This 3000 acre Plantation is beautiful and rich with history. Its history goes back to the early 1800s. There are many houses to explore including the main house which is worth the trip in and of itself. The grounds are peaceful and can be explored. There are established places to sit and take in the natural beauty or you can simply wander at your own pace. They do offer guided tours and you can even rent a room and stay on the property. Its well worth the trip!

Beautiful plantation with quite the unique historical background. We are planning a trip for Spring to view the scenery.

The grounds and house are beautiful. The tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable. My only issue is that the person at the front desk where you buy tickets was rude to me. However, when I spoke to the manager she apologized and sent me free tickets.

If you are headed south to Florida from anywhere in the Midwest, plan a two-hour walking break at Pebble Hill Plantation. It’s off the main interstate, but worth a visit.

We absolutely loved Pebble Hill Plantation! The history was incredibly rich, and the architecture was so thoughtfully designed and far ahead of its time. Every detail was absolutely stunning!

Pebble Hill Plantation is absolutely breathtaking and full of history. The grounds are gorgeous, with massive oak trees, peaceful gardens, and stunning scenery everywhere you look. Touring the house felt like stepping back in time, and the staff made it even better with their kindness and knowledge. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend visiting if you’re anywhere nearby!

Lovely place but the tour is way to long without any breaks. Gardens, not happy. The tour guide made it very boring and very very long.

Amazing history of a beautiful southern home. It's like stepping back in time for a brief glimpse of an earlier time. It's amazing that 3 strong independent women ran this plantation at different times.

Came for a field trip, and it was stunning, the snapdragons were amazing. The grounds we spacious and grand so bring good hiking shoes. We will be coming back.

Absolutely stunning plantation! Visited in early January and the grounds were meticulously kept. The main house tour is 100% worth it. The house is filled with history, art and the tour guides are so knowledgeable.

A stunning place, and a must visit whether you are a history enthusiast or nature lover. Unfortunately, we arrived around 4:00 pm and learned that the last house tour was at 3:30 pm. However, Don from the Visitor’s Center kindly helped us make the most of the remaining time. We were able to explore the garden area and were mesmerized by its beauty. Great place for weddings and cocktail parties as well.

What a beautiful piece of history. The grounds are gorgeous. We loved the gardens and beautiful architecture. We even found a picnic table and had lunch by the lake.

The museum and tour are really more about the houses history as a guest house and hunting lodge for wealthy Ohioans and Yankes than it's history as a plantation. However, the house tour was amazing and very well guided. How can you not like a kitchen that has 5 rooms (to include a pastry room and (2) 1934 GE refrigerators) The dog collar exhibit on the 2nd floor was actually pretty interesting (apparently the spiked collars were to save dogs guarding the flocks from wolf neck bites). But the highlight for me was wandering the gardens and grounds and admiring the moss draped trees. Slavery is very briefly mentioned although you could miss it if you blink.

I traveled 3 hours to photograph a maternity session here and I am so glad I did. The venue and grounds are perfect. There are so many places to take photos on the property, the options are endless.

We had a great time at Pebble Hill's Polo match! It was a great experience on such lovely and history-rich grounds. We can't wait to attend future events at this beautiful place!

Over the years, we have hosted the weddings of both of our daughters at the beautiful Pebble Hill Plantation. Our family's love of the place actually started about 27 years prior when my wife's employer hosted their Christmas office party there. We enjoyed a splendid dinner followed by a tour of the beautifully decorated grounds via a carriage ride -complete with hot chocolate and the entertaining stories of the staff. As a life-long 'southerner', I actually learned that it was there, on their plantation, that the 'hushpuppy' got it's name. By their account, the women cooking the meals for the other residents, would fry up the small scraps of breading and toss em to the dogs gathered around to keep them quiet. As for the weddings, our first in 2017 was an awesome experience - due in part to the beauty of the surroundings and the personalized assistance of the former event coordinator Cara Dollinger. The most recent, in February of this year, was equally as spectacular - despite the torrential downpour which lasted over 24 hours during the event weekend. Just like Cara, the current event coordinator Elizabeth Pulley, swooped in and she and her staff helped to implement Plan B, then Plan C as the rain continued to flood the tent setup as a back-up to the planned outdoor ceremony. In the end, it all went off without a hitch, to include the PH staff security helping with getting the guests and their cars navigate a couple of 'slippery' areas in the parking area. It was at the Sugar Hill Barn which was relatively unaffected despite the 24+ hours of rain. One of the same staff members was back bright and early giving us access as we retrieved our property and cleaned up the mess. From end to end, and over our past 27 years of enjoying it, Pebble Hill Plantation has been a beautiful place to visit and an Awesome place for a wedding!

Wonderful place to see history of the South and how Thomasville became a popular vacation area in the early 1900's. If you love history, artwork, horses or dogs you'll find it a fascinating 2-3 hour excursion!

These grounds are magical. I recently did an engagement shoot here and the number of little spots where interesting and creative photos can be taken are fantastic. I highly recommend this location.

I thought it was a unique experience. We really enjoyed walking the estate. It was a history lesson field trip for the kids. We'll be going back to walk the other half next week.

Growing up in Tallahassee, I had been to Thomasville on many occasions and visited Pebble Hill Plantation several times. When we got engaged, we toured several venues, but none compared to the to the beautiful oak trees and southern charm of Pebble Hill Plantation. Their events team was communicative and helpful throughout the planning process. They even contacted us when there was a cancellation at their Overflow Cottage because they knew that we were looking to stay on the property the night before the wedding. Elizabeth did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed to have an amazing event – she coordinated with several of our outside vendors so that they could deliver items prior to our wedding day. To our great surprise, their services continued throughout the event when their very helpful security services helped jump start a guest’s car. I simply cannot say enough about Pebble Hill Plantation and their events team – it is truly a special place that we will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Such a beautiful home. The women that guided us through the plantation had a rich knowledge of the history and were so friendly. It was a great experience!

Give yourself 4 to 6 hours to really enjoy this place. The tour was good and the house was beautiful. Children under 5are not able to go into the house so plan accordingly. The master bedrooms were turned into an Native American artifact gallery and a display for time piece setting furniture. I think it would have been better if we could have had a glimpse at what it would have looked like during Pansie's residence. The upstairs is now an Art Gallery. So even though I loved the Native American artifacts it makes more sense to locate it upstairs. Our Guide was good but there were quite a few questions he could not answer from our group. I really appreciated being able to wonder at our own pace through the grounds, stables and milking quarters. They were as impressive as the interior of the house. I would highly recommend going!

We did a tour of several cities and ended in Thomasville, GA. It was the highlight of our summer city tour. I could have spent the whole day at Pebble Hill. It was a great tour and the grounds were immaculate.
