Wm raise their prices several times per year without any notice. Lake county signed a terrible contract with that company that allows WM not to pickup any garden waste, raise the prices as they see it fit.

We did a drop close to closing hours, but there was a super nice lady at the gate who let us through and saved us a huge hassle. Will be sure to check the hours next time. Wish I got her name. Thanks nice lady!
Charges a B.S. $1.99 fee now for paying with a credit card, and they have the nerve to slap us in the face by calling it a "convenience" fee.... convenient for who??????? Greed, period.
Do not attempt to come here to dump personal waste. Tried to drop off a coffee table and bed frame following a move and they would not take these two items without charging us 120$ Only purpose seems to be for commercial/industrial use
Waste Management offers Back Door service, picking up and returning your garbage and recycling bins at another location by your home other than the street. This feature is great for those who need help walking with a walker or a cane - or in the winter when driveways may be icy..
I want to share what a great job the person did in the Grayslake yearly yard waste pick up today. He made sure each can was fully emptied and some of the empty can tipped over in the road and he stood them
up before he pulled away.
We also have wonderful service throughout the year as well.
Overall, excellent service. On windy days, however, drivers should retrieve any materials that blow away when carts are lifted into the bin and when the bin is emptied into the truck.
Great company; very reliable. Would love to see an option for short term rentals on larger cans. Specifically for holidays or when you know you’re going to have access garbage after a party.
I’m perfectly happy with my trash pick up , our team is always great - BUT I am so disappointed by the leaf pick up program it has completely jaded my opinion of WM. I don’t care what the excuse is, you cannot promise something and under deliver and expect customers to understand. The total lack of predictability, haphazard routes, and shoddy work and all the extra work that caused our family - dutifully raking everything to the curb based on the published schedule only to have our leaves sit for weeks on end and blow back in our yard and all over the neighborhood, only to end up raking it all up again because they did not come before thanksgiving when we had a lot of out of town company coming . I do not know that you can regain my trust so you might as well stop sending me review options
Regarding your bill notification emails, I would suggest you post the due date on the invoice especially since you send these email invoices so far in advance. Otherwise, I find your website easy to use.
Not sure if they don’t know how to count or read but multiple time that they have not come to pick up my trash it now been two weeks after the heat excuse and now they made further excuses. Point is still have two weeks of trash now. You are the worst! Will be informing city hall since I have documented the numerous times you have failed to include the neighbors complaints as well. Stupid that the city makes us use you versus hiring other companies that do a better job.
Most of the time the service is great. Alerts have not worked for the last 2 holidays however. Even logging in directly showed I was still getting normal pickup even though it was delayed a day for holidays.
I've never had one problem with WM over all the years they've been coming to my address. I have zero idea why Round Lake Beach dropped WM and went with Groot. You get what you pay for. And already Groot has not impressed me. I'm glad I'm moving out of state. Thank you WM for 15 years of great service!
WM is always at our home every week to pick up garbage and recycles. We had some smaller old furniture on the curb about 2 months ago and they took them as well. I was so thankful for that.
Finally I am so glad that my yard waste, garbage and recycle are picked up by 9 or 10 am! Since the pandemic pickup times were inconsient or missed. It seems WM crews are finally on a consistant time table!!

Overpriced extra services and pick up service didn't even happen on scheduled day for the extra service despite payment already being sent. Half the time the drivers leave my bins in the middle of the driveway as well. They leave debris everywhere and don't pick it up either.

$120 per ton 1 ton minimum. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Guy at the scale loaned me a reflective vest and a hardhat, guy on the hill was nice, helped me communicate with the nice lady driving the biggest dozer I ever seen. She let me hook her huge chain onto my sailboat and she pulled it off the trailer for me. I'm sure I could have gotten it myself but she made it look easy. It's kinda high priced but I needed the boat gone and it's gone. Way cheaper than a roll off and I'd have had to cut it up to fit.
Not a negative review per se, but this place does not accept consumer waste without paying a $103 flat fee + garbage weight. It is commercial only. They don't tell you that on the website or when you call the toll free #, so I feel a little bait/switched, but the people at the dump were very professional and straight with me, so no complaints about them.
Bottom line, this is probably fine if you're dumping a ton of stuff from a renovation or something similar, but if you missed trash day or have an excess one week for some reason, this is not the place for you. You'll have to find a different solution.
This place is a complete rip off. They don't charge per weight but pet volume with a one ton minimum. Paid $200 to dump one pick up truck full of old furniture. Took the second load to Des Plaines and paid $50. Went to their office after not able to resolve the issue on the phone and Brad was completely useless.
A post says follow the rules and you will be fine. The problem is that you can’t talk to anyone to find out what the rules are. Eight phone calls, left voicemail and no return call. What is the process, what can I take and what can’t I take? What is the cost. Should I just show up and tie up the line and whatever the whole process is? Trying to do it the right way but can’t find out what that is! No wonder you see people dumping on the side of the road! That is wrong and not me.
Im a truck driver. I dump here all the time. Just follow the rules and be respectful and considerate. It's a good coordinated landfill. It's pretty easy to get in and get out. I have not had any issues whatsoever. NO CELLPHONES!!!
Look at all the fake 5 stars!!! Bet they paid good money for that. Not sure about the landfill, but the pickup service is Garbage. Took them literally one minute to restart service. I'm charged 55$. The only choice for waste removal in my village, what is this communist Russia? Monopoly. 8$ charge to pay over the phone and rigorous and time consuming to create and account online. This is what happens when you privatize public services.
Very bad service!! In the last five months we have had issue with our garbage being picked up ! you call the company and they say all the credit your account I'll have her garbage picked up in the next 48 hours but it's an issue and it keeps happening every two weeks and it feels that we're the only ones having this issue on the block!!! I'm paying for a service there for services should be completed! Starting to believe might be a racial thing might have to seek some legal action
