I took my car in because we've been hearing squeaking when braking for over a month. Car has over 54k miles on it so I figured it's probably the brake pads wearing out. I fully expected to pay for brake pads and possible rotors but these guys inspected, test drove and lifted my car to see what's going on. The brake pads were still in great health and they explained the possible causes. They were very honest and could've have easily replaced everything without telling me that I didn't need anything done . I appreciate the honesty and I'm definitely coming back here for future repairs.

My family has been going to these guys for years, and they continue to exceed expectations. We brought the car in for a general inspection to make sure my son wouldn’t end up stranded on the side of the road this winter. They performed a very thorough inspection, cleaned the engine and battery terminals to ensure a proper connection, and took the time to explain in detail a few items that may need attention after winter. They didn’t charge us for the inspection or the cleanup and even stayed late to make sure everything was done right. Honest, knowledgeable, and dependable—this is a shop we’ll continue to trust and highly recommend.

Great quick and honest service. They are knowledgeable on so many different cars and have performed quality repairs such as oil changes, tire repairs, suspension issues and faults. There is nothing that they cannot fix.

Best service I've had! I brought my SUV in knowing it was probably going to need a lot of repairs. They were very open and honest with me. It ended up needing over $3,000 in repairs which I couldn't really do. BUT they helped get into a vehicle they actually had for sale at the shop! I could not be more grateful for the kindness and honesty from them. They really helped me out and now I have a new car!

I had a less-than-satisfactory experience with these guys. Communication was challenging, as it was difficult to receive clear and timely updates. Additionally, new issues arose multiple times, adding to the frustration. The pricing was inconsistent; initial estimates for parts and labor did not align with the final bill, resulting in unexpected and higher costs. One particularly frustrating incident was when the mechanic transferred my vehicle between shop locations. During that transfer, the mechanic smoked inside the car and tried to mask the smell with an air freshener. As a non-smoker, this created quite an inconvenience and was definitely frustrating. To be fair they did good job on oil change but I wouldn’t trust them with anything else.

I was selling the car, when I realized that alternator needed to be replaced, and the buyer was already on his way from a different state. He really cared about the car, so he suggested to go to autozone to have it checked. After explaining the problem, I was referred to Robert and he was able to fix my car while I was waiting. He was very polite, honest, knowledgeable and he took extra time to make sure everything was working ok. He truly saved the day. I am very happy to find this shop!!!

They helped fix my evap disaster that has been going on with my car. The repairs were quick and communicated well.

I brought my car in for an ac leak. Robert called an hour after dropping it off and ran through all the issues with the car. He has very great knowledge of cars and I will be bringing my cars there from now on. Fair and honest pricing and quick service!

I recommend them to everyone I know—they’re absolutely worth the drive if you need any work done on your vehicle. They’re reliable, honest, and skilled—can’t ask for more. Most recently, they even checked out a damaged wheel stud for free and gave me a new lug nut at no charge. That’s the kind of service that keeps me coming back.

From high end to every day vehicle. United Motorworks is the place to go. I have a bmw and 3 different Mercedes that I have bought here and it’s always excellent. Still own all my cars and they work great thanks to them.

Tried to upsell me and was misogynistic towards me acting as if I don’t know anything about cars-talking in a demeaning tone when asked if I had done anything to my car. After I replied stock they had then explained what they meant afterwards. Also every man that walked through the door was greeted with a smile and upbeat tone except for me and it was my first time coming in. I had also explained what services I was going to get done over the phone but had to reiterate what problems I had. I had also mentioned what time I would come drop my car off in advance and they said they would not be able to look at it till the next day. I provided my contact info to be called for updates on my car and was not called once about it. Instead the other number I had also listed (a man) was contacted instead of me even though it was my car and the mechanic knew. Second time I came in to look at my car I had to go ahead and get a quote and the prices kept changing and wouldn’t give me an exact number on how much things would cost. I just wanted one thing done on my car and declined services as I was being upselled because I am a woman. Then he tried to fear monger me saying if I wouldn’t get everything done my car would explode. I wish I was joking

Never felt so compelled to share my experience. If your vehicle is damaged on their property, they will accuse, blame, and swear at you all while denying responsibility. I had a Horrible Experience. Dropped off my car to get the tail lights and Evap Leak code checked. I mentioned that it should be smoke tested; I was told it was not. They just "guessed" it was the Purge Valve. Swapped it out and billed me $240. The Check Engine Light came back 3 times after I got the car back, they refused to fix it again, stating it would be "Very Expensive". So you could say my $240 "evaporated" into unnecessary repairs and improper diagnosis. My brand-new Front Bumper was damaged and cracked while in their custody, the grille was cracked, and their cameras conveniently saw nothing. Now I'm out a $550 Bumper, $250 Grille, and $240 for an incorrect Evap leak repair. They asked me to pay $750 for additional electrical labor to fix the mess, when I was provided with not even a diagnosis and a ripped-up dashboard. I brought it to another shop where they fixed the taillights in 1 day. Wouldn't leave any car with them for an extended time. Feel wronged in every possible way. The owner will probably reply with something about the taillights being aftermarket. The originals were in the trunk, and the other shop had no problem fixing the issue very quickly.

This is the place to go for the best auto service ever. They find the problem and solution quickly, they're knowledgeable about everything, the prices are more than reasonable, and they do everything. My parents have been coming here for 20 years and Jay took care of them. Now Robert and Wojtek elevated customer service and expertise to another level. Won't go anywhere else for auto service.

I've brought a few different vehicles here. Robert the owner is a great guy. Very honest upfront and fair with pricing. Been looking for an honest mechanic for a while and I'm glad to say I found one.

After visiting a client in Bartlett, I found myself stranded with stuck rear brakes. I found these folks online and called ahead, asking if they might be able to take a look - keep in mind, this was around 11AM, when they certainly had a full roster of repairs for the day already. They invited me to stop by, and I was able to limp over. They get my car on a lift within 90 minutes and had rebuilt my entire rear brake system by 4PM, allowing me to get home and avoiding an expensive rideshare back to the city and the need to come get the car another day. They communicated extremely well throughout and the price was fair. Highly recommended!

One of my fleet vehicles got a flat tire yesterday. I didn't have many options but to pull it off to a parking lot, and get a tow. I was right next to an Auto Zone, so I thought I'd ask if I can borrow some tools. They informed me no, but let me know about Robert and his team across the street. By the time I got my vehicle over, they were already closed technically. They still took me in, pulled the spare off from under my vehicles, and popped it on for me. It took about 30 minutes since the wheel was seized onto the hub. Once they finished up, I went to pay them, and all they asked for was $20. I offered to pay their going shop rate and they refused and said $20 will be fine. I appreciated their service, quality, and pricing. From one service company to another; you guys are doing it right. Thanks you.

The most honest, reliable, and friendly garage I’ve ever experienced. Their prices were very reasonable, often beating quotes from larger garages like Midas by hundreds. They are 100% honest about what needs doing and what doesn’t. I tried other garages nearer to where I live, but now I just come here even though it’s an hour away, because I trust their judgement, skills and transparency. I confidently recommended them to anyone who asks. They’ve made owning my first car hassle and stress free. Thank you!!

I wanted to share a fantastic experience I recently had with Robert and team. Despite being just over the miles covered by my Extended Warranty, they advised me to go back to the dealer and fight to get it fixed. Their honesty and trustworthiness really impressed me. Kudos to them for their integrity and exceptional service!

I had all 4 brake pads and rotors replaced here along with tire rotation. Pricing was comparable to other shops, nothing special. Mechanic seemed to be frustrated when I brought up a discount on Meinecke's website. Mechanic said they are not a Meinecke, even though Google and Meinecke show them as a location. I guess they were just transitioning from Meinecke to United Auto. They did not honor the discount. Whatever, no big deal. After paying and picking up my vehicle, I heard a clanking noise from front left wheel. I turned my wheel and found this metal piece (photo) hanging from my front left axle. I assume they hung the brake on it instead of letting the brake hang by the brake line, which is a good thing, but they forgot to remove this metal piece after completing the work. This piece could have gotten into my wheel, brake caliper, etc and caused some serious damage. About a year later I noticed I am missing 1 lug nut from that same wheel. I have not had any service on the wheels since this place. This lug nut is a lock nut, meaning you need a special lock nut key, which I gave them upon handing over my vehicle for service. There is one of these on each wheel and I am not missing any others. They either did not tighten it fully and it must have come loose, or they did not put it back on. I am leaning towards the latter. Lazy work. I guess you could say I need to check these things after service, but I do not think most people would do so as we trust the shop to do satisfactory work. I have been driving around with 4/5 lug nuts on one wheel for 1 year. Dangerous. No reason to go back into their shop and tell them about it at this point. I will never go back here, nor recommend to others. As a whole, 2 /5 stars. 5 / 5 stars because they replaced my pads/rotors as expected. MINUS 3 stars because they put me in a potentially dangerous situation.
