My brother and I were transferring a vehicle from Chicago to the south suburbs and had special accommodations...smh. I was upfront and discussed this thoroughly with the dispatch/intake operator, and CJ Towing and Recovery had no problem accommodating our needs!! CG, the driver they dispatched to do the job, was over the top in every positive way!! He was courteous, kind, reassuring, focused on the task at hand, POLITE, full of integrity, sincere, and MORE!!!. Thank you, CG, for making what we thought would be a difficult task, EASY. The driver Khamal was great and very knowledgeable about cars. He informed my husband that he noticed the ambient plug on the car was unplugged. This may have caused the car to stop running. I would recommend this company and Khamal to tow any vehicle that needs to be transported.

I would like to share a pleasant experience with CJ Towing & Recovery dispatch Ci-Ci. While waiting on services for my vehicle to be towed, she was more than accommodating to and flexible to my needs as I attempted to figure out things logistically on my end. My vehicle end up operating and I no longer needed tow services. She cancelled the services and notified my insurance far as not billing for unused services, which end up saving me $250 that I thought went down the drain. I appreciate the professionalism and ethical business practice provided on her end.

Based on my experience, this towing company engaged in practices that raise serious concerns about compliance with towing and storage regulations. My vehicle was held while storage fees continued to accrue during company observed holidays, when the business stated it was open for towing but closed for vehicle retrieval, making recovery impossible while charges increased. The company also refused to release the vehicle unless the original owner was physically present, a requirement that was inconsistently applied and later waived only after additional storage fees were demanded. Those fees resulted solely from the company’s refusal to release the vehicle when retrieval was attempted. The charges assessed appeared to conflict with recently enacted consumer protection laws governing towing and storage fees. Communication was ineffective, requests for clarification were not meaningfully addressed, and no clear written justification was provided for the amounts demanded. Consumers should verify their legal rights, document all interactions, and not assume that fees or “company policies” are lawful without confirmation. Proceed with caution. Do not pay cash to them and if you were duped, you have rights. File a complaint to the department of transportation.

Worse towing service EVER. KEPT OUR TRUCK FOR 24 HOURS before delivering it to the shop. No responses to calls, no information received. We got a call from the shop informing us the truck arrived. Then we receive a call from them threatening to take our truck if we didn't pay immediately. NEVER use this service. And it was overpriced.

I read all the reviews for the awesome service that was provided to other people. I must have caught them on a bad day. The lady that answered the phone was rude as hell. I waited 4 hours for them to tow my vehicle. Just for them to cancel and not inform me! When I tell you that I will never ever recommend or try to use them again!

Horrible service tow truck never came had to call someone else they canceled my service without letting me know. 8:30am till noon I’ve been waiting for nothing This company doesn’t even deserve 1 very unprofessional. I guess they have 1 truck and 1 driver.

I needed my truck towed maybe 10 minutes from my house and many places were charging roughly 200-300. This one was definitely the route to go! Reasonable and affordable pricing! Driver told us he’d be 30 minutes he got there in 15. I will definitely be recommending him to others from here on out! The owner is an awesome, cool guy!

Waited 4 hours for the tow truck and when it came and was 10 minutes away from the location, the driver said he has to go fix a tire with my car on the tow truck , also when unloading the car , it rolled off and scraped and dented my exhaust . When I confronted the owner of the company about it he said that the damage was already there from before and refused to reimburse me .

Beware of this company they will lie to you and try to scam you for as much money as possible. They will purposely withhold your vehicle for no reason just so they can charge you holding fees and make more money off of you. My vehicle was an accident on 294 and unfortunately, was towed by this company. I did not want my vehicle towed by this company. There were other tow companies closer to the location but they were putting my vehicle on their truck without even speaking to me about it. The next day when I tried to access my vehicle, I was denied access. I decided to just pay out-of-pocket to get my vehicle out of their yard just so I was able to access it and they refused to give me my vehicle. There was a tow truck driver sitting outside. First, he said nobody was there to do the paperwork because they leave the office at 3:30pm on Friday, but we were there before 3:30pm.Then he said they must have left early for the day. I tried to offer him cash to get my vehicle out of the yard, and he stated that he was unable to help me and that I would need to come back on Monday. I waited outside because I was trying to get a hold of my insurance company to let them know that I was unable to get to my vehicle even though both my insurance company, and I already contacted this company before I arrived it only took me about 20 minutes to get there after the phone call we both had with them. While I was on hold waiting to speak with someone from my insurance company, the tow truck driver got out of his vehicle and approached me and asked if we had the cash on us to pay him and when we said yes, he asked how much did they told us it would be over the phone which was $250 he said OK he’s going to talk to the lady inside and they’ll be able to give us the vehicle. He also informed us the $250 Was just to get the vehicle out of their yard that did not include any holding fees or the tow to and from their yard and our total would be $700. No one came in or out of that building while I was waiting there, which means somebody was inside the entire time. When I went inside to pay the lady, she told me she just spoke with my insurance that there’s an issue with my insurance and they’re not going to cover it 100% and I would have to pay a certain amount out of pocket. I said that was not true because my insurance wasn’t going to be covering anything since I was paying out a pocket she said I’m gonna have to call my insurance. While I was still waiting to speak with someone from my insurance company I informed them that I had my own tow coming to get the vehicle and the lady told me that I would have to come back tomorrow cause she’s leaving. So originally, supposedly nobody was there to help me and I would have to come back Monday. Then all of a sudden somebody’s there to help me but if I want to use my own tow truck, I would have to come back the next day. Even though I was told no one was going to be there until Monday. Finally, someone answered the phone from my insurance, I started to explain everything that was going on and then the lady was like never mind, I don’t need to speak to them but I’m going to have to use their tow trucks to have my vehicle towed elsewhere if I want to take it today. The lady took money from the other person I was with, and she never asked either of us for any proof of ownership for the vehicle they only asked for the make and model of the vehicle. This company is scamming people, first they denied me access to my vehicle and then they were purposely withholding my vehicle from me and not allowing me to even pay out-of-pocket for it. Supposedly this company works with the Illinois state police. They claimed that’s who told them to take my vehicle. The Illinois State police need to do better and work with actual legitimate companies, not scammers.

Im just blessed to be able to make it back home today my car cv axle broke into pieces and car not moving . Called reputable towing companies with 5 star reviews first but none of them were available until I called CJ TOWING and This company did not let me down, Gentlemen Grant Cortez Came to the rescue , He was also very professional and helpful , he even help me Push my car so it is parked straight where I want it. I am very satisfied with the service and will call them again. God forbid if I need a towing service.

My car wouldn't start this morning so I tried jumping it and somehow lit my jumper cables on fire, so I gave up and called for a tow truck. Mandy came in about an hour and was a great help. He got the car out of my garage, down my narrow drive way, and to the mechanic no problem! Thanks again Mandy!!!

We had the unpleasant experience of going to retrieve personal items from our son's car after an accident. CJ's employees were absolutely amazing. So gracious as we arrived as they were closing. The young man that took us to the vehicle was quick to ask about our son and even though he was on his way out, waited patiently for us to complete our task. Grateful for their care and that our son walked away fine.

Came through in clutch. We called so many different locksmiths around 3am to help get our son keys out of his car because he was stranded and we was told nobody was available until after 8am and before giving up I called CJ towing and recovery and the guy was available to come almost immediately and he got my son in his car. Fast & reliable! Cj’s came and got my family and I after my car stopped on street. Came to our location very quick,great communication and no hassle. Was able to tow my car back safely!

Called for a tow truck at 10:30am. Was told they’d be here in 30 minutes. The driver calls me at 11:25 to say he’ll be here in 45 minutes. Listen, I understand things change and times may not be exact but how does it change from arriving in 30 minutes to arriving almost 2 hours later? And the customer service from the person setting the pickup was not good.

CJ Towing was a life saver! My tire blew out at 3 am and i was stranded trying to find a towing company to help and they were the only ones who picked up their phone. Price was reasonable and they arrived quickly. I will definitely recommend this tow company to friends and family anytime! 10/10

On the day I needed my car towed AAA gave me the run around and ended up canceling my tow. Thankfully CJ Towing jumped right in to assist with hesitation or delay. Needed a tow from orland park to Logan Square to relocate my car. Was told it would be 45 minutes. Driver got there In 20 minutes. He was very fast and yet careful with the vehicle. Originally thought I would spend most of the day dealing with waiting on a tow to arrive but everything was taken care of super fast and got to enjoy the rest of my sunday. Thanks again.

The service this company provides is fine! For some reason people feel like when you call a tow company the truck should pull up once the call ends. That is not how life works. There are more cars on the road than there are tow trucks and there is a certain level of patience required. I have used this company a few time for my car, yes it could be a bit of a wait 30 minutes to an hour but that’s what it’s called an ETA! I like this company and the prices are reasonable compared to the competitors. I’ve waited longer with other “popular” tow trucks companies. I would recommend this company!

Fast service and friendly staff… I recently had my brand new car just stop on me and my family in the middle of the street on a Saturday night. Of course I’m freaking out because it’s past 9pm, I had my 3 children with me, one of which was a newborn. I googled for a tow company and CJ’s Towing popped up. I called and the dispatcher was a friendly lady named CeCe she got a driver out to us within 30 minutes. It was less than $100 which to me was pretty reasonable compared to the other companies I called. The driver pulled up and tested my battery and it was completely dead. The driver said “This is a brand new car that shouldn’t happen but sometimes when a car is sitting on a lot for so long before being sold that the battery doesn’t give the power it needs.” He charged it/gave me a jump. He was so polite and got us back on the road home. Monday morning I was able to go back to Hyundai and they gave me a brand new battery for free. It was exactly what the tow driver said, it was a bad battery. Thank you for your quick service. I would use CJ’s Towing again and I would definitely recommend them.
