Used to be my favorite parts store.
New town (I've moved) and wasn't happy with the woman who was helping us. She was so quick to tell me the other store was wrong before even knowing my situation completely. We left empty handed and went elsewhere.
Maybe I'll return for another chance 🤷
We pulled in just a minute ago because our transmission light came on in our car, and Trevor (we think that's his name) came out and helped us out, our coolant ended up being bone dry and that's what was overheating the engine. The light has currently turned off. We're an hour away from home and he was a life saver, because we know very little about cars. Thank you so much, man!
Your Worker Tina W.'s attitude towards her coworkers is truly appalling. The time I spent looking around the store, she treated her other coworker with disrespect. As well as gave him attitude when asking questions about certain parts' availability, and treated him as though he was intellectually impaired. She had also sat down the entire time, having him do all the work. I was informed she was disabled, though she rarely got up to help him, nonetheless treat him with human decency. Only getting up rarely for a customer, or whenever there was more than one customer. Even then, when he'd ask her to help him with one of the customers. She'd treat him with such disregard and respect. I was beginning to get agitated on his behalf. There is no reason what so ever, that a worker her age range should be treating a younger coworker with such rudeness. Let alone be the only manager on duty. She may put up a front with customers, but her attitude with her other coworkers truly astonished me. Truly one of the most appalling attitudes for work I've seen by far.
Saturday June 1st at 6:05 pm a tech was helping check my battery and pulled my hood down without moving the bar back down. Completely bent my hood and I had to ask for a tool to try and take the dent out...it obviously didn't work and now I have to pay $300 to replace it.
I was 3hours from home and needed assistance and Charles Parsons in Alsip,IL went above and beyond to make sure I got on the road. Appreciate the service
Our car broke down and we were stranded. Melissa was amazing, she helped us. They were able to locate the correct part and saved us from getting rained on while we waited.
Ordered $1200 worth of parts. Just to have the store call me in the state the part was in and not be there. Other parts I ordered were canceled but they never reached out and let me know they’ve been holding my money for over two weeks and will be unable to provide me with any of the parts I ordered. Very let down by AutoZone.
Staff were very unhelpful. When asked to run codes no help was given. They tested the battery and when asked if we could get a new one, they disappeared. 10 mins later they were standing around taking a smoke break. Went to O'Reilly up the street and had a much better experience.
I was quickly greeted. I was looking for a random item. The staff member took me right to it. I was able to check out quickly and get on my way. I was thanked for coming in. Overall, I was impressed. 🙂
These Guys saved me Big while out in the cold, they helped me diagnose the problem which was my alternator and then helped me change my alternator which I had never done before. DEREK saved the day thank goodness and provided the helping hand, tools nessasary, the knowledge to get me on my way, I was about to be stranded, I still have 2 days of driving to go. Woman behind the desk was very helpful. She came out to the car to confirm the right part. She loaned me tools so I could make the simple repair in the parking lot and get back on the road. I definitely recommend this great Autozone.
My check engine light was on. The clerk was very nice and knowledgeable about my problem. He showed me where the part would be on my car and assisted me when I decided to add some oil while I was parked at the store.
Been going downhill since Gail left. Older associate was very unhelpful with ABS light on my truck. And seemed burdened when I asked him to recycle my used oil.
The guy behind the counter was very helpful and loaned me a funnel to put my transmission fluid in. He even looked up the proper fluid for me and got it off the shelf for me. I would highly recommend this establishment for any of your automotive needs.
EDIT: It's been a whole work week, and they still haven't returned my money...
The last few times I've tried to order parts over the phone, their incompetent employees (even sales managers) have ordered the wrong part for me. You know what comes out of getting wrong parts? Days of vehicle downtime, 4 extra trips to the store in 3 days, and having to deal with their terrible returns processing.
IF you need to use them, you better order parts in person.
Or you could always just go to O'Reilly's...

AutoZone had the paint I needed for a Star Trek prop I was building. Great place for all your auto parts needs. The personnel there are always friendly and helpful.
This place usually has the part you need or they get it there within a couple of days. Recently I stopped in for an usual part and they didn't have it. Said they could order it for me. I needed it right away but they were very nice and professional. Stop in and see if they have the part you need...odds are they will, if not right then, real soon.
The fellers in there this morning were great. They helped me and my stranded family get back home to Arkansas. Thank you gentlemen I'll see you in the future
We were on our way to Oklahoma City on July 3rd,when our air conditioner started blowing warm air.The guys at the Vandalia Auto Zone
told us how to recharge our AC and we immediately got cooled -off.
They saved our vacation!
It's an AutoZone so you know exactly what to expect. It is super convenient to I-70 so when you have several hundred miles of insects encrusted on your windshield that defy your routine gas station squeegeeing, you can buy something to get them off.
I had low air pressure in my tires and stopped on my way to Indy to see if they could help put some air in one of my tires. The man who helped me was so helpful and noticed that my tires had dry rot and were VERY unsafe to drive, to the extent that he was shocked they hadn't popped on me and they would likely not make it to Indy. So grateful to the diligence of this person!!
Amazed with store manager Gale and the performance staff working at this location. traveling from Columbus to Tulsa the alternator went out in my Ford Ranger, I was amazed how the store manager and his staff went above and beyond to reach out to help get me back on the road. I appreciate how professional and generous the staff was and it was a great out of state experience.
