The Best! Cannot recommend Mike's Garage enough. I had a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that just always seemed to find new headaches to give me, no heat in just the drivers side, check engine lights for multiple reasons, ticking noises (thing was close to a bomb). Started taking it to Mike's and all issues were resolved timely and at a very reasonable price. The team takes their time to review ALL options with you once inspections are finished, with multiple paths forward depending on your budget. Very honest and just great people that perform quality work!
Came in as a first time customer today. Called around noon, brought the car in asap, and was fit into the schedule soon enough to be able to grab the car before 5pm. My a/c is fixed and I'll definitely be coming back again to Mike's! Bonus points: everyone at the shop is very nice and are a joy to talk to, which is noteworthy after just a short visit

Mike is awesome, service is great, he's so honest and straightforward. We took our 2012 Jeep Wrangler to him with a slew of problems. Jeep was fixed and fairly priced. We found our new go-to mechanic!
Mike’s Garage is the best mechanic around, hands down. He and his staff fixed multiple problems with our vehicles over the years. Always honest, upfront, reliable, efficient, and provides outstanding work. Recently Mike went above and beyond to help my stranded teen with a suspected dead battery and was incredibly understanding about new driver error (battery was fine). I found Mike after one too many suspiciously large repair bills from the local Toyota dealership, and brought him the list of what supposedly needed to be done - about half were completely unnecessary.
Since that day I don't bring my car anywhere else - he's a great guy who provides an honest service at a fair price - couldn't recommend him more.
Brought my car to Mike, only local shop I will ever use again. Very attentive to detail, was very thorough. He explained everything and showed me what my car needed. Repairs were done quickly and at a very reasonable price.
Mike and his crew have maintained my vehicles for at least the last 5 years. Today I had a dead truck (1999) and he had a good battery for a great price. All ready to go for winter now. I also had tire pressure issues on another car (2016) and in a jiffy he had it all fixed. Always pleasant, always good work at fair prices.
I was just about to leave on a 4x4 trip in realized I had a bad axle. I probably called 20 places and no one could get me in quickly for a job like that. I explained to the owner how badly I need this done quickly and his response was "drop it off, we'll squeeze you in". He knocked it out asap so I had him replace all my fluids and do a full inspection where he ended up seeing I needed new brake pads in the front. Great guy, great service. We have now been back with all 3 of our vehicles. Highly recommended if you want a job done right!!
I took my car into Mike because of brake issues. He called and said the brake line ruptured and gave me a few options. Got my car repaired quickly and kept me updated on the progress. He was super honest and cost was reasonable. I cant thank Mike enough.
We have been using Mike's Garage for years now, for Company cars as well as personal cars, from simple oil changes to repairs and now for replacing front bumper and brackets on our Company van. Always excellent work, honest feedback and recommendations (i.e. still enough tread on tires, wait with replacements) and all of it at very competitive rates. A repair shop you can really trust!
This shop is truly one of a kind and genuine. I was having a car issue with my 2013 Equinox at the end of January and I called and they squeezed me in. The owner called told me what they believed the issue to be and gave me honest advice as if he were talking to his own daughter. Mike has been a blessing. Stuck with bad service from nearby Firestone and NTB, I got a recommendation from my employer that Mike had a reputation for being honest to customers and fair with pricing. After visiting and having my 2010 Chevy Aveo inspected, Mike quoted me for much less than other businesses did. I got the sense that Mike cared about his customers and wanted to build trust as he did not quote me something ridiculous like the aforementioned businesses. After the repairs were finished, Mike informed me of how to maintain my vehicle so that this kind of damage wouldn't happen again (reduce speed, avoid potholes, drive smart, etc.). The reviews by others on Mikes Garage were spot on. Mike provided an extremely competitive estimate and completed the work within the timeline that he had set (same day service). The shop is clean and organized. I also appreciated that they used OEM parts (no aftermarket parts). I generally like to do my own repairs, but in the future when I feel as though I over my head, I now know that I have somewhere I can go to get repairs made by and honest and extremely capable repair shop. WOW is Mike awesome. I feel I have been around the block once or twice and dealt with many mechanics. But Mike is one of the most honest trustworthy mechanics I have ever met. I am a car buff, always have been and always will be. My current car is a Dodge Viper and I have no concerns bringing it to him and he not only services it well, he understands a car guys mentality. I have him service all my cars and even though I tell him to just fix them, he still gives a courtesy call every time with the costs and details prior.
After moving here from North Carolina 5 years ago, a neighbor highly recommended Mike. Grateful to have him and his crew to trust and take care of mine and my daughters cars. Always being fair and educational. He is the Arlington Heights shop that you recommend over and over to family, friends & neighbors!
Walked in on a rainy day due to my wiper blades not working properly and was rejected immediately. The excuse was that he he (assumed Mike) just came back from vacation and was booked. A good business person would have very have taken a quick look at the problem or at least be courteous and provide a time to come back. I guess he didn't want my business.
I went next door to First Point Auto Repair and Hispanic guy was kind enough to take a quick look at the problem. He took no more than 5 minutes to diagnose my problem and suggested I leave the car so he can take a closer look.
Moral of the story, be nice to your customers or don't be in the business of customer service.
