Do you guys accept aluminum rain gutters? I took my old rain gutters down and thought I would check if they can be recycled? I broke them down into smaller pieces if that makes a difference.
This location just shorted me around a third of what I was supposed to get, and I've been recycling consistently for a decade. They're either skimming off the top, or they're incompetent.
The workers there are very helpful. Sometimes they do all the work from unloading the recycles from my truck to loading them into the bins and so on and so forth. I give them a thumbs up for a job well done all the time!!!!
Google and the sign upfront says Tuesday- Saturday they are open till 5pm. After work I loaded up the truck and took the cans and bottles. Got here at 4:15 and the trailer is closed no one is here.
Not to be a complainer but i had a strong sense that i got didnt get all the $$ for what i recycled..in fact its everytime i go to reynolds..some may say ..well some may say well go somewhere else.ok..but its the principal
I hate to say it, but these guys are skimming off the top. Even with the addition of the tip jar the workers still pay less for the same amount of plastic and glass than the Recycling place I prefer to go to in Pearl City. Not sure if they justify their actions with the errant belief that all the residents in Mililani are rich or upper middle class, but the truth is—anyone taking the time to recycle for cash—deserves the full proceeds, regardless.
This is what I know to be true just from common sense. Recycled plastic bottles weigh less than other plastic bottles. With that being said, if all your plastic bottles are recycled type you won't get 5cents per bottle because their scales are set up for the weight. In order to get my 5cents per bottle refund, which you pay when you buy, I hand count them and they will accept up to 200 per visit. Just let them know you want a hand count, but have everything separated. I have ALWAYS been treated well and the staff is friendly and polite. People need to find solutions to their own problems. It is a business and if you don't want to take the time to count and know what you have, how can you say you were shorted???
Efficient, well run, friendly staff who works hard, even if it's hot or raining (which it often is in Mililani). If you separate you recycling ahead of time and don't grab too many barrels before your turn, things go pretty quick.
I went to this location this morning with 21 pounds cans which I weighed on two different scales also 14 pounds small plastic should’ve been $44 I got home and I had $33 what a rip off those guys are skimming big-time pay attention people The guy weighing the cans dump them in a bag container before he told the guy I was writing it down hey mysteriously forgot to tell him about one garbage can Of aluminum Plus you can’t see the total amount weight wise The scale is not upfront
I recycle about every 2 months & was surprised to see poor reviews because the staff is always helpful & courteous. It helps to say "hi" & make a connection because these people are always very busy.
Literally just had one of the workers pick up my trash can of cans and throw it as hard as he could and said “b***, f*** your cans!!” I literally didn’t say a word to any of the workers. That sums up this recycling truck for ya.
