Had a great experience with Lump & Sons Inc. The team is honest, trustworthy, professional, and clearly knows what they’re doing. They took the time to explain the issue, didn’t push unnecessary repairs, and finished the work when they said they would (rare automotive unicorn). Pricing was fair, service was smooth, and the car runs perfectly. It’s refreshing to find a repair shop you can actually trust-highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and straightforward car service.

I had engine issues and was quoted an unreasonable amount, just for a diagnosis, at another auto repair chain. Brought my car to Lumpp and sons. They looked into it, provided me with a great explanation of the failure causes, a fair price (far lower than the chain) and quick service! Highly recommend!

In 2023, Lumpp & Sons was able to accurately diagnose an issue that others couldn’t and the price was fair. Moving forward, I would take the car there for routine maintenance. They charge about $130+ per hour these days. I’m confident in the skills at Lumpp & Sons and if I ever had a serious problem I would take my vehicle there. While I can’t afford them for miscellaneous repairs anymore, I still trust them and think they’re worth the visit when you’re in real trouble.

I am very happy with Lumpp & Sons. Quality of work is good. Fair prices. I can make an appt online. I can leave messages for them online. Patrick the owner was there to check me in, and when I called. He is in charge and of course knows cars. And he is available to talk for a few minutes. I trust them.

If you're looking for an honest and amazing mechanic, look no further - Patrick and his team at Lumpp & Sons are the absolute BEST!!! My A/C wasn’t working, and I kept hearing a strange sound coming from the wheel while driving. I first took my car to the dealership, and they told me it was the transmission. Then I went to Gerber Collision, and they said my A/C was fine and basically refused to help. Thankfully, I stopped by Lumpp & Sons for an oil change and asked Patrick if they could check where the sound was coming from. Right away, Patrick and his team found the real problem. It wasn’t the transmission, it was a worn wheel bearing! They replaced it and fixed my A/C, and now my car drives like a dream. They completed the work quickly and even kept me updated throughout the process, which I really appreciated. Patrick took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and what they were going to do. No pressure, no upselling, just honesty and clarity. It’s almost impossible these days to find a mechanic who is both trustworthy and truly skilled. Patrick is exactly that and more!!! I feel so blessed to have found them. This is the only place I’ll ever trust with my car again! Thank you!

I brought my car to Lumpp & Sons for an oil leak. The shop has misdiagnosed the cause of the leak multiple times and has yet to fix the problem. I followed the shop's recommendations, which has proven to be a huge mistake. I have brought the car back three times and have spent thousands of dollars on parts that did not need to be replaced. I was told that more work was required to fix the leak and the additional costs would be my responsibility. Working with Lumpp & Sons has been both a hassle and a tremendous waste of time. I do not recommend having your vehicle serviced here.

Not once did anyone tell me there was going to be any type of cost until they brought my car up front. I didn't sign any paperwork giving permission to do anything to my car. That's pretty crappy!!! And unprofessional. I'm a former automotive manager, and if one of my employees did something like that. We'd be eating the cost. You can't just assume someone wants or can afford the service. I'd like a refund, and I will take this post done. They can make a wrong thing right. I also noticed they don't respond to their low star rating. Hmmmmm!!!!!

Extremely trustworthy and honest. Dealership said I needed all 4 brakes done and Lumpp & Sons showed me that only the front brakes needed replacement. I saved $500 due to their honesty.

In the intervening years, I've never met a more trustworthy group of mechanics - with discerning expertise that I'd be happy to recommend to friends and family. Got my work beater in and out in about six hours for brakes and a serious exhaust leak. Got it fixed up and back to me the day of. At a very reasonable price.

I have been going to Lumpp and Sons for five years now. I have three older cars to take care of. Sometimes I can fix the issue myself. But if I can't, I always go and see Patrick! He is a very honest businessman. That's why he has people like me going back there. He fixed three air conditioners on all three of my cars. The price could not be more reasonable. When I brought in a car when the break sensors were squealing, he changed the two that needed to be replaced. He told me I can get another half a year to a year out of them. Also when I bring in the car the day before for the service and drop off the keys, most of the time he'll fix it the next day and I can pick up the car the next evening. If there were more stars to give Lumpp & Sons I definitely would! Cheers!

Was recommended to get work done on my Jeep from a co worker. Dropped off on November 28th and was told they would be able to tear into it within a couple of days. Contacted them a week later after not hearing anything. Was told i would get a call back with a quote. Well, another week or so goes by and once again no call. I call 3 times, no answer and leave a message. Zero call back so I called 3 days later and said dont worry about it after realizing they had not even began to work on it and was just getting a run around on a quote. I am not saying they are not good mechanics and or people but to have that big of a lack of communication is unacceptable.

Do not go here!! Very dirty, unprofessional. Quoted me $70 to $80 for oil change when I made appointment and told them my make/model of car. AFTER completing the oil change said it was over $100. Very deceptive. Didn't do anything but change oil and oil filter. Beware!!

It’s a good old family owned mechanic shop. They are fairly priced, clearly know what they’re doing AND the dudes are genuine and kind. My new car will definitely be taken care of for years to come by this shop.

I have been going to Lump & Son for over 12 years now. Patrick and his crew are amazing. Patrick has always been fair with his prices and 100% honest and knowledgeable about diagnosis of your car. My car was stalling and stop when I back up. Patrick asked me questions about my last oil change. I advised my daughter in law had my car for few weeks and she took it 10.7 so that wasn't it. Got a call back and it was the oil. Anyone else would of lied and charged me a arm and leg. Not Patrick. He put oil in and made sure before I picked up my car it didn't cause any other damage. I told my daughter in law this is why I don't take my car to anyone else. I recommend this shop 100% 👌 😍

I am so happy with the service I have received from this shop. They made my car run smoothly again. Really really reasonable price. Pat is an amazing person, he will tell you exactly what needs to be done without telling you it’s maybe this or that, his Son Brandon is a real genius in this field! I finally find my shop for life….This is a family owned business and they are deeply involved in the community and the neighborhood. I ve been around, and I know when I see an honest, great mechanic! There were several times that I took my car to Lumpp & Sons because some other car repair place told me that I needed to have major repairs done to my car, and in all of those cases, the repairs were not necessary. In one situation, I took my Toyota Sienna to Lumpp & Sons because the Toyota dealership told me that my car needed to have several repairs done to it that would have costed me at least $250. Patrick and his staff inspected my car and told me that there was nothing wrong with my car. He is very honest and friendly to work. I highly recommend Lumpp & Sons for their honesty, fair prices, and friendly attitude towards their customers.

Quick and affordable. Replaced my battery for free as it was covered under interstate battery warranty and just had to pay labor costs. Most importantly I got my car back the same day it was dropped off. Very friendly people working the front desk.

Had a engine coolant leak and since dogs love to drink ethylene glycol And I love my dog, I had to get it fixed. Lumpp diagnosed the leak as a water pump issue and expertly repaired it. Excellent service in a timely manner. Engine runs great !!!!!

Our check engine light came on when we were on our way to starved rock. Called this place 30 minutes before they closed on a Friday night & Patrick kindly told us to drop by so he could check the engine light to make sure it was nothing serious. Luckily, it was nothing serious & he gave us some great advice & we were on our way! Excellent service & we will definitely be back for future mechanic work.

Every single time I have to take my car in it is a stressful experience having to leave your car without knowing what it will cost to fix or how long it will take to fix, but since the first day that I brought my car to Lump and Sons, they put all of my worries at ease. They are always more than accommodating and really work with you on time. Pat is by far the most professional and trustworthy mechanic that i've ever had the honor of using! Found Lumpp & Sons through a google search after moving to the area and needing some car work done. The great reviews DO NOT LIE! Quick, Honest, Courteous, and even Caring! Patrick is like that Uncle we all wish we had. You know... that one that is great with car repairs, that will step-up and respond in a time of need/emergency, and has no complaints doing it? This will immediately feel like your place to go, for whatever your need is. Cannot say enough good to hold the weight this shop deserves. Patrick at Lumpp & Sons Inc was very nice and professional. I moved to the area a couple weeks ago and my car started making noises out of nowhere. A quick Google search for top rated mechanics in the area brought this location up. The service turn around time was quick, Patrick was friendly, and I felt like pricing was very fair. If you're in the area and need work done, definitely check them out.

I've only been there once for an oil change and the people were all very friendly and professional. They got me in and out quickly. I'll definitely return the next time I need any work done. UPDATE: I can't go into details but I can no longer recommend Lumpp and Sons. Briefly, they replaced the wrong brakes and when they finished working on my car, it was making noises it was not before.
