They towed my car from an accident scene when I called them so I can get my stuff out of the car, they told me my insurance would have to call them and okay it was the weirdest thing. The lady that answered the phone she was very rude and unprofessional. She even was rude to the insurance guy that talked to her.And told her that I didn't need to get permission to get into my own car.But for some reason, that's what she'd said, and she wanted to know what kind of insurance, I had, which wasn't relevant. She really makes it hard to get stuff done. I wanted to get my Review out there because I feel that she made it hard at a time when I was having a hard time already. Because of my car accident. Which it really didn't have to go that way. Long story short, go with a different tow company. Otherwise, you might have the same rudeness that I got. And from some of the reviews that I read a lot of other people have gotten i really don't see how They're in business with her entering the phone.

Called Lovett after waiting almost 5 hours in my car in a snowy ditch for my insurance's tow company that ultimately canceled on me (J&S Towing and Recovery). Robbie was on time, pleasant and professional, and charged me a VERY reasonable fee. If I need a towing company in the future I'll be calling them and gladly paying out of-pocket.

After a major snow event I called for a tow due to a flat tire that would not accept air. Robbie arrived in a short amount of time, hooked my car up, and delivered us both to the repair destination. I felt very well taken care of and would definitely use them again for service. Thank you!

My band and I had our van+trailer break down on the highway at 2am the day before thanksgiving. These guys were able to get a driver out within a couple hours to tow the whole rig as well as relocate all 6 of us. They got it fixed the same day and the towing/repair pricing was very reasonable. Lovetts went above and beyond in taking care of us!

Recently had to get Lovetts out for a tow after an accident. They were quick to respond, the drive was professional and the cost was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them, as they made a stressful situation a lot easier.

Worst towing company on the planet. Won’t let me take photos after a car accident. Will not let me grab my belongings and asks for 800$ just to do so. And still charge you for THEIR closed business hours on the weekend. The only reason this place is in business is because of Dekalb PD 100%. Disgusting

Ok- so sometimes the gal up front isn't exactly the most bubbly (I am sure all the people pissed about their car getting towed because they park in tow zones are always nice to her**sarcasm**)... But she's never been rude to me or my wife. She always responds with "I will get someone out there." And they show up- so I can't get mad at that. We have used Lovett's at least 3 times in the past few years for towing. Drivers have always been polite, professional, and courteous. Matt towed me today after a blowout since my car doesn't have a spare. I was dropped off at home and then my car was ran to my shop of choice (Brown's in Rochelle). The vehicle was in the same shape as I left it, and it wasn't roughed up when handled by the driver. As far as price, I can't complain. They gotta get paid, and I'm not going through the pageantry to tow my own vehicle from wherever. Thanks again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Horrible customer service. The lady does not know how to talk to people horrible Over the phone manner. Doesn’t even let you speak Or get a sentence out If you hate Your job that much and don’t know how to speak to people find a new job. Do better The behavior was so disgusting.

Rude customer service. I was just trying to get some pictures of my car after it got towed for my insurance. The lady has the gall to tell me, I cant see it nor be near it. Terrible service. I already paid them the fine and still wouldnt let me near.

This service is the worst, Crappy people with attitude and lots of hate, they need to learn how to run a business properly and treat their customers with respect. My sister got charged $5000 for their car and they threatened her if she didn’t move it they were going to charge her more. If the reason was that one of their family members passed away doesn’t mean you should have an attitude towards your customers.

Whoever answers the phone during the week is extremely rude. She couldn't let me finish a sentence without talking over me. She actually told me to "stop talking." She didn't like it when I told her she was terrible at customer service. She even tried to call my wife for some crazy reason. For a company that is getting $65 per day from my insurance company, they need to be a lot more respectful.

My car was towed today, and the whole experience was terrible. The staff were completely unhelpful and inhuman—when I offered to pay via Zelle, they refused and insisted I go get cash. On top of that, the fees increase by $50 if you’re even half an hour late, and by $100 if you wait a full day. Their attitude and charging practices are completely unacceptable. I honestly hope this company goes out of business!!!!

Customer service was not very kind. Called to ask a few questions and was cut off by the employee twice and she had a hostile tone. I had a nice tone and was friendly so I was confused why she answered so rudely.

Worst company ever! My daughter had an accident and this company towed her car. When we asked how much was it going to be to take the car out they refuse to give us a price and demanded to talk with the insurance first. When were trying to get my daughter's belongings they said it was going to be $800 just to get her things out even though we were going to let them have the car. Worst people ever!

Front desk lady must be the offspring of satin himself constently cutting me off and hagning up on me not to mention telling me im not inshured when im completly inshured and have had my inshurence company call coutless times this will be the first and last time i use there service and i would advise everyone else to do the same.

Muse Lovett several times before in the past. They're not the cheapest but they are the fastest and that is a big difference for most times that I'm in trouble. I blew a tire hitting a bolt on route 88. Called them up. They were able to get there in 20 minutes. They jacked up the car put in the spare and I was able to make it to Naperville on time. You know having the proper tools to to put on the spare is just so much time. I didn't want to be changing it since it was on the driver side and you know I'm always worried about getting hit or sideswiped. But they see the tow truck and the lights that's people actually did get over and that's the difference of maybe not getting hit or getting the tire fixed successfully. Incredibly unethical practice in line with the city of Dekalb. woke up Saturday found our car towed in the night as soon as my wife and I called the we were greeted by a very rude woman who we had to pry information out of just to get our car out before we had a ridiculous storage fee

Weird experience here, I’m not sure how to feel. I was in an accident where I was not at fault, so all of my services have been done through the other party’s insurance (Allstate). My car was towed to Lovett’s on 05/29/2025 bright and early. By the afternoon, I was told by Allstate that the tow yard was “strange” and not allowing them to pick up my car to bring it to the collision shop. The woman I spoke to from Lovett’s assured me that I won’t personally need to pay anything and urged me to let the insurance company argue it out. By Monday, 06/02, I got a call from Allstate that they would be moving my car that day. I figured all was well. But on Wednesday, 06/04, I was told by Allstate that they still hadn’t moved my car because this company was being difficult regarding payment. But when I spoke to the same woman from Lovett’s on Thursday morning, she said that Allstate themselves was refusing to pay. I ended up having to bring a cashier’s check to pay for the short tow from Lovett’s in DeKalb to Gerber in Sycamore… I am unsure of who is the difficult one in this scenario. The single staff person I’ve spoken to was friendly and helpful, but I’d beware as I have never heard of an experience like this one.

Front reception is the rudest person in customer service, will cut you off when talking, stated "we don't make mistakes." But was completely wrong and then wanted to kiss A, when she was proven wrong. Also did not want to provide proof of being towed and had to speak with someone else in the office who COULD ACTUALLY HELP US. Sorry your life sucks lady maybe you should choose a different job path if you can't handle speaking with respect to your customers regardless of the situations.

If there was a way to give no stars I would have opted for that. Their website says they have friendly staff that help, I guess those associates don’t work on Mondays. This company is horrible and it’s sad that they service a college town. I spoke with the front desk person who didn’t provide her name and Beverly who was a “manager” both lied about having a website and were unable to provide pay practices in writing. Their website list several payment options but they deny accepting anything but cash or cashier check for college tows, seems a little discriminatory. The manager went as far as hanging up because she refused to answer questions that were being asked. In all my life I’ve never received such deplorable service. The staff refused to accurately answer simply questions like, do you have a website, what are your payment policies, can you provide this information in writing? If they would lie about something so simplistic as a website I’m certain they lie to others that patronize this business for repairs or other services. The company overall is stuck in the 1900 with the inability to accept electronic payments or perform website payments as an option for towed vehicles. But with their track record that was probably just more lies. Based on the prior I can’t understand how they want people to believe they can repair cars when at minimum they can’t answer the phone professionally, provide their name, and be honest. Hopefully the owner has better integrity and quality service delivery and hires better staff. But the review rating says enough, they’re trash and definitely need prayer, professional development, and investigation of their practices. I informed Beverly I would be placing a review and she expressed that she doesn’t care, so clearly she’s proud of her behavior please be careful of this company.

Had a very smooth and successful experience with this company after one of our fleet vans was in an accident. They were timely, friendly, and professional. Would have no problem calling them if I needed their services.

I love this company and will always use them. I called all the local Dekalb and Kane county Tow truck companies and no one wanted to handle my situation. UNTIL I CALLED Lovetts! The lady dispatched a truck and they were here in 30 minutes. Super fair price for the expertise. ROBBIE THE DRIVER KNOWS WHAT HES DOING! Give that guy a raise!

Horrible customer service. Called to ask about a tire replacement as I have a flat and their website states they will bring a new tire for emergency replacement. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and acted like I was stupid for even asking. I explained that their website states they offer this type of service and she said “No it doesn’t” and hung up on me. Screenshot attached shows exactly where their website states the service I was asking for. Please update your website and hire nicer people.

I know it sucks to go get in your car and it's NOT there!! My car died and I had no choice but to park in a spot until morning when I could get a jump. To get back to my car and it not be there made for a bad day! If I had to pay the penalty, I can honestly say these people were SO nice and understanding it didn't make me mad at them at all! Thank you for your kindness, your kind words and understanding! Give'em break!!! If you see a sign that has a tow phone number and you choose to park there take the fine and don't be rude! They are only doing their job! Thank you! ?

Car was towed even though the parking pass was visible. The lady that answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional. She seems as if she doesn’t like her job. Which isn’t anyone problem but her’s. After arriving and asking for pictures of the car she gave me blurry ones. After asking for clearer ones she said it’s ” against their policy”. So why would you take the pictures in the first place? After finally paying 230$ to get the car, the parking pass was very visible on the dashboard. This place is extremely money hungry & they don’t pay attention to anything. Dekalb needs a new towing company. Apparently Lovetts aren’t making enough since they go around towing cars that visibly has the right to park there and following it by saying “ it wasn’t visible to us”. Oh and she also hung up after calling to check to see if they took the pictures & saying “ I told you I would call you back after” in a rudely & loud manner & hung up.

I can't say enough good about Lovetts Towing. They answered the phone and the lady was very nice and helpful. She got the information needed and dispatched someone to help immediately. We were in a bind and needed help. The gentleman who came (very quickly) could not have been nicer or more helpful. He solved our problem in minutes and patiently explained to me how our brand new complex RV diesel starting system worked and saved the day (and our trip). Every time I have called Lovetts I have been delighted with their professionalism and their service. Can't say enough good about them and I'm just glad they. do business in my home town.

When someone calls for a tow, they are in a bind. When I called Lovetts, the lady that answered was extremely rude! She was cutting me off and being so nasty when all I wanted to do was ask for help. If this is how they greet customers who call for help, I can't imagine how their service can be any good. I will never ever call them and I will sure recommend others don't either. I called Accurate and they were very kind and helpful and had a super nice guy out to me in less than 30 minutes.

I was very hesitant on the service me and my partner were going to get after reading the reviews. My partner was involved in a single accident a couple of weeks ago. Which Lovetts Towing came to put the car on a flatbed because the vehicle was totaled. Because of our work schedules conflicted us from going to salvage our belongings in the vehicle. We let the towing fees increase and which we knew we had to pay it off. We spoke to Carrie who is the office manager and she was very polite and very understanding and was able to freeze the fees from increasing until this week to come get our belongings out the vehicle. When we got to the company yesterday. We were told that the fees were going to be almost $1000 but they worked hard for just a settlement amount of $600. We were very pleased with the professionalism and even got a bit of history from the mechanic that helped us get things out of our vehicle. The whole experience yesterday was so pure and helpful. We both were satisfied with the efforts of the staff and I would like to say thank you to the Lovetts Team for such a pleasant experience during such a rough time. God Bless
