one of them, which they say was making the noise. They were good for a little while, and then the noise started again. We took back to the shop, they said they would drive it, but they could not hear the noise. We backed down a little bit. However, everyday hearing the same constant squealing (heard by the entire family) really gets to you. I spoke to him again and one of the assistants said we could replace them with the factory breaks and just pay the difference.
We brought the car back in as we’ve had enough. The head rep Dan, said we have to drive it to hear noise in order to warranty it. I play a video of me capturing the squealing 3x in a row and the one assistant guy even said “yeah, that would be annoying to listen to”.
Well, Dan called and said they will not honor the warranty because they could not hear noise when they drove it. Somehow, it magically disappears when it’s brought in. The only option presented was to charge us another $1,000 to fix. My video wasn’t enough?
The major problem is that after months of issues, 2 replacements, and various visits, he finally tells us that he’s had experiences with these cars having had the same issues (other families) and that usually going with the manufactures parts was the way to go. Well, after the first or second time, why wouldn’t you tell us this if you knew there was issues!!!!! Now, you don’t want to cover under warranty and get more money from us???
Well, this is the last time we will be taking all of our cars to the Huntley location. Time to look for a new spot…

I just wanted to take a minute and thank, Arlen and the staff at Autotech in Huntley. They were able to paint and replace my right passenger side mirror. They are always very reliable, courteous, and get the job completed in a timely manner. I recommend going here to anybody who lives in the Huntley and surrounding areas for your vehicular needs.
They took care of my tires and breaks in one afternoon. Dropped off at 1pm, picked up at 530pm same day. Great service, quick. And good prices as well. Half the price than if I had taken it to Toyota. Very pleased. Will continue using them!

Lied about service cost upfront. Agreed to work without documenting issue, later denied work and had to tow out at my own expense. Multiple techs unable to read dash light cues. Left hood unlatched and driver door unlocked in parking lot, discovered upon picking keys back up.
Advertises electrical work. Immobilizer issue, kid on phone quoted “$140 for an hour and a half with the technician” after being notified of issue- crank no start and green key light flashing on dash. Agreed to the price and towed the car there. Once contacted again about the car, advisor led with “not cranking well gonna need to do a compression test for $100”. Asked about immobilizer, the reason the car was there, and advisor was clueless, said they had no record of that being the issue, and that “technician” did not mention anything- technician could not recognize green key light flashing on dash. Advisor notified me diagnostic is now $160 for an hour with tech, $225 for an hour and a half, contrary to the $140 quote received before I towed the car there, likely because the car was towed there and I didn’t have much choice but to tow it elsewhere. Agreed to a single hour of diagnostic after running advisor through the issue once again, even walking them through service manual steps. Later denied working on the car, not charging me blaming a dashcam hard wire that was visible the whole time, I brought the car there with the necessary parts already removed/accessible.
Had to tow car to another mechanic for $200 out of my own pocket.

Auto Tech has worked on my car for the past year or so and they are great! They always fit me in, they’re communicative and professional. Plus their prices are usually better than everywhere else! I’m a big fan!
I placed a special order with this auto tech location and they had my new tires the very next day. I scheduled the installation for two days after that, and the entire process went smoothly. They had matched the price that I was quoted by the dealership. When I asked for a timeline for insulation, the total time for installation and balancing was only two hours. Exactly what the tech who checked me in had promised they called when they said that they would call and the work was done to my satisfaction.. They did a great job and I will be recommending them to anybody who asks my opinion.
