My neighbor recommended this place to me and I am glad that they did. I know nothing about cars, so it is always nerve wracking bringing my car to a shop. Everyone I interacted with in person or over the phone was kind, helpful, and straightforward. They fixed the issues I was having for a fair price and they did it quicker than I expected.
Passat needed emissions work. These guys took the job, was a pleasant and quick experience, and answered all questions and concerns. I've been to plenty of local mechanics with a few different vehicles, and these guys at Maple Grove are, hands down, the best in the area. Honest, friendly, reliable. Wish I heard of them sooner.
Very honest. I've had multiple cars to them and i wouldn't go anywhere else. Wont oversell you on something. Tell you what probably needs to get done and what can wait. My last post was 4 years ago and I still won't go anywhere else. Brought my car in no appointment wouldn't idle. I told Steve to take his time cause I knew they were busy cause the holiday. Got me all fixed up by the next day. Simple repair he said cleaned throttle body great price.
I'd guess we've brought cars in for repair there about 25 times over the last 25 years. Service, communication, ethics, expertise and reasonableness in pricing has been 100% on every trip. As a result we make the 20 mile round trip to get all of our medium or heavy duty service there.
These people are crooks.
My daughters car broke down on 355. Insurance called the tow truck and had it towed to the nearest garage. They tried to soak her for everything they could. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
A repair shop you can trust! Steve is very knowledgeable. He tells you what needs to be done to correct an issue and then does it at a fair price. You know your vehicle is in good hands! You can't go wrong bringing your vehicle to Maple Grove!
I had a warning light display on my 2016 Escape but I did not want to bring it into the dealer and have to wait and wait. I called this shop early in the morning, they were so polite. I brought it in, I was treated with exceptional courtesy including the offer of a ride home until the car was ready and a pick up when it was. The repair was made, thankfully minor and I was charged a more than fair price. I will use them again for sure!
I came here ONCE called 5 different shops and maple grove was the cheapest. So I took my car in everything was fine until last Thursday. I was having the same problems but worse. I drive 40 miles back n forth on the highway Sunday- Wednesday so this has been a major problem for me. Safe to say Ill be going to the dealership for real problems.. I might go here to get my breaks done but that’s IT.
These guys are good, fair, and honest, quite the trifecta. If you need the engine replaced on a 300, you've come to the right place. 2022 update: we've been taking various vehicles here for 15 years now and it's been nothing but positive the whole time. Thanks for all the great service guys!
Maple Grove Automotive is awesome. We ran over something on the highway and we stopped in and they helped us even though they were extremely busy. If we are in the neighborhood again we would use them. Great place!!!
I've been a customer of Maple Grove Automotive since about 1988. Their customer service is almost unrivaled. because they do such careful and thorough work and their prices are very competitive, although I have heard a few of them make racially insensitive remarks from time to time. That's an opportunity for them to improve their service. If they changed that, their service would be truly unbeatable.
All of their employees are honest and go above and beyond their duties in many ways to.provide great customer service. They will give you a ride to and from their garage when needed. I always take my cars there for mechanical or electrical problems, although I use discount tire services for tires and AAMCO for transmission work. I get my wheel alignment work done at Maple Grove Auto.

Ok so this was my go to place for a while. But I'm gonna move on. Overall they have very good mechanics and friendly to deal with honestly. They are better than most shops.
My issue was that I found out that they charge for repairs by the recommended hours in the repair manual and not the actual time worked on the car. If the time for the job listed is 4 hours and the mechanic completes it in 2, they still charge you 4 hours of labor. Obviously thats not that case with smaller repairs like brakes and other maintenance stuff but thats gonna play a part in bigger repairs.
Maybe thats ok for some ppl but I'm on a limited budget and at over $100 an hour, I don't have that luxury of not caring about overspending.
We have been using Maple Grove for automotive repair for more than 20 years. Steven and Bill are very honest and have never steered us wrong on our care repairs. They do quality work and go out of their way to make sure that we are satisfied with the repairs done to our cars. They stand behind their work 100 % and I highly recommend them for any vehicle repair.
This is what a mechanics shop is supposed to have...knowledgeable staff, professionalism, small town feel with big city skills!

I had my Honda towed in to this establishment on recommendations and they replaced my starter for a very reasonable price. Professional, efficient and fairly priced. After the work was done I called a few other shops for pricing to make this repair and Maple Grove was lower than the three I called. I’ll be returning this week to have a door latch repaired on another vehicle
These guys have pulled me out of a jam with my car twice. Not only beautiful service; but efficient, caring, and honest. Go here. It doesn't matter what's going on with your car, because they'll figure it out and fix it no problem.
Maple Grove consistently exceeds customer service expectations. I've had my vehicle in a few times, most recently an emergency. Bill and the rest of his employees went over and beyond to get my car looked at and fixed. They are absolutely great!

I've been coming here since 2012 for repairs and maintenance, bringing my previous and current car and I wouldn't go anywhere else! They are honest and straight forward. Mechanics I can trust! A major plus for me is that I can schedule an appointment, drop my car off in the lot the night before and speak to them over the phone about my car due to my work hours. And if you're there waiting for your car, they have coffee & they'll even show you and point out things about your car while it's on the lift. Can't beat that with a stick!
I've been working with Bill and his staff for 2 years now, and frankly, I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! They are honest and fair, and will do whatever it takes to fix an issue without trying to "milk" it. My car is 10 years old, and was experiencing errant shifting issues (going into "limp" mode), which were not coming from the transmission itself. (Bill even told me my trans looks great!!) After scouring over my car for a couple of days, working with transmission guys they were able to identify the issue and fix my car. Because this issue was so sporadic and did not involve a check-engine light, it was not something that was going to be found right away. They really could have said anything..."you need a new trans, you need a new control panel," on and on. But they started from the simplest thing first and I really appreciated it because it worked and didn't break my bank!!! Bill kept me informed the entire time they had the car, even talked me off the ledge a time or two. They are honest, skilled, and just a pleasure to deal with. They are not afraid to call in the calvary when needed, as they did in this case. Because of them, I know more about my engine than I ever thought I would...they educated me along the way so I know what to look for. I would recommend them to anyone, and will continue to give them my business, along with friends and family. I have faith that they will help me keep my 10-year-old baby running for awhile!!!
Maple Grove Automotive is an excellent business. Bill, the owner, and his staff are extremely helpful, honest and friendly and the pricing is reasonable. I only wish I found them years ago. Highly recommended.
