First they told me the part would be available Friday, then Monday, then Tuesday afternoon. They never called me to update me I had to keep calling and the part was finally available 30min before closing on Tuesday so it was a whole week to get a radiator
And when I finally got there it was the wrong one Then they tried to tell me no refunds only store credit and they would keep wasting time trying to find another one
Just got off the phone with them. I was looking for a 04 astro HVAC module. I wish I got the guys name, but he was breathing into the phone and I could not understand anything he was saying. I asked him to please repeat what he said, and he just exploded, started yelling and in the end said: "do you understand me now?"
People like that should not be answering phones or dealing with customers. Whatever is going on with this employee he shouldn't bring it to work. I feel bad that whatever he's going through he is taking it out on others.
I own an automotive school, we have done lots of business with them in the past. I will no longer use them again. No one should be treated this way. I will also tell my students that come in here and are looking for used parts to never use them either.
I recommend Northlake, San Pancho, Robbins, and Englewood. Great customer service. I'll pay more for that than being treated badly.
Great customer service. I just recently started going there for used auto parts and I've had only great experiences with high-quality parts. They are very fair price and very quickly pulled the parts that you need if they are still in the vehicle. Update.... I have still been continuing to do business with this company and to this day I have had only positive experiences. I highly recommend doing business here. As a mechanic there are a few parts that I will look for used for my customers and every time that I do recommend them this is the only place that I highly recommend. Not only do they sell high quality parts but they honor their warranties if at any time there is an issue with the part that was purchased.
Tony is the man he fixed my 2006 dodge charger rt Daytona I had a blown engine and he removed and installed and fresh used engine get at Tony for all trustworthy installs
Really helpful and awesome customer service! They brought over a power brake booster for my 01’ Acura MDX that was 400 miles away in 2 days! Reasonable price for junk parts. The part was also in good condition and works!
Hey Guys, I don't recommend you buy an engine from them at all. I bought two engines, both had problems. When you come to them, they don't take responsibility for their goods.
This place is horrible! I called and placed an order for a Black 2013 Dodge Avenger fender, on Saturday June 21st, 2025. The operator looked and said they "only have a blue one on stock for $175", I confirmed i wanted it. She placed the order and told me to come pick it up on Monday June 23rd, 2025. I just walked in their office, not only she didn't put in my order, Toncar Auto Parts LLC don't even have the part in stock at their location or any other warehouses they might have. They took zero accountability.
Worse salvage yard in Chicago communication does not exist at all at this place management has zero clue what going on call Friday in the am place an order for a door Order was confirmed call on Saturday they stated the car was crush !! Please don’t shop here!!
One of the best used cars parts sellers near Chicago IL I had a wrong part and the business stayed open after 6:00 pm to make sure that I received the right part.
Came to Toncar to get an engine done for labor originally they told me 7-10 days. They finished my car in 3 days I could not be more happy with the job runs beautiful no problems. I would recommend Toncar auto parts and their helpful staff.
I agree stay away from this place they sold me a engine for my truck put it in and it was leaking oil and then they act like they didn’t wanna fix the oil leak brought the truck bad they replaced the seal and guess what it was still leaking oil
Ok everyone just a FYI DO NOT pay for your parts with these people until you see your part and make sure you get a second opinion because it is other companies that are cheaper than them they only do store credit and who want that if you don’t have the car anymore Al the views you see they all right about them they need to go out of business because they are over charging our people
Absolutely useless business, order a part (abs unit), paid for it, they never delivered it. It’s already 1 month, can’t get my part or money, they always say tomorrow. Never work with them
Totally a worst place to buy any car parts. Firstly i was cheated by an old man and his mechanic who drive me to this place to buy transmission for 2004 maxima & my car was broke down in the middle of road twice. Changed transmission 3 times and car doesn't drive. Finally i gave back my car for a cheap dead price to the one who sold me. Do not ever go to Ton cars for any purchase. They are very rude & will never pick your calls.
Completely unreal with the terrible service and the way they handle business. I had purchased an engine for a customer, and on the same day canceled it before any work could get done. They still take it out, and after months of trying to get a refund they still wanted to charge me a 500 restocking fee for an engine that had never left their building. I will file against this company through the BBB and I suggest anyone else that has dealt with this do the same. This is what puts a bad name on the autmotive/parts field.
Worst place to buy a part from called and spoke to them told them I was coming two hours to find me a door when I got there. He told me it wasn’t there. It’s at another place which is two hours away. And then he’s gonna lie and say you asked about color, this business should be closed

Worse place ever stay away from here. They assured me for two weeks they would find a used part for me every day for two weeks it was tomorrow or the part pulled was no good. I was supposed to get charged a deposit And was charged full price on a part they were not even able to get! This was about a month ago and they still have not refunded my money. I have called multiple times it does not take that long to return the money of something that was never received!!!! I don’t think this place has bad reviews for nothing. The owner or management should step up!!!!!!!!!! Then the guy I talked to had the nerve to say he was looking for the part elsewhere and had already paid another junk yard for the part so they can get it for me I guess like a 3rd party and I would receive my money when the other junk yard refunded them back. I was working directly with toncar on getting the part that has nothing to do with my refund. This place is a scam!!
One and done for me ordered a engine, which was fine. Called several times in the past two months for them to pick up the core. I was told "they will get it when they get it". And they will not send a driver just to pick up a core. Then I was told that I could bring my own core in that weighs over seven hundred pounds!!! This place is a joke. Do not buy parts or do business with these people. They are very unprofessional.
Had ordered for a specific axle, they gave me the wrong one, and refuse to own up to their mistake. The listing AND paperwork lists one thing, but they gave me the opposite and insist they gave me what I asked for. Their only options to me were either in-store credit or an exchange (if they have the part). I live over 70 miles away. They refuse to give a refund because it's "store policy", even though it was THEIR mistake.
My car had an engine knock and I was told by Toncar that the engine has internal damaged , after I paid Toncar to get the engine replaced which I think they never did because the engine was knocking when I went to pick up the vehicle. Tony who is the manager (OWNER) of this business told me that he's going to replace the engine again at no cost, but this issues was back on 2022 and since then my car still in the shop. This is the worse place I've ever seen, it's more then 2 years and they still trying to get the engine replaced and they don't want to give me the money back. Failed complain with General attorney and BBB
I have a small car dealership in Madison Wisconsin called We But-N2 Autos LLC And I went to Toncar in chicago on Lake St the people were so nice and the women were very helpful and knowledgeable.I will always take my business to Toncar when I'm in chicago.
They refused to sell me parts. They would not sell me stainless injector lines they had in stock for my mercedes. Don't shop here they would rather destroy good parts then serve the community.

I needed a side mirror and came 30 minutes before closing, they were nice enough to pull the part (even though I’m sure they were ready to close up). The customer service was great, the part was in perfect condition. I will always recommend Toncar and they have earned my business for sure.
I saw reviews after bought a Tranmission and is correct.! bad costumer service hope owner makes changes. 4 day and I have to cancel the order because I did not receive my part.
I don’t even write reviews, but I will never go here again. Took my car here for an engine replacement. They said it would be no longer than 2 weeks. The lady in the lobby told me the mechanics don’t work on Saturdays, but that they wouldn’t take longer than 2 weeks MAX. Then when I called about my car closer to the date I had to pick it up they said mechanics didn’t work Saturdays OR Sundays. NOT what I was told when I initially went the first time. So that added an extra 2 days to the time frame. Fast forward, I have my car and now the engine is leaking oil. Had to take it back since I have a 6 month warranty on the engine. The owner told me if I dropped my car off Thursday (today) I would have it back the same day. I dropped it off YESTERDAY AFTERNOON and just called when I got off of work today to see when I could pick it up, to be told they couldn’t get it done today because the mechanic “had to leave early” and I can pick it up tomorrow. Total disregard for people’s schedules and the fact that a majority of us NEED our cars for our daily lives. Unprofessional. Take your money and your car somewhere more reliable.
I looked up a part on car parts.com, For $75. I Called and paid with a credit card, They delivered the wrong part. When i called them he said oh that one is $125 because its the rear. I looked elsewhere and found it for $50. I called to cancel the order and he said he could not refund me because it was already taken off the vehicle. I called the bank to have it canceled and they told the bank this part was delivered.
The audacity of this guy still trying to blame me for wrong part, when i looked my part up on carparts.com and as the consumer i knew what i was looking for.
Long story short........ BE WARE of these people they gave me a credit, but everything is so much over priced that it is still cheaper to buy somewhere else without using there credit.
