Terrible customer service from the team and GM Matt!!!!
I took my car battery to them 3 days ago and was told it would take 4 -24hrs for the charge. I called the next day to see if it was ready, was told it was not to call back. Called the following day and was told another 24 hrs because it was not charging. Called Today was told it was not ready and if I was not happy to come pick it up. So I did, there I meet with the GM Matt, he said did nothing to help told me the battery might be bad and they don’t charge batteries over night. I explained they had my battery for 3 days and I have made several calls . Told me to wait 30 minutes and can test battery. I told him it was ok and left. I took my battery cross the street to O’Relillys and they gave me great customer service. They tested my battery and in 1:30 the battery was fully charged. Thank you O’Reillys for great service and Advace please do better.
This store made me drive an hour and a half told me mt prospect had my car part just to get there and be told otherwise.. waited all day was supposed to get a call from Fabian to be told he didn’t check his emails cause he was busy so much for valuing a loyal customer that even took the time to drive and give you guys business been waiting for some kind of resolution or atleast anything about me trying to get my car part… from customer service to sales clerk people really don’t care so messed will continue to search for a mirror and I will never go to oreilys again nor recommend you guys to everyone like i do smh
The members are always polite, give suggestions and answer questions. They are willing to accommodate your requests and do their best to fulfill your order.
Liz helped me with a couple marine batteries. Very friendly and helpful. She was able to locate the two batteries at a close by store as they were out of stock. She called over and made sure someone put their hands on them so I didn't waste a trip. Great customer service. I am a manager of a car dealership and thats the kind of service a customer should expect every time. We'll done Liz, and thank you. Heather at the Elgin store was awesome too!
Manager at this place needs to be replaced as soon as possible very disrespectful answering phones putting them on hold and saying bad words right in front of u not a very helpful guy I came in from 30 minutes away My original advance auto shop sent me to Elgin because they had the parts on hand. I asked him if he was ok because he was so disrespectful to other customers like he hated his job he then told me that he was denying me on selling me my parts what a joke and when you're at work you supposed to look presentable not like you're going to the gym he didn't even look like he worked there he says he's the manager no name just attitude. Im really concerned and need a reply
This place originally didn't have the part I came in to buy. However they ordered it and replaced the faulty one on my vehicle. Roman was a good dude and because of his customer service skills, I will be a repeat customer.
Horrible service by some guy named David. Gave attitude as soon as I walked in and had the courage to say his dad owns the store. Will never go back dude needs to be re trained by corporate.
Needed a new car battery and figured I ought to get backup wipers and an air filter while I was going to be there. Ordered the parts online and they got everything prepped within ~20 minutes. I overheard that one of the guys there was about to go on lunch break after I showed up at this store on Mclean Blvd. Yet despite that, he took the time to install the new battery!
I don't often make reviews, but since I was promptly helped despite there being a lunch break, a good review was the least I could do.
Never got their names. Hence, whoever was working at ~noon today, you are awesome. I would have been ok with coming back at a later time, especially since I live fairly close by (patience is a virtue after all). Next time I need something from this outlet, I'm going to be mindful of when I pick up parts.
Again, you guys were (and are) awesome. I hope this thank you culminates into getting better compensation!
Waited at the check out for at least 5 minutes, when I asked if anyone was able to check me out it was followed by "you can wait a minute". When the employee came up to the register, I asked him to clarify if he really said "you can wait a minute" and he said "yeah, I'm the only one here and I'm working on a commerical account" I left the products on the counter and left. Number one I was okay waiting a bit longer if needed, all I would have liked was a professional response. Number two, not the way to treat customers. Go to O'Reily Auto Parts across the street, much better customer service.
Not to good with manpower, on hold for over 12 minutes. BUT they had the set of spark plugs I needed when I showed up in person. O'Reilly's across the street did not.
Worst customer service I ever received stead there for about 10 mins with out the 2 employees even knowledge i was there. They were placing a order and could not even say ill be with you in a minute, it was like i was invisible. Took my business across the street to O Reilly as soon i walked in i was greeted with a hello how can I help you. Advance lost my business stay away if you don't feel like your money is good there.
Roman was very helpful and nice. He took his time to call around other stores for the parts that I needed for my 2003 Mitsubishi outlander. Although the parts didn't fit my vehicle he was still very polite and kind. I will be making my next purchases with Advance Auto parts the one on McLean.
Nice and great place to buy vehicle parts. Great customer service. They are willing and able to solve customers' problems. I will be buying vehicle parts at AAP.
Have been exclusively shopping here for years, after today I will no longer step foot in another Advance Auto. My daughter went to buy spark plugs and was treated so rudely by the employees there that she left crying. I ended up having to go to O’Reilly Auto Parts across the street and thy were very professional. Never again Advance....
What can I say about these guys? I purchased rear brake pads online for my 2015 Sonata and I picked them up and brought home to install and they were wrong. I came back to the store and the manager was very apologetic and said that Hyundai's have multiple parts for the same vehicle. I simply picked the wrong ones. They stated they owned Hyundai's too and understood my frustration. This was a quarter to 9 on a Friday night. I had already disassembled everything so I couldn't get back until the next day which I said was fine. They were upset because the pads wouldn't be in until 1 on Sat. Again...not a problem. Low and behold they gave me a platinum set at a discount price so I could finish the job. It wasn't even their fault. I'm just blown away by that gesture. I've always had good experiences with Advance. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks again guys. If I could give 10 Stars I would. Just wow. Thank you thank you thank you.
It's a normal parts store, but the guys that work there are really helpful. The only thing I didn't like was that they can't troubleshoot check engine lights anymore, but that's a corporate decision.
The people working here were helpful but they seemed cocky. Like as if they felt they should be mechanics and know it all about cars, but wouldn't or couldnt help with installing a lightbulb. As a girl, i needed the help. A simple "its against our policy" would have been fine, but all I got was "Nope we cant do that" other than that they helped find what i needed.
Stopped in on the coldest day of the month and snow falling to get a new battery. They were able to get me the battery and offered to put it in for me. I could have done it myself, but it was so cold I figured why not let them do it if they are offering. Great service.
My favorite parts store. Always friendly and helpful, when I killed my car down the street from them one of the employees was kind enough to come and give me a jump when he got off his shift. I recommend these guys over the Napa down the street every time.
