We’ve all heard the horror stories when it comes to RV dealerships, and after going through the wringer with a few, we were honestly nervous walking into Camping World. Thankfully, we met Chris Stiff, and he completely turned our experience around.
Chris was kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable — he answered every one of our questions without a hint of pressure. He made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the process, and never once made us feel rushed or guilty for taking extra time to look over the unit. Even after our purchase, Chris has continued to be helpful and responsive, which means so much.
We were also very happy with the financial associate who helped finalize everything — the whole process felt smooth and professional.
I can honestly say that Camping World (and especially Chris) changed my perspective, and I look forward to working with him again for any future needs.
We decided to go to Camping World after our big local Montana RV Dealership was very dishonest during negotiations. We reached out to Camping World in Idaho and were put in touch with Sales Associate PJ Kaufman at the Meridian, ID store. Right from the start, he was on top of it all. We told him the exact make and model of the 5th wheel we wanted and he found it in another state. Once the new 5th wheel was onsite in Idaho, he sent us a video and pictures. Each time I had a question, no matter if it was via text or a phone call, PJ was always there to answer every question, every time. The price presented to us was less than what we were trying to negotiate with our local dealership. We took the beautiful fall drive to Idaho and the 5th wheel was exactly what we wanted and at the right price. PJ even came in on his day off to meet with us and to ensure we were happy with the new 5th wheel. I can’t say enough good things about both Camping World and PJ. They know how customer service works and how to treat their customer with respect and honestly.
We had had worked with multiple RV salesman in the Boise area and online before meeting Jim Dorsey at Meridian Camping World. Jim was a breath of fresh air and a straight shooter. He gave specific advice that allowed us to understand the RV buying process. The Meridian store did not have what we wanted, but Jim put in the extra effort to find an amazing deal at an out of state Camping World. Jim then stayed late to put the deal together even though he was not confident he'd get any commission! We give Jim our highest level or recommendation and he has earned our loyalty.
When buying from these guys you need to check out everything from the roof to the tanks because if you find a issue after you have taken possession of the camper they will drag there feet and tell you they have to get approval from the manufacturer even tho the issue was there before you bought it. It is like pulling teeth dealing with the service department its like they made the sell so now its your problem. There is no sense of urgency to repair it. The sales side of things is great but a headache to get warranty work done and approved.
This review goes specifically to Chris Styff at camping world in Meridian, ID. I first went to browse inventory after shopping online and looking at multiple other dealerships. He took me in, showed me a handful of RVs that would work for my situation, and ultimately helped me find the one I now call home. Without his help, I probably wouldn’t have found what I was looking for. He worked on AND off the clock to help me find something in my budget with the specifications I was looking for. He was there day or night, even on his days off whenever I had a question. I’ve never experienced a salesman quite like him, because he went above and beyond my expectations. Chris, I hope Camping World takes care of you because you are the man.
We went here directly after having a poor experience with bishes. Amazing service Matt Isaac's was so friendly and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We are excited to use our new pop up and go on so many adventures.
My vote, if you are looking around the valley choose camping world!

Went in looking for a tear-drop/square-drop. Didn't even make it past the front desk. Immediately turned away with a "We don't sell anything like that at MY dealership."
Conversation wasn't even long enough to catch the guys name. No introduction. Made it feel like I was interrupting his conversation with the two women at the front desk.
I'll take my business elsewhere.
Beware, they will talk you into the extended warranty but when you need help after your first trip it ends up costing hundreds of dollars, because it was clearly not inspected before they sold it. And the warranty only covers certain things, worst mistake we ever made.
We bought a new trailer here this summer and had a great experience with our sales rep. Unfortunately that was the only positive aspect of the purchase. From them not even being able to locate our trailer for roughly an hour when we came for our scheduled pick-up, to taking advantage of our desperation to make it a quick appointment due to having our young children with us and upselling us on ridiculous extended warranties, to giving us the round-around when we’ve tried to contact them via phone call, email, and voicemail to cancel said warranties, to stalling repairs based on complete nonsense regarding parts and authorizations from the manufacturer, I really wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Terrible experience, go anywhere else.
Have to come back and change this review. When we bought it we knew that it had a few issues they tried at the factory to cover up some issues by using a wallpaper on the ceiling. That wall paper fell off and we brought it back to replace it but dang please watch video attached it looks like a 2 year old put the panel back. I have alot more issues but it's not worth bringing it all up.
Always helpful, kind, and quick as they can be. They have always answered questions and tried to find us the solutions. Got us into a nice camper and helped with other products needed. They have sales too which is nice! Love checking out their store inside.
Not only did they sell me a trailer with undisclosed damage, but I have also been trying for over 3 weeks to cancel the extended warranty that doesn’t cover anything anyway. No one will return my calls or seems interested in customer service in any way. Will be great if you want to sell you something, but if you need help then they will be rude or you will never hear back. Buyer Beware
Tyler at Camping World is absolutely incredible! He really listened to what we wanted and never tried to upsell or waste our time with things we weren’t interested in. He’s all business in the best way and truly knows his stuff inside and out. We honestly couldn’t believe he wasn’t already a manager—with his knowledge and experience, he’s sure to be one soon. I really was hoping to be able to leave a 5 star review but 2 is the best that I can leave based on lack of communication from camping world in Meridian. I purchased a used Rockwood Ultra Lite and was persuaded that a good sam extended warranty was a good investment. After reviewing the numerous exclusion I decided to cancel the agreement. I went in the finance person filled
out paper work and had me sign it and said it would be processed. When I got home I noticed the agreement cancellation was not signed by the representative. I called every week for the pass month to see if it was signed and processed. No one returns my calls and receptionist tell me they will deliver message as everyone is busy. I called assurtant company who is listed on the agreement, they have no record of the cancellation but had me fax what I signed and told me to contact camping world. I have tried in good faith to get someone to talk to me or even to email me, but I get nothing from Camping World. All they have to do is pick up the phone and make a call to this once faithful customer. This is the worse experience I have had to a company!!!
DO NOT BUY FROM ANY CAMPING WORLD. Worst experience we have ever had. They don’t care about you. They take your money and after that anything that goes wrong is your problem. You will get transferred around person to person until you give up. We paid thousands for a warranty, had 2 blowouts in the first month and they will not cover it. Along with a huge list of other things wrong and they want to charge hundreds of dollars just to come out and look at it. Plus copays. Tried talking to the GM at Meridian and he doesn’t care. Big warning do not buy from here.
My sister bought a rv from Cody for 50000 dollars. It took almost a month to get it then when they set it up the auto level system wasn't working. They were supposed to fix it. But never did. They said she had to pay for it even though she bought a warranty that was extra. She is 69 and can't afford it. Cody won't even take her calls. Terrible people
Bought a “brand new” 2025 Pioneer 17BH, was told it was overstock and not one of the demo units flagged for damage. Turns out it was—had painter’s tape still on it, jack bracket is bent from impact, and electrical issues from day one. The moment in the sales process where I stood up for my mother who will be sold and taken advantage of for stuff she wants, and stated we do not need the 1600$ go camp package that essentially just makes them over head money for 4-500$ worth of hoses and gear. They left us to figure it all out ourselves. The mood changed entirely and they basically acted like we were on our own. Left me in the parking lot to hook it up entirely alone. When he stated they HAVE to make sure it’s working legal condition to drive off the lot when attempting to sell on the 1600$. I could have showed up with a different truck and left and no one would have said anything. Not how you treat paying customers. Now to find out after really getting a hard look at it, that it’s got patches on the ceilings where the blue tape was on the lot. On the cupboards, and what really sent me, the bent jack. That’s huge! That’s structural. Filing formal complaints.
Wow. Memorial Day and nobody says “Hi” or offers to help. Went in looking for an LED outdoor replacement light strip that stopped working last night. Walked all over the store. Seems like everyone is more interested in what’s on the computer than helping someone in the store. Camping Worlds customer service is non existence. So sad.
Their staff is amazingly friendly, but that's the only positive thing I can say. Everything else is negative, from always (and I mean always) being out of stock on everything I try to purchase. They only guarantee their RV batteries for 1 year when 2 years is the standard. They have good staff working for a poorly run franchise.
Had a friend buy a 2023 Momentum. This is what the roof looked like on the camping trip we took two weeks later. Apparently roof inspection is not part of their 50 point inspection. They are refusing to seal the roof leaving him with hundreds in repair bills. If this is what they consider good workmanship, I wouldn’t let them touch my RV if I valued it at all.
I would not recommend camping world when looking for a trailer. We were told we had to put $500 down to run our credit and see if we were approved. We did not get the trailer and our salesman told us he would refund the $500. Well, 3 weeks went by no refund I called and called the front desk lady’s kept putting me off saying the sales person was busy with a deal and unable to help me. I had to fight for my money back and know If I didn’t they would have just kept it. I was told by the receptionist that multiple people have issues with getting their refunds. Be extra cautious and definitely read what you’re signing with this place.
My Husband and I walked into the Meridian location with a big life change in our near future and were greeted with nothing but compassion, support and advise we could trust. Everyone that helped us deserves a shout out! Thank you Jimmy for your patience and knowledge, thank you Pedro for the walk through, thank you Derek for helping us wrap up financials, and thank you Patrick and Brian for delivering! Finally, Thank you to everyone else in between for ensuring there were no gaps in the great quality that is Camping World. It is Such a great environment and full of great people. I have never had a better experience purchasing a vehicle in my life. The whole process from the time I came on the lot, until I left with my unit was exceptional. I got the most for my money and stellar customer service. Thank you everyone at Meridian Camping World.
They were so friendly and great to work with. Matt was a great salesman and Alex handled all the paperwork so professionally. The tech that walked us through the trailer was knowledgeable and very detailed.
We went in on a Sunday to look at trailers with Nate we left unsure of what our next steps were going to be moving forward. We hopped online and decided on a model they had in stock and available, we called back and put a deposit on a unit. Nate and everyone put things in motion very quickly and moved stuff around so we could use the trailer on a short notice that very Thursday! Everyone was very helpful and made for a good whirlwind experience! Thanks again!

Great RV supply store! They have everything that is RV sized from kitchen, bathroom, outdoor, and pet supplies. Free popcorn and coffee while you shop! The bags they put your purchased items in are reusable and very durable, a very pleasant surprise. Prices are great!
Whether you want some stuff to repair your RV or if you’re looking for a fun camping gift, they have it all!!!! The staff is very friendly and even got a cart for me and my mother. They helped us around the store and Jackie even said if we need anything to just call for her.
