Horrible owner.. I called them and advised that I was in a semi truck and was stuck on the side of the road due to the snow he asked me what kind of trailer a had I told him dry van he asked was I loaded I told him I had light Mail then when he arrived on the scene he told me I wasted him time he thought I was in a regular truck caught an attitude with me saying all his calls are recorded then I told him well play it back and he said he’s not going to argue with me and drove away while keeping my money
A shout out and thanks to Nick, for pleasant and professional help. Stranded on an interstate, our insurance company's roadside assistance dispatched Ford County Towing to assist. Nick helped make a stressful time easier. He towed to a dealership some 30 miles away. Recommended.
I requested roadside assistance through my insurance company for a battery jump in Champaign. The owner came from Gilman and arrived in 30 minutes. When he arrived, it was determined I needed a lockout service as well. He took care of everything and didn’t charge me for lockout. This company is based on helping people, which is a lost sentiment at times. Good people.
After grocery shopping today I returned to my car and it would not start. I submitted a roadside assistance ticket through my insurance. They assigned this awesome company and I had the pleasure of meeting Nick! Nick was courtesy, diligent, kind, empathetic, and overall a great man! Thank you Nick for saving me lol! May God continue to bless you!!
Called them 2 hours ago they said someone would call back within the hour and so far no one has called back yet. I tried calling them back and no one is answering the phone.
First, to the inevitable response from the company, no, I will not take my negative review down. I understand you are a small, family owned company. That doesn't make the service I was provided any better. Now to the actual review. Giving 2 stars on the very unlikely chance that the initial information provided was inaccurate. So, Ford County Towing was contracted with my insurance company's roadside service, and I requested a tow through the automated system from my insurance at 8:30a.m. The system sent me an ETA around 8:45 of 90-120 minutes. I didn't think that was terrible since the tow yard is shown as an hour from the location of my car. Well, at the 2 hour mark, the insurance automated system sent me a follow-up text asking if my vehicle had been towed. It had not, so someone apparently called the company who provided an updated ETA of 45 minutes. 1 hour after this ETA (3 hours total) another auto text resulted in another ETA update, this time to 15 minutes. At 12:38, I received a call from the insurance company advising the driver was 10 minutes out. At 12:57 the driver then called me, verifying the city of my tow. At that time he stated he was just getting on the interstate at Champaign, which in mid-day traffic is 40 minutes. This, obviously, is a bit different than the 10 minute ETA they provided my insurance company. I told the driver that since I'd been sitting for 4 1/2 hours I was going to run up to Arby's and grab a sandwich. At this point the driver advised that he was told this was an "unattended tow" and they had taken care of all of the "attended tows" first. About 20 minutes later, I received another phone call from the insurance company who said that I told the driver I was eating lunch and wouldn't be with the car. That is not what was said. Ultimately, the driver arrived around 2:45, 6 hours after the initial ETA was provided. When he did finally arrive, he was courteous and professional. However, as I mentioned at the outset, that still does not make up for the multiple incorrect ETAs that were provided some of which bordered on outright lies.
Our car had run out of gas on the interstate, and this business was very responsive in sending someone over to assist us with some gas to get us to the nearest station.
The driver was very kind and helpful, even going as far as to help jump the car when the battery had died. Overall, a great service!
After accidentally letting the car run out of gas, FCT was the only service willing to come bring us gas. Not only was the towman friendly but also went above and beyond to find us in the pitch black on the interstate and to get our car running after the battery ran out.
Thank you Ford County towing !! Today was a busy day for us and my daughters first day of school...we locked the keys in the trunk....
Manny came out and saved the day!!!
It was fast friendly service with a smile. I know who I will be calling for any future towing needs!!! Back to the busy day ahead
My car was stuck during a snow storm, they helped winch my car out quickly and was very helpful and courteous in the process. I would definitely use them again if I need them.
I was locked out of my car and the owners were super helpful and was able to get it open. I'm grateful for there help bc if not I would have a broken window right now. Again thank you! Definitely telling anyone to use ur towing company.
Manny was great. He arrived quickly, towed my car, and even brought me to my house.If I need emergency road service, I will ask my insurer to call Ford County Towing.
The towing experience happened very quickly, I waited 20ish minutes for him to come. Very nice and respectful and just wish I grabbed his name, he was the man with brown hair,brown eyes and tattoos, anyways he was super nice!!
The towing service is priceless and very professional. They keep you informed via txt msgs . I highly appreciate being informed about the ETA of the driver.
Locked keys in car and was given a two hour eta. Had to wait for another three hours for them to not show up despite being 35 minutes from their business.
Today I got locked out of my car on my lunch break. Phone, keys, and everything inside! Ford County Towing was able to help me out within minutes. The man who helped me was very kind and helpful. I recommend their company for quick and easy assistance whenever it’s needed most.
They went beyond my expectation. I was stranded miles/hrs away from home or help with my 3yr old grandson. This company had gotten out to me within maybe 30mins. To my surprise the dispatcher had heard my grandson in the background and sent a bag of treats, a coloring book w/ crayons with the tow truck driver for my grandson. Like WOW....!! So Thoughtful at such a stressful and restless time. Thank you again for turning my situation around!!
