I would highly recommend Tucker's Automotive to anyone looking to get their car worked on! The service there is great they are always looking out for your best interest and will do everything they can to help you! I have had multiple things done to my car they always get it done in a timely manner and they always do a great job! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Tuckers automotive is great. They always work my car in when I need it. I needed new tires and they worked me in right away and got everything done in a timely manner. Highly recommend and will always take our vehicles to Tuckers for repairs and upkeep.
I would definitely suggest you get a second opinion. Tried to sell me a brake job i didn't need. Sold me garbage tires and would not make it right. Pretended to be our friend just to take advantage. Byers beware.
This place took advantage of my fiance by unauthorized work with a 1400 dollar surprise and a threat to hold keys until payment. No technician inspection notes or manufacturer of the parts im paying 1400 for service. Brian May is a service rep in clown shoes. Refused to give important info and the OWNER told him to tell us it is what it is and refused to talk to us. Joke of a shop and will guide everyone the opposite way! Shouts out Heath the mechanic though you did great work.
My niece brought her car in for an oil leak and was told it was the oil filter housing. She was told over the phone it would cost around $1000 so she agreed to have it fixed, she received a call telling her the repairs were completed and it was ready to be picked up so she asked what her total was and they told her $1500. The guy at the counter was extremely rude and the owner would not come out and explain was he was charging $600 for a part that the dealer has for $250. This is not how you do business
If I could put half a star I would! Charged my fiance 650 dollars for a DORMAN OIL FILTER HOUSING! Said the payment of whatever he came up with in his head was a verbal agreement over the phone so there was NO AUTHORIZATION SIGNATURE at all!!!!! Upon arrival Brian May, the service consultant who has 0 knowledge of vehicles himself lied to my fiance and said I told you that on the phone which still does not matter! Let it be known we was willing to spend 1000 to 1200 on the service as is but after I was giving some bull crap illegal paper work he decided he would keep the keys. We ended up paying just to get out of that place but this was by far the worst experience ive ever had in automotive service by a long shot. Reported to BBB
I rated it at 5 stars because Google won’t let me do 6. I’ve tried several shops in the past and they don’t compare to Tuckers.
The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The mechanics do an amazing job.
Their tires are grade A quality and cheaper than everyone else.
Tucker’s was efficient, kind, respectful, and honest! I took my XC90 there for an electrical issue with the fuel system. They quickly diagnosed it as rodent and charged a fair price and completed it quickly! Highly recommend Tuckers!!
Beyond satisfied with service provided. Everyone was nice & knowledgeable especially the owner he went above and beyond to explain everything to me. Will definitely be taking my vehicle back for future repairs & services.

Took truck 2 years ago front brakes replaced everything thought the brake lines were not replaced caliper has been dragging for two years and thy said thy would look at good thing I took it some where else glad or we would not of known the lines had junk in them .

Be replaced and didn’t even do an alignment and now his cars pulls to the right and the steering wheel is crooked- they won’t make it right- it didn’t have alignment problems before - I think they should make it right - it cost $125 to do an alignment - he didn’t need one before they worked on it- taking advantage of a 24 year old- and won’t make it right ? Never going to them again!

Dropped my car off yesterday around 4 Pm and they called me by 1 Pm today saying it was fixed and ready. Very nice people, will be going to them from now on!
What a great hometown business! I’m back in Alton after 30 years and was looking for a repair shop. The business owner is a great guy and a former high school classmate. Just had my vehicle serviced at Tucker’s and couldn’t be more pleased! Thanks again and looking forward to many more years of taking care of my vehicles.
I’m a Huge do it yourself kind of guy but I took my Yukon here and had them do some front end work. They were pretty quick on getting me back going. The tech didn’t grease up my ball joints on the bottom tho. Other than that I’d go back.
Chuck and his employees created a hostile environment after they were called out trying to over charge me and take advantage of me when I brought a trailer into have it looked at. One of the employees cussed acted like a tough guy then when i asked for his name he walked away scared. On their website it says they charge $150 for vehicle inspections then tries to charge me $300 to inspect a trailer. Inconsiderate people trying to take advantage of others.
Made an appointment to drop off my 2015 Subaru because the A/C wasn’t working. I explained to Chuck on the phone that the unit had a leak and that I had already charged it once with dye. I also stated that I didn’t want the unit charged until the leaks were found and repaired. When I dropped the car off, I again explained to Jenny that the unit had a leak and that needed to be addressed before adding refrigerant. I received a call two days later that my car was ready to be picked up. When I asked what they had done, Jenny told me that they had added refrigerant and dye. I asked to read the technician notes pertaining to my vehicle service and apparently there are none. $320.00 for 20oz of refrigerant and not one leak found. I paid the bill as that’s the only way to get the keys back but I am afraid that was the last time I will be using Tucker Automotive. Very disappointed.
I took my son's 07 Buick Rendezvous to Tucker's yesterday for the check engine light being on. They called me by 9:00 a.m. with a diagnosis; They had it repaired and complete and ready to go by 2:00 p.m. I called on Friday and asked if they could fit me in on Monday since it was a holiday for both my son and I and I was very happy that they had time for me and the repair. I've also taken my own SUV there for brake work a month or two ago and I was also very happy with the repair and the follow-up call a couple days later. And my young adult daughter has also taken her SUV there and we've had no problems. Very happy and definitely will be taking our vehicles back
Hey Now! These folks are the Kings of automotive repair! I had a air-conditioning problem in my truck, not working at all and we were on our way back to Florida, they diagnosed the problem, gave a quote on price, and fixed my A/C problem pronto! Chuck, the owner is great, as is the rest of his staff! He could have rolled me in flour and fried me since I was from Florida, but these guys treated us like family! Anything automotive, this is your place, they even have a great selection of tires, which I think I will get four next time we pass thru the area! Three cheers to Tuckers!!!
I took my Toyota Rav 4 in because it was overheating, I needed the repair done quickly, honestly the turn around I needed was, in my opinion, slightly unreasonable. I did state when I needed it but emphasized that if it couldn't be done that fast for them not to worry I would make other arrangements as I knew they get busy. Even if they couldn't get it done before I needed it I still needed it repaired.
Not only did they replace my water pump, fan belt, and do an oil change, they got it done faster than I expected. Their customer service was excellent. Very polite and understanding. I had requested they call when they found the problem so I could be sure I could afford it before they did the work and they got back to me the very next morning with a quote. By mid afternoon my car was done and ready to be picked up.
It's been two weeks now since I had the repairs done and it's running beautifully. I highly recommend this business and will be going back in the future. Thank you!

This is my second time visiting this location for repairs to my Jeep. I'm big on first impressions so with that being said, the warm welcome I received each time I've visited was amazing. The check in process was flawless. I received a phone call to describe the issue with all of the repair costs including the labor up front. I wasn't pressured either time to make an immediate decision which was helpful. Each repair was done completely with no need to revisit (as I've had to do before at a different repair shop in town). Lastly, I LOVE how a few days later they call and check on the customers to ensure their repairs are as expected and no additional issues surfaced. To me that is going above and beyond and makes you feel like family, not just another customer. THANK YOU!
Let me start by saying if you are in the need of any car care, Tucker Automotive and Tire is the place to take your car. First off, the customer service is wonderful! Since I don’t know much about cars, and the tires that go on them, I felt so dumb when deciding the tires that I should purchase for my car. Pretty much all I knew is that they are expensive, but important. The two people that helped me in front were super nice and helpful. Without complaint they printed off quotes for me, explained each of the tire choices, and patiently answered all my questions. Next, the waiting home is very cozy. I felt like I was in a cozy house because of the fire place, Christmas tree, small kitchenette, and the smell of coffee brewing. The waiting room is very clean and spacious, and the chairs were comfortable. Finally, I am very satisfied with the quality of the new tires on my car. I have had no problems with them. I am very happy with Tucker’s Automotive and Tires!
I've been taking my company car there for a year now. Always polite, always good solid work. I had them put tires on my travel trailer, excellent!
I'm taking my tow rig in soon for tires as well. I don't spend money more than once in places that don't deliver. Locally, I'm impressed with Tuckers enough to keep returning. You'll be impressed too.
