If I could give this place NO stars I would. This place is TERRIBLE and so is their service. Their fees are totally made up just to price gauge and scam you out your pockets. When my mom called to ask about the breakdown the man HUNG UP. My vehicle wasn’t even here for 48 hours and yet they charged me for 3 days of storage. A total of $680. They are closed Saturday and Sunday so you’re really screwed if it does get towed on one of those day. Oh you have to have an appointment to get your vehicle out and they are only open 8-3:30. A JOKE THIS PLACE IS. I watched this older lady, who took an uber by the way, be turned away instead of them helping her. Shame on you people for not helping her and lying to her face that you only take cash. You should be ashamed. Watched another man who worked there YELL at two men for going to the wrong door. How about just be kind and direct them to were they were supposed to go? Make sure you don’t get towed in any of the towns in these pictures. If they send Veterans ask for a different company or just get it towed directly to your house. I made sure to include their made up prices that they said the Villa Park police department “set”. I called the police department and determined THAT WAS A LIE. They charge an $80 gate fee for them to do their job and tow it into their “yard” that’s just a POS muddy lot by the way haha. $40 for them to do their paperwork job in the office. Oh and a $40 notification fee and don’t expect to be notified either. $20 for gas when they didn’t even take my car A MILE from Addison road to hill street? Okay? Yeah the BBB is next. I really don’t know how you’re still in business. Veterans should NOT be in your company name. I hope you feel so good about yourselves and I really hope West and Sons puts you out of business ?

Horrible customer service. My Mother is handicapped and couldn’t get help returning her car. Be warned, people behind the desk will not help you.

Would not let son get personal items out of vehicle without a fraudulent charge. Same as all other reviews. Anyone who was taken advantage of should file with the BBB. Don't see how this place stays in business.

Extremely rude and demeaning. Our car was rear ended and even more unfortunately was towed here (not by our choice). Owner stated we need to pay a large fee to get our own personal items from the car. Insurance company handling this case stated they have never heard of a towing company ever doing this. Extremely shady!!!

My car got disposed of less than a month being there. Don’t trust them. My car got impounded from a crash from a police cite. When I was figuring it out with insurance and about to release it, it got disposed of.

They are the worst towing company and give you hard time guy at front desk very unprofessional and doesn’t let me release my other car with other towing company because he has beef with them

Recently had a totaled corvette towed here after an accident. They were very helpful and friendly. Just call ahead and make an appointment. They even let us check out the car a second time the same day without a fee. I highly recommend this tow yard. A+ experience.

?WARNING: Hidden Fees, Misinformation, and Unprofessional Conduct My vehicle was towed to this location on July 5 by order of the Hinsdale Police Department. I spoke directly with Officer E. Rodriguez (Badge #7551), who clearly stated there was “no rush” to retrieve the vehicle. At no point was I informed that storage fees of $75 per day would begin immediately. By the time I learned about the charges, I had already accrued over $1,500 in fees without a single phone call, written notice, or warning from either the tow yard or the police. When I attempted to resolve the issue, neither party offered any assistance or accountability. The manager, Arteniz, responded with sarcasm and deflection, going so far as to say, “the cop lied.” Another staff member at the front desk was also openly dismissive and rude. Basic professionalism could be better. This operation feels less like a public service and more like a trap, profiting off people who were never told the rules. If you ever find yourself dealing with Veteran’s Towing Services in Villa Park, document everything and be prepared for a process that lacks transparency, empathy, or fairness. Let this review serve as a warning. You won’t get a second chance to avoid these fees and they’re counting on that. **Update 10/22/2025 Just received a letter in the mail 3 months later after the issue was resolved. I put out a dispute and they probably backdated this letter to try and cover themselves legally. If you deal with Veteran’s Towing Services Villa Park, document everything for your own records.

Time frame was a little brutal, 2 hrs, but they are cheaper than most and aren’t hacks. When using a tow service ask if you are getting charged from their garage to the pickup and then to the drop off. You shouldn’t be. I’d use them again.

I ran out of gas and tow was able to come within 20-25 minutes. He was friendly and took care of what I needed quickly. Thank you!

If I could put 0 stars I would. Do NOT go to veterans towing especially if you have liability insurance. My car was involved in an accident (that I was not even involved in) and when I pulled up on the scene of the collision I asked if i could remove items I needed from my car before they towed it in which they refused and said I could come pick them up at their towing lot. So when I did get a chance to go to their lot which was the next day since they close so early I was told I would have to pay over $300 to get items from my car because I have liability insurance and not full coverage. Had I had full coverage getting items would have been free LOL. I was even there to sign the car over to the insurance company that is taking care of everything and they wouldn’t even let me look at my car without payment. So I went to the police to review policies of towing companies in which they said they can’t hold items like licenses, things with money etc. Police told me I had to make an appointment to get my stuff with the towing company and when I called to do so I was asked how long I’d be there but upon arrival I wasn’t even allowed to look at my car. They tried to go get the items I needed for me and wouldn’t even let me go with them to just simply watch them get my things. I needed my title, receipts for work done on the car for the insurance claim and my apron and serving book for work. Those were the only things I was ALLOWED to get without having to pay over $300. I could not get any other personal items out of my car but “legal necessities”. The car is fully paid off and the title is in my name so they’re basically holding my property hostage at this point all because of an accident I had no parts in. Employees gave heavy attitude when they realized I was not going to pay to get personal items out of my fully paid off and insured car (woman at the front desk was rude in person and on the phone). This company quite literally found ways to scam people legally. If you’re ever involved in an accident don’t call them or get your personal items before they arrive lol

Would not give my very recently dead father’s bike back to my family. Kept it for over a week despite us wanting it back same day and charged us $1000 for holding it. Very rudely told my brother, who has the same name as my father and who went to pick it up that he “thought he was brain dead and on a ventilator.” Horrible people and horrible business.

A WASTE OF TIME!! If you’re already in distress DO NOT leave your car in their yard or even let the tow take your car! Not even 24 hours ago i was in an accident & deemed my car to be a total loss. The front and back of my car was crushed! I almost lost my life & just by looking at the damages you would’ve thought someone lost a life. The police towed my car to Veterans Towing while I was being rushed to the ER. All of my belongings ARE (present day) in the car - my clothes, my work necessities, my hygiene products , my food/snacks , my medicine , court documents etc. I came in understanding that I would have no problem gathering my things from the totaled vehicle per Dupage County Police Deputy Sheriff that was on the scene of the incident & emergency room. I was not at fault of this incident, I emailed the front desk lady my insurance information & because I didn’t have full coverage I was unable to retrieve my belongings, they said I can only take essentials (not including clothing or my hygiene products or food). My medicine/paperwork were in different bags & I did not want them to go through my belongs so I told them to bring my bags & not look through them. They were so concerned about me taking my clothes and my hygiene products that she walked away from the front desk & left me waiting thinking she was going to actually help. Another employee (an older tall white male) walks in but it’s one of the towers, while i’m walking out the door this employee forcefully closes the door on my foot & while i’m trying to get his attention to move he opens the door back up & slams it in mine & my mothers face, absolutely NO recognition of what he just did!!! Another man walks in & she’s all of a sudden at the front desk with paperwork (helping everyone else but the person that needs to get helped), he leaves & she’s there at the front desk , now she has another short lady with her telling her what to say & how to act - nothing is getting situated they jus seemed like mean girls jus giving dirty looks & refusing to help in anyway, we resulted in calling the police department in which i explained to them what was going on & they quickly resolved the issue by handing me my 2 full bags of paperwork & work supplies with 6 of my hygiene items . I wasn’t asking for much but my bags even though my whole life is (present day) in that car, we were there for 3 hours in 90° weather while there was sweat dripping down my face & yet they’re worried about a door being open in a small area with no ac unit ? *MIND YOU WAS JUST IN THE HOSPITAL NOT EVEN 24 HOURS AGO* This is an inhumane business don’t come here unless ur a robot with money to spend .

Terrible terrible terrible service. Unbelievable what they make you go thru. Deemed clothing not a necessity and held my belongings ransom. Very sad that I had to get the police involved to have them release my things. Thank you officers for coming out and helping me.

A fair and honest business. I called for service and spoke to an actual person, not a recording. The gentlemen that came out were super nice and helpful. And they arrived pretty quick, within the hour. They are in Villa Park

Veterans towing is an amazing business! We found a basketball hoop by my in laws but it was way to heavy to load into my father in laws truck, we also had no luck with moving company apps! Thankfully my MIL called and asked for some help and without hesitation they did! They also did not charge us which was BEYOND kind of them! My boys are going to enjoy this hoop for summers to come because of their help! If you ever need a towing company these are your people! Great company with good hearted people! ❤️??

WORSE SERVICE!!!! I remember the condition of my car. I had my keys and everything and everything inside was fine. When I got back my remote key was broken ( I believe they took out the remote from it) all my keys were missing and all my papers in the car were tossed out all over the passenger seat. Apart from that, 45 minutes before they close they deny to give the car, saying there’s no driver to drive out. They had me come 3 days in a row with a fractured leg to give me my car. First day, they asked my Fiancé to get the owner, he came back to get me, when we went back they denied to give saying there’s no driver. The other day when we came back, it’s a small space with no ventilation ( and the other guy was yelling to close the door), I am standing on my one leg, asking to give me my car, and they kept asking for insured towing company, when I said ok you guys drive it out now, the girl denied saying there’s no driver again at 2:50 pm whilst they close at 330. If they wanted to they could have informed about the process on first day. But unfortunately this is how they make money, by trying to keep your property with them for as long as possible. Worse behaviour and worse service.

They were incredibly helpful—more than they probably even realize. Being in an accident is never a good situation, but I’m truly grateful for the service they provided. As it turned out, the other person involved in the accident happened to be there at the same time, and since he wasn’t exactly pleasant, they made sure I was okay after exchanging words. That meant a lot to me

Told one price three times through the towing process and then given a different bill when he charged my card. Called manager and he gave different prices then the receipt and could not explain charges. Scam artists

The owners wife is the rudest lady I’ve ever met. She makes the place a complete joke. I came in asking about my car and she went straight to giving me attitude right away and said I needed an appointment and as soon as I started explaining, she put her hand to my face and waved it saying she doesn’t care what I had to say. I’m literally a supervisor in customer service and I’ve never had an interaction like that get to that point. Worst place. Terrible people. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!

Veterans has towed multiple vehicles for both my home and business. They are professional and friendly. Great to work with and we will ONLY call them when we need a tow. 5 stars all around!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this towing company. When I went to retrieve my belongings from my car, they were unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Despite the car title being under my name and everything clearly belonging to me, they initially refused to let me access my car. After much back and forth, I was finally allowed a few minutes to gather my items, but the staff (one named Laura and a shorter gentleman whose name I can’t recall) stood over me, monitoring everything I took out. This made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. If the vehicle and its contents belong to me, why was I treated like a criminal? This is not how customers should be treated. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their behavior was unacceptable, and I hope they reflect on how they treat people in the future.

I was told by Veterans Towing that I had till 3:00 pm to remove personals from my vehicle. When I came and was in my Prius, the owner came out at 2:30 pm and started cussing at me. He then went back on what I was told and kicked me out of the lot. I honestly felt he was about to resort to violence, and was very shaken. Lastly he commented that it wasn't even that important, that my car was just a Prius and to get out of his lot. There was only one respectable gentlemen working there. The rest were rude, aggressive, and threatening.

Where do I even begin. The place wouldn’t allow me to get my stuff out of my own car without paying a $400 few. Which is illegal. I kept asking how much do they charge per day and they said nothing, so I went to go get my car out yesterday, and the charge was over $500. They said it’s $100 per day. So I said that you guys said it was no charge. So I will be taking legal action in calling the authorities to get my $500 back. Because at least I should have been allowed to get my stuff from my car. I had a printer that I have just gotten, my work clothes, and my spare glasses. This place is a complete joke and a scam.

My buddy wrecked his car. He's OK-ish. It ended up here. Not OK. He let them keep it. Nice clean yard.

They were very supportive when we got my son's stuff out of his totalled car. They went out of their way to pop the trunk open so we could retrieve his tools, then let me drive into the yard to put our boxes of his stuff into my wife's car. At a very trying time for us, they didn't add more to our troubles.
