I encountered a highly unsatisfactory experience with this particular tow/autobody company. Upon attempting to pay with a card, I was informed by a counter representative that only cash payments were accepted in person. This individual appeared to react negatively to a comment I made, even though it was not directed at him. He then expressed his disapproval of my statement, "You have to be kidding me." I believe that freedom of speech remains a fundamental right. For future business transactions, I strongly recommend that the company clearly communicate its cash-only payment policy or prominently display a visible sign to that effect, as none was apparent during my visit. Act professional and stay out of your feelings. Have a great day.

Lansing Auto is the best! They schedule me in when it works for me and my work schedule. They are honest and thorough and not overpriced. They do great work!
Have always had a pleasant experience when I’ve had my oil changed and got new tires. Never felt taken advantage of like some auto repair shops like to do. The owner and his staff are very honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

10000% do NOT recommend them at all and wish I could give negative stars. They went through my car that was towed there after an accident and stole EVERYTHING from my husbands work tools to my kid's drawings. Awful awful place with absolutely no accountability.
Long story short:
I called to ask if we can come and get our belongings out of my car just a couple days after it was taken there and they said no, they needed the at-fault parties insurance to call them. I was told 3x by the insurance company they had already called them and we could go get our stuff. So I called Lansing Auto back and the guy, I believe his name was Jeff, asked what I was needing to get. I gave him a very short, general list of items including our carseats, a wallet, and said my husband had important papers and other things he needed from the car (he couldn't grab anything after the accident.) They he said we could come get our stuff out of our car.
My husband went there not even 15 minutes later and the guy said "I got your car seats out of the car, but couldn't find the wallet." I NEVER gave him permission to go through my car. He then refused to let my husband go see the car and get our stuff from it saying he never heard from the insurance company. My husband said we had an estimate from them scheduled through the insurance company and the guy said he told them he couldn't get it done until September (this was in JULY!). I thought he said he didn't talk to the insurance company? Now suddenly he said he talked to them and told them they couldn't get the estimate done for 2 months?
Turns out it was because they smashed the window, tried prying our trunk open with a crowbar, and stole everything out of the car then vacuumed it out after. Noone called to tell me that happened or anything either. We didn't find out until after the car was transported to a salvage yard (1.5 months later) and we FINALLY were able to get our stuff, that everything was stolen.
The insurance company did an in-person inspection and the photos from the estimate while on Lansing Auto's property include the window missing and nothing inside of the car. The window was intact after the accident when it was towed to the yard, and our trunk did not have crowbar marks. Such a disgrace of a company.
I had a wonderful experience with Lansing auto for my recent car repair! I was rear ended while pregnant, with 3 toddlers at home. It could have been a very stressful time, but Lansing auto helped me arrange a car rental while my van was in their shop; and also completed the repair even faster than originally expected. My beloved minivan literally looks good as new. The shop manager was also very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Lansing auto!!
Jeff is rude and unprofessional and made insulting comments about my son who has a disability . I would not recommend this place. I’m still having problems with the car and I personally told him on the phone that the car was stalling. He tried to deny ever knowing the car was stalling later when it continued to stall stating my son did not tell him about it stalling only about “misfires”. I know for a fact that I had that conversation with him on the phone initially and when I went to pick up the car. When I went to pick up the car he stated that everything was running fine and that it could have been “ a one time thing “ after getting the car fixed . But it happened again and when I called about it he became defensive and said my son never told him. I will never go back .
HE TOLD ME THAT MY SON DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS . My son has a disability and has trouble explaining things especially if anxiety kicks in. Shame on him!
We have been taking our vehicles here for years. All of the guys are wonderful and trustworthy. My only complaint is that they aren't open on Saturday.
Great place! My father and I have a small business and we bring all of our trucks here. You can trust them. They do what should be done, they do a fantastic job, and you don't have to worry about them telling stories like many companies out there. We have been doing business with them for a long time, and we will continue to do business for many years to come.
This place closes at 5:00PM NOT 5:30PM. This is another way for them to get people money and charge them unnecessary storage fees. They need to change the time on the website. ???
No stars for this business. I spent $1200 for them to fix my power steering, in less than a week it stopped working again. The manager told me that they have to charge me to figure out what was wrong (Hello, you did a bad job!!!) ...like seriously? The manager was not respectful in any way. I wonder how they got this far. I will never forget. Horrible people....And I take my one star back since am really pissed and petty like that. This shows you how much they hurt me.
I would put zero stars if I could. They towed my car with keys inside and when I paid 700 dollars in all to get it back there were things missing from the car along with a very expensive keyless entry fob . When I confronted the manager , he was very dry and nasty with me and did not offer any help at all. Guess we'll be in small claims court in the next few months because some mistakes you just have to pay for! I would not ever recommend anyone to this business. These people are most definitely thieves and crooks...smh
