What clients say about Putnam County Recycling Center in Eatonton (GA)
First off let me say the people who actually work at the facility a male and female are great very friendly and keep the place always looking very clean and organized. Considering what it is it is unbelievably neat. That being said ive been coming here since we bought our home in December '25. 6 months my husband and I have been there atleast 4 out of the days it is open some weeks we're there daily since we have been remodeling the home we bought. So we ha e literally torn every room down and remodeled each floor up. Then the yard has kept us just as busy. All that said out of the 6 months we've come and gone from there daily not once have I seen the "not so nice man in the white truck with WM logo on the side." This statement said to me by many of my neighbors and so many patrons using the facility and up until last week I had not had the "pleasure" of meeting this man. The statement said to me by so many is actually being very very nice! That man is horrible! He is racist exist and just an all around nasty hateful person. How could any company be ok with someone like that putting such a terrible cloud over such an otherwise sunny friendly place? I had thrown 2 bags of garbage out on one side of the place and drove over to the other side to throw some old wood where we had torn out our porch and was walking back around the truck to move to another dumpster where lawn cuttings and such were to be discarded and out of nowhere this truck pulls up right behind my truck and a black man jumps out telling me I was not welcome there I needed to leave and not come back. He then raising his voice so anyone within the place could hear him call me a "scavenger". And refused to explain why he would say that and in such a nasty way. He did not ask me a single question simply jumped making his own assumptions on what I was doing there. As he jumped back in his truck he said I've been watching you on camera. Um ok watching me? Watching me what put things in their proper bins as I should? Never once have I seen that "person" around that place. Not once in 6 months. Horrible I cant believe any company would want someone like that in any sort of supervisory position. Regardless I will be back at that facility simply because its 3 miles from my house. And if he dares jump in my face again as he did last week I will call the police and file a report against that man and I will place a formal complaint with the company once I'm done with this Google review. I will also contact The city of eatonton and report this horrible person working for a subcontracted company representing the city of eatonton for recycling. We pay our taxes and pay to use this facility. He can just go to HADES!
Didn't even get to step out of my truck before the worker started to yell I couldn't be there. After explaining that I could he debated me about it until we met in the middle and decided I could be there.
The workers were rude to my husband bc they thought that he was lying about being disabled. He shouted at my husband very aggressive. The man is lucky that I was there and our son.
