I have read nearly every review this shop has received before posting this, and I’m blown away by the positivity posted here. This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I’ve had in a long time. I arrived early for an appointment and called to confirm I was in the right spot since there was no office and just a large bay door (closed) with a sign on it. When the phone was answered Jay Roger told me he was quite busy and asked what I wanted. I stated I was a customer here for an appointment; he said he’d be with me momentarily, 15 minutes later the rollup door opened…. I pulled 4 tires from the back of my rig- that I had taken off my truck as a courtesy- and explained that the wheels were coming off and needed to be swapped with the wheels that were on my friends rig. I had to explain this to him THREE times throughout the process while he griped about the fact that no one told him what this appointment was about, an appointment that had been booked weeks prior….. After he took my wheels off he tried to roll the tires into my rig and I had to tell him for a final time that the wheels off my tires were going onto my friends rig, and his wheels were going on my tires. After he drove my friends rig into the shop he hopped on the phone and began to complain IN FRONT OF ME how he was going to sell every tool in his shop and not do this on the side because he was so sick of dealing with customers and people. As he came back to break a tire loose I caught his attention (after being ignored) and explained to him that the tires on this rig had just been rotated, so my friend (who had stepped away to take a call) had asked me to relay that they get put back in the exact same location they were removed. Jay copped the biggest attitude and told me that typically “he would do what his experience with 45 years in the automotive and service industry told him to do, but today I was the boss so we would do it my way……..” Then when the swaps were complete he tried to bill us at a rate that was higher than what he originally quoted. Go here if you’re comfortable with Jay and have him figured out. I will NOT be returning and I will not push business his way. In fact, I’ll probably do the opposite, starting with this review.
The best mechanic shop in town! Jay Roger is friendly and his expertise is insurmountable! He has years of experience and it shows! Prices are more than fair and he doesn't beat around the bush or charge for things that don't need to be done. Best mechanic in the Treasure valley by far! I am so impressed!

Jay Roger is extremely educated in vehicle maintenance. Jay explains everything that could be going on, my experience was tire pressure and the sensor telling me I had low tire pressure. Jay used his Digital reader, checked the sensors and added air to my tires. I will monitor for low tire pressure and go back for repair if needed. Most honest mechanic I have ever met. Thank you Jay Roger you have a new full time customer.

It is fantastic to find a business that isn't on the inflating prices and/or price gouging bandwagon but still absolutely expirenced, and skilled. TVT is old time value with honest and realistic pricing. Roger was an absolute wealth of knowledgeable making sure I understood the what and why, where other shops just say that's just policy or that's the way it's done. Having known Roger Jensen for years I have purchased 2 sets of tires from TVF. I'm fully satisfied with both the pricing and service. I appreciate being able to make an appointment as it saves waiting time. Roger is a real pro and always help me to understand what's going on with my vehicles. He has also worked over my AC system on my Jeep and it's worked perfectly ever since.
Got some used tires here and Roger was great to deal with. Turns out one of them had a nail in it, but he plugged it professionally on the spot. He educated me on tires. This guy knows his stuff and the price was right. I'll be back

Best experience I've ever had getting my car worked on. He actually told me what was wrong with the car, how he fixed it, and what caused it. Roger was friendly and will work hard on your car at the cheapest rate he can get for you. I will never go to anyone else for car stuff.
Roger went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met with our budget and the car. You WONT find anyone as cheap with as much skill as him. Hes nice and hard working, the car got done so quick and everything was done at a quarter of the price than anywhere else.

This place is amazing. The owner was amazing. I inherited my papa’s truck after he passed and I’ve struggled to let people work on it. I 100% will be bringing my truck to Roger for all maintenance. We were relaxed in his shop. Even my dog was at home in his shop! He took us around my truck to show me everything under the hood, and under the truck. I’ve never left a mechanic 100% happy and I did today. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Thank God for Jay and Treasure Valley Tire and Fleet. I had my alternator on my 2003 Nissan Maxima replaced recently. I didn't feel comfortable doing the job myself. Other shops quoted me nearly double the amount TVTF quoted me. It really was a no brainer. Jay was very timely, and the rates really undercut the competition. He ended up going over the time originally quoted, but I wasn't charged for the extra labor! He's truly a man of his word and the last of the honest mechanics. He also diagnosed some other issues I had with my car that I didn't even know I had for no extra cost. I will be returning in the future to fix those issues. I highly recommend you take your vehicle here for the best rates and the family like service you will receive here. 10/10
Roger repaired my tire a couple months ago for free, and did an awesome job. I came in for an oil change today and got a lot more than that. He's amazingly thorough, and he genuinely just seems like he wants to see your car in the best shape possible, and he probably knows everything there is to know, not that I'd know... lol. On top of all that the price was unbeatable. I will recommend this shop to everyone I know.

Jay was referred to me by a mutual friend. She reccommended him as a mechanic who has the cleanest shop, the most ASE certificates of anyone she had ever seen, was an honest person as a lifestyle, friendly, had low prices and was thorough in his work. I didn't believe all these things were possible at one store. I have an old pickup that needed alot of work done, so I said "I wanna give this guy a chance"... All new steering components, a bad oil leak fixed, a transmission leak fixed, an exhaust leak fixed, 4 new tires, fully inspected the brake system inside and out and showed me more gadgetry on my truck than I would have EVER known without his showing me. All finished in a day and a half. I simply will not visit another shop without going to Jay first. I'm nearly 60 years old and I have been around. This small shop is a unique find in this world and I'll reccommend Jay Roger at every opportunity, beginning... Now. Great work Jay, Thank you.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! We were just passing through and our tire blew out on the highway right before the exit. We called roger hoping we could meet him at the shop after AAA came. He insisted on coming to check it out and helped us get to his shop safely before anyone else arrived. Extremely fare prices for new tires and exceptional service. He was extremely thorough. We were able to get back on the road same day! Unbelievable service.
So thankful to find this place! Jay was courteous, honest and fast! He fixed our flat tire quickly and at no charge. He also helped answer our questions and make great recommendations. Having a place to go when you want HONEST service and don't want to pay for things that you really don't need is HUGE! Plus I love supporting local businesses and not the big box stores! As a woman it can be difficult to find a mechanic or auto shop to trust. This guy is as trustworthy and kind as they come! He goes above and beyond every time I have needed work done.
