Look at the customer service reviews with this company. Going back year after years. I will not recommend a company that this is accepted business practice. The common theme is to blame the customer. After ordering the correct part from another company for $10 less, it also arrived much faster.

They sent an invoice that showed a shipping charge of $28. A separate charge of $47 appeared on my Visa card. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately I had purchased a front bumper for one of my two 1965 Pontiac GTO’s back in late September and I after a call from the body shop the other day saying my car is done they notified me that there was a defect in the bumper “thinking I could exchange it” but unfortunately I bought it through e-bay, not knowing any better (third party) after multiple attempts to notify them through phone, and I did get one answer from parts place a repetitive saying it’s out of his hands and to call e-bay and I’ve sent them countless messages to e-bay and parts place even offering to send picture but still no reply. I paid $759.00 and even though I’ve bought parts before over the years from parts place without any issues but no more will I buy from them again Not even the courtesy to acknowledge my comments. I’ll stick with Aims and NPD

Although my order started out in the wrong direction, meaning there were parts of the "The Air Cleaner Kit" missing The Parts Place responded without question sending me the missing parts at no additional cost. They also stepped up and corrected a miss matched Air Cleaner Base and Air Cleaner Flange by shipping an additional Air Cleaner Flange that was manufactured by the same company as the base so the Base and the Flange fit together.

I placed an order, but received a notification a day later that the item was not in stock. So, I called to cancel the order and asked for a confirmation. The guy on the other end said there was no way to do that. I said there had to be a way because I wasn't going to allow this to be hanging out there. He argued with me, told me to "go away", and hung up on me. I called back, someone else answered the phone, and sent me the cancellation confirmation. Something similar happened a few weeks ago. I will NEVER order from The Parts Place EVER again!

Ordered a driver door main window switch for a 1970 Cadillac Deville Convertible and decided to add on a passenger window switch to save on shipping. Never received the driver door switch and was sent the passenger door switch which does not fit the 1970. I was charged full shipping and when called to let them know I received the wrong piece they stated that sometimes people use them for other things and I could pay to ship it back and they would credit me for the part. Now I'm stuck paying $26 for a $5 wrong item....

I bought about seven or $800 worth of parts for my AC and I have leaks all over the place as a previous people. I had the money to buy the parts and then I had to save the money to put them in by a reputable shop and they leak and I have no recourse do not buy the stuff on eBay from them. Try getting a hold of them it’s absolutely impossible and I know they’re not gonna take these parts back.

Bought a steering column for my 1972 Monte Carlo 2 years ago this month cost $889.99 plus shipping i am building the car finally getting around to putting it in and it does not work called them and they say there is nothing they can do about it. I find a guy locally to go thru it cost me another $350.00. I have spent a lot of money at the parts place they will never get my business again the guy i talked to was rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only reason they get one star is you have to a star to leave a review. The ignition lock actuator gear was missing 2 teeth and old rusty screws among other things.

The headliner in my 1985 El Camino had to be replaced and after much searching for a replacement I contacted The Parts Place Inc. . These guys were terrific,they located a supplier and in a short time I received a perfect headliner.but the story doesn't end there, ten months after being installed the fabric suddenly just released from the structure.. I contacted The Parts Place inc. and this guy John said I'll see what I can do and get back to you. This was the 24th of June, Today ,July 8 th ,I received the new replacement headliner ! I am not only very pleased but also amazed with the excellent customer service given that is unfortunately lacking in our country these days. So complements to The Parts Place. Great people to do business with , I truly appreciate and respect this company.

Just a heads up. Don’t be surprised if when you Finalize your order and get charged that a few days later they’ll charge you nearly $100 more more for shipping than you initially paid. I ordered a product from them yesterday With a shipping of $110 and then got an email that it Changed to $205 for shipping. Boy was I surprised when I got an additional $95 charge from them. Their response was the computer can’t calculate shipping costs Which if true is about the only company I’ve ever heard that has that problem.

When The Parts Place finally received their supply of lug nuts I ordered, they notified me and shipped them immediately. The lug nuts are a perfect fit and match the original style. Their service has been great!

No company gets it right 100% the first time every time... but every company has the chance to make it right 100% of the time. Placed my first order with Parts Place excited for my restoration project. Upon arrival an item was broken in packaging. A simple email to sales and a couple of photos, the item was replaced with direct shipping from the manufacturer due to low inventory at the warehouse. How easy and great was that? Everything else bought looks great and was as listed. Excited for my restoration project on a 76 Camaro and happy to keep Parts Place as a vendor for me. Thanks again for the amazing post sales support and keeping me 100% satisfied with my purchases. Here's to a longer partnership through the process.

I ordered a spoiler from the parts place. $270 The hardware is separate of course $28 I received the order and it doesn’t fit. I leave feedback stating so ! I finally call the phone number and figured out I need a $109 filler plate. And im sure no hardware with it either. He says you left negative feedback and hung up on me. They want $60 to ship back the spoiler and $8 to ship back the hardware. They both came in same box? It was NOT a good experience and so far i spent $300 for nothing. Costed them nothing And after several days or week or so when I get whats left of my money back ! Thank you John for hanging up on me

A few years ago, I bought a gallon of GM paint. I thought it was odd that I didn't get a shipping price when I checked out, and kept my fingers crossed that it wasn't going to be a fortune, but it came out to be very reasonable. Fast-forward to recent times: I wanted to get a bunch of bulky sheet metal parts. Doing my research I found that OPGI had the best prices and had 1 exclusive part no one else had, so I went to order and BOOM! The freight was almost the same price as the parts! What the frick. I remembered my experience with Parts Place and even though the part prices were slightly higher, and I mean barely 2%, after you calculate freight, I saved almost $800 over the other jokers. Everything shipped quickly and came as expected. I incorrectly ordered a part. They took the return, and credited my credit card 3 hours after the tracking showed delivered. The replacement part arrived the day before my return even got to them! Their shipping department and customer service are great. I will go here first from now on for any future parts orders. DO Not Purchase These any Hoods from this company. I ordered a hood for my 71 cutlass supreme and the hood does not fit on my car at all. It’s very lumpy and has bumps and it’s worlpd all around the hood. The Parts Place manager told me to send pics and that they would return it. I received a email saying this❌❌ I won’t my money BACK!! The Better Business Bureau (BBB) and making a complaint if the don’t let me return there hood and Yelp. We have reviewed your request, unfortunately it is a fiberglass part and requires work to fit to the vehicle. Please refer to our imperfection policy below. Imperfections: In regards to fiber glass panels: Fiber glass panels are inspected and cautiously packaged to protect against damage that may occur during shipment. However, fiber glass panels may have chips, gouges, waves, cracks or other minor imperfections which are considered normal characteristics due to the production and shipping of these parts. These minor imperfections are simply corrected during the filling, priming and sanding phases of your fiber glass installation. We do not consider chips, gouges, waves, cracks or other minor imperfections on the fiber glass to be defects in the panel nor are they considered damaged. I got the shipping informations daily by ups. It took only 7days!!! to get my 48 year old tray from parts place. A Lot of thanks to the parts place!!! oliver from bavaria, germany...

I needed a $12 part, but they required a $25 minimum order. So I literally spent the next twenty minutes looking for whatever to spend another $13. Received an order confirmation showing all was well, then the 3 days later I get an email saying the one thing I needed ($12 item) was no longer available and they refused to cancel the order, telling me it was "too late" so I bought $13 worth of things I didn't need, plus another $15 for shipping. And they wonder why I got upset about it... After posting this review, the retailer honored their end of the sale.

Tried to purchase some small simple items from Year One and was shocked at the ransom pricing for shipping on orders below a certain amount. Checked with The Parts Place and not only were the same items less costly but the freight was a very reasonable amount. Next time I am going straight to the Parts Place for my needs.

Excellent customer service and very fast shipping of items ordered. Received order as promised within a week. Quality and price of parts exactly my as described. I would highly recommend The Parts Place for classic car parts. There are some well known classic parts companies I have ordered from in past with year long issues in shipping product and still no resolution. 12 month and still order not complete and The Parts Place has them to me in 7 days thanks to the support team my project can resume again. Parts were in stock, shipped the next day. Had an issue with one of the parts and customer service was great. They took care of the issue and shipped me a new part out the next day. It is very nice to deal with a company that is responsive and takes pride in their products.

Very unhappy with the parts place e-commerce store. I ordered 2 items that I needed and agreed to the overpriced freight. Before I received a shipped notification I asked to cancel the order, they said that the 1 item had already shipped and charged the full freight. You would think that if they could only ship part of your order they would let you know prior to shipping a small portion. Terrible business practice With the length of your agreement, it seems you have covered yourself in all ways. It seems like you are covering yourself for poor customer service.

I’ve bought parts here a few times over the years. If you are within a few hours drive of their location it’s nice to be able to inspect parts before paying for them. I wanted to take few measurements on a full quarter panel since the one I bought at another company didn’t fit and they were accommodating. I’ve read a few reviews that complain about stuff being “overseas junk”. I’ve got news for you, just about every piece of reproduction sheet metal is stamped overseas.

BUYER BEWARE!! The parts they sell are very damaged. When contacting The parts Place after I received my damaged parts that were shipped damaged, (shipping box was perfect) AND they openly admitted sending damaged parts!!?? ....They told me this was a common problem, that their supplier sends these products to them damaged, that I could take a rubber mallet to the sheet metal and fix it myself!??? REALLY? Basically not their problem. VERY POOR attitude and treatment of customers if you ask me. They lost a customer for life! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! Your throwing your money out the window and will NOT be happy with their quality, service or anything else they offer, trust me from experience! (RECENT response from owner) :Response from the owner a week ago We never buy any damaged parts and resell them; this sounds completely ridiculous. We are not sure where you came up with this info, but no one here would tell you any of this! REPLY: It does sound completely reticuloses to me as well, but this is the EXACT response I received from your place of business! I have documented pictures I will post up of the damaged items I purchased, damaged prior to shipping because the product was securely shipped to me. I was told these items were shipped to your business in bulk, and are ALWASY damaged in this process, and it can be fixed by me beating the corners of the metal panel back down!! This is for the under hood panel for the ram air I just spent close to $800 on. Its bad enough to get damaged products, its even worse when it comes with a poor attitude from a place of business that offers no help with problems stemming from their unethical operation. Apparently you responded to my review because its helped over 7 people, its informed several others so they wont fall for your less than quality products, products you call parts, and what I call scrap metal, and less than desirable attitudes on top of that. Perhaps you should be putting your time and efforts into quality control at your facility, rather than spending your time responding and blatantly lying here to defend yourself. I truly hope people spending their hard earned monies shop elsewhere to avoid this entire headache I had to endure! Pictures below to show everyone the horrible quality of their parts. Worst company I have dealt with in my entire time of restoring vehicles. The disgruntled associate not attempting to help me over the phone really shouldn't be working with the public that helps keep your business going. He likely will be the cause of the doors closing. Uncooperative, rude, minimal knowledge of the poor quality parts they take customers for at a premium price, unintelligent, blamed me for their inability to supply needed hardware and told me to just run to my local store to get them. Great service. I found a quality part from a company that understands customer service is key to success. He was knowledgeable, kind, professional, and is supplying all parts needed to complete the project. I will do my part to spread the word to all my friends in the industry and have already started. The parts place is a terrible company with poor quality parts and a really horrible individual answering the phone who shouldn't be in any customer service role. Buyer beware. This place is a rip off.

Ordered a part for 500$ it came damaged, once I sent them the pictures of the damaged part I was told to deal with it. They use ups to ship and ups is just as sorry as them. I wouldn't order a hot wheel from this place. They think that I am going away but I am not I am going to set a a web browser to follow them so when someone Orders from them my sorry comes up. I am also going to put ups on blast as well.

I recently purchased 2 fenders for a 1970 olds cutlass from The Parts Place. When I received them one was damaged beyond repair (see attached photos). I called The Parts Place to let them know one was damaged in shipping and to see about getting another one shipped to me. They automatically said it’s not their responsibility and referred me to the shipping company’s damage claim department. I went through the process to file a claim and never received a response from them. I called The Parts Place back to see if there was something we could do about this. They basically refused to talk to me and said it was “my problem with the shipper and not theirs”. I replied back to them stating “I did not choose the shipping company I had nothing to do with it other than purchasing the fenders”. I was forced to buy another fender from a different supplier and discard the one I got from them. I would never buy another part from The Parts Place again. I would suggest that anyone thinking of doing business with them use discretion and Buyer Beware. They do not stand behind what they sell. I have never seen a company treat customers like this before. Terrible company to do business with stay away from them.
